There were some questions about the sign in sheet meeting HIPPA regulation. The couriers who deliver supplies and pick up specimens are an outside vendor. I'm happy to report that this location is now open again after temporarily closing during covid. I was not thrilled at the prospect of driving all the way out to the north end of the island for an 8am blood draw. If you're heading north on Hwy 17 from A1A, it will be on your right. It's just behind an ob-gyn office. I didn't make an appointment but it's definitely a good idea.

Seems a number system like others use would be more efficient to ensure correct patient goes back when called. Say this because during my visit a first name was called and two patients had that name, however the other patient went back thereby taking correct patient's appointment time. The patient with the appointment had scheduled around a meeting, was late due to this, and ultimately had to leave after waiting well beyond appointment time. When, she brought it to the attention of the ONLY TECH APPARENTLY WORKING when she opened the door to call me-my appointment was after the lady who'd been caused to miss hers-the tech went ahead and took me back thereby causing there to be no correction to what had happened. So, if there'd been someone manning the window, that patient could have spoken up and the error could have been immediately corrected! It's a terrible, untimely, unprofessional, mismanaged, understaffed and awful patient experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! The hospital lab is top notch, but my insurance went to stand alone testing labs. It's the only way to avoid more excessive insurance costs. I may still choose the hospital and pay more just to avoid this place.

I have Never had an experience where the staff, nurses, or doctors were rude or non-caring. Since most of the complaints target the ER staff I have to say, I found them completely caring, quick to respond to the button you push for help, and very concerned for my comfort, i.e. pillow, extra blanket, head elevated. I don't feel the need to run to Jacksonville for tests that are perfectly performed at Baptist Nassau. The radiologist was quick to review my test and my tests results were submitted to my doctor the next day every time. I am sorry for the unpleasant experiences that others have had. Maybe their visits were in the height of COVID hospitalizations? If so that's still no excuse for rude behavior. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER NASSAU FOR ALL MEDICAL NEEDS. I hope this review gives you reason to give them a chance to change your mind.
