Poor service and not competent. Have experienced multiple issues. Not recommended to use this lab if at all possible.

The 2 ladies were clearly unhappy with their jobs or totally burned out. I see so many negatives and yet, St. Peters is doing NOTHING to change this. I hope never to return here. There are so many other blood draws. Dont come here. Ugh. Disgusted with St. Peters and Bender Labs. Shame on you!!!

I went into the Kohls' location first thing in the morning for a blood draw. There were two…read moreemployees present, a younger woman and an older woman. They were loudly shouting back and forth from one end of the office to another. At first it was just pleasantries. Unprofessional, for sure, but I just wanted to get the blood draw done quickly. The younger employee began complaining about the codes that were listed on my blood draw order. She yelled to the other employee that the codes were incorrect and that "these doctors just don't care." Then she shouted my doctor's name, a well respected member of the medical community, and said "he should know better." I was shocked. The other employee asked her who the doctor was. She shouted his name even louder. The older employee then shouted "He's old. He should retire!" I was appalled at the lack of respect for a member of the medical community and for me, his patient. I had never experienced this type of unprofessionalism in a medical facility. I was going to retrieve the work order and leave when the younger employee called me in and said they were not going to be able to draw my blood because there were incorrect codes on the order. I took the order and quickly left the office. When I got home, I emailed Patient Experience at St. Peter's Partners. Within a half hour I received a response from the coordinator apologizing for what I experienced and assuring me that the incident was being referred to management and to Human Resources. A half hour later, I received a phone call from the woman who supervises all 14 St. Peter's labs. She reviewed the facts with me and then said she was on her way to have a discussion with these two employees. She said that this type of unprofessionalism would not be tolerated. She was appalled at the statement of my doctor being too old and should retire. I am grateful that St. Peter's responded quickly to this incident. Hopefully they will take action to make sure that no customer ever has to endure this type of unprofessionalism again. I appreciate their apologies, but I will never set foot in this lab again. And I had been a steady customer there since they opened. This is how you lose business.

The next closest was 1365 Washington Ave, so I went there only to find that that location too was closed. The QR code, generated by Trinity Health and posted for patient information is incorrect! I have a bad hip and walk with a cane, the reason for this bloodwork was for a pre-op clearance for a total hip replacement. In this day and age, with the technology of a QR code, a patient portal and the ability to transmit system wide messages, why hadn't I ever received any notification that all but one of the St. Peter's labs were closed? With all the BS written about Trinity Health patient 'care' services - this very elemental level of 'care' is abominable.

Although it's on Hackett Boulevard, there's no signage indicating its presence, making it a very exclusive destination for CBC aficionados. The waiting area is dreary 70's Hospital Moderne, but there's virtually no waiting due to the sequestered location. Leukocytes, platelets and erythrocytes will be expertly drawn by an affable technician, ending with the application of a small bandage that will only slightly tear at your arm hairs upon later removal. All in all, a good experience, and I'll be back once a year or so, because who wants to overdo the luxury?

I had to confirm my email address over and over which isn't done by clicking a link in the email but going back to the patient portion of the site (written instructions in the confirm email). It took about three hours to book this appointment. I paid the $10 I was supposed to and agreed to all of the things. Then when I got there, they had no record of me filling out the consent forms or the $10. The lady on-site had no way to resolve the issue (such as by herself charging me the $10 and singing the form again) other than to tell me to book another appointment and try again. Tried the check-in kiosk three times while I was there and it kept wedging on the same screen then crashing. The $10 isn't a big deal but this level of bumbling belongs no where near medicine. This location is part of a medical center/hospital like setup, inside of it, right by a loading area, and drivers without masks kept unloading people. Failed to find any way to contact support. Had my credit card company reverse the charge. Medicine in the US is absolutely stuck in the stone ages.
