I needed to get blood work done for my insurance company, which they have a partnership with. In the past, I have gone to their clinic located in Dunwoody, GA, and have always had a pleasant experience there. This location was not as pleasant. So I arrived at 10:33 am and my appt was for 10:10am, so I was late. It was not a big deal because they take walk ins. I simply needed to make an appointment to ensure the location had my paperwork when i arrived. I walked into a completely empty room, and no patients at all were waiting. There were 4 women behind the window having a conversation. They glanced at me when I walked in, said nothing, and then went back to the conversation. I proceeded to go to the kiosk located right in front of the window and signed in. The computer allowed me to choose a walk-in appointment since I was late. The next available appt was 11am, but the computer said they would call me when they were able to. I sat down, and 15 minutes later, one of the women called my name, and I walked over to the window, giving her my insurance card and ID. Once everything was scanned, she called me to the back. My interaction with the woman was good. She was amicable and got straight to business. She did the exam and blood work with care, and I was in and out within 10 minutes. The exam room and the entire clinic seemed dirty. I could smell the bathroom just sitting in the room across from it. A little paint and bleach go a long way. It must have been a slow day because I did not see any patients at the facility during my entire visit. Overall, it was an ok experience. I was able to get what I needed done. If I lived in the area and needed to go back to Quest Diagnostics, I would probably choose another location.

I was told by the doctor's office I take my mom to about this location which is so newly opened…read morethat it's still not on the Quest Diagnostics website at the time of this review. I had to take my mom here because when we went to another well known laboratory to have her tests done from a written script from the doctor, the lab didn't complete / do all of the tests requested. That was not good as it's already like fighting a hungry bear to get my mom to go get anything medical done, so when I was told this Quest Diagnostics lab location was in the same building as the doctor's office, it was a god send because I could kill two birds w/ one stone while visiting the doctor. This way, my mom wouldn't be as upset about having to go to two locations, again. In addition, the lab technician @ this Quest Diagnostics location was super nice and patient with my mom (who at this point was especially cantankerous because she had been fasting in order to do her labs). Unlike the other lab who didn't do the tests as requested, Chanel (I believe that was her name) from Quest Diagnostics at this location was really nice and ensured she had all of the vials verified for submission and everything was completed. At this time, Chanel was taking walk-ins. I don't know if that was because we came from an office in the same medical building and can't say if this will be ongoing as the location gets more established, but it was very helpful.

It is always frustrating - and SLOW - when I come to Lab Corp. I think the biggest challenge is…read morethat they have absolutely no office/administrative staff. The techs who perform the services also check you in and get you registered. That means they see about half the patients they could if someone else did the administrative work. Add to that a very unfriendly staff and it is an all-round bad experience here. I've been checked in for 40 minutes so far waiting for a simple blood draw.

I had an appointment for 1 PM and was informed by the app that I can check in at 12:30. I arrived at 12:30, checked in, and was offered an option to wait in my car for convenience ... that I would be notified by a text message for me to walk in. 1:15 comes and I hadn't received a text message at all, so I walk inside and wait. 1:30 ... nothing, as I see people constantly being escorted in the back. In inquire and was told that the text messaging option doesn't work and that, when I checked in at 12:30, someone called my name in the lobby. She apologized and said she'd make sure I was called back next. Two more batches of people are called back. I inquire yet again, and I'm told, "I'm so sorry. You'll definitely be called back next round." It's now 2:00, and I have been here since 12:30 for an appointment scheduled at 1:00. I have never had this issue at any other Labcorp. I will not be returning to this location. In addition, the place is not clean at all! Dirt and dust everywhere. This chair looks like it used to be white. There is hair on the tray in which she wants me to put my arm.
