There are serious issues with the staff at your 3200 Blue Ridge Road location in Raleigh, NC…read more In addition to making me wait for 20+ minutes past my scheduled appointment time, they also drew 4x more blood than was needed. I was just there to get my iron levels tested, and they should have known that because I physically handed them the order showing this. Yet for some reason, they started drawing multiple vials of blood, thinking (for some reason I can't possibly explain) that I was there to fill a different order -- one that they somehow had in their system, but NOT the one on the sheet of paper I handed them. This is EXTREME incompetence and malfeasance. I sent a separate complaint last Thursday via email, but no one has responded. I also already called and left voice messages with more than one (supposed) supervisor, but that was last Thursday, and no one has returned my call. I asked a staff member (one of the two present last Thursday) for a phone number where I could contact a manager, and she said that my problem had already been resolved and they were simply having a bad day. My question is, does anyone at LabCorp even care about any of this?

Even though I brought her in for the test, sent in copies of her birth certificate, my ID and court papers stating he has no legal rights to information on her due to a restraining order. So now while he sits with result I have to wait till court to find out because I won't get them in time. If this is how they treat biological parents that is disgusting!

I called Billing--they said I needed to talk to Customer Service in Colorado. I got transferred, only to be told that everything must be done by email. No help, no urgency, no solution. Meanwhile, I need to check my lab results and schedule new tests, but I'm stuck waiting for someone to maybe read my email. It's crystal clear that Labcorp prioritizes billing over actual patient care. They have a number for collecting payments, but nothing helpful for real support. Disgusting and shameful. Patients deserve better. "Labcorp, where getting your money is more important than helping you! Come and visit us we will suck your blood and take your money . I f you need help just send us an email we will try to help at our earliest convenience!!"

I now will be demanding written verification of HHS insurance coverage. The pic attached I received 90 days after blood was taken. Working part-time at minimum wage... simply cannot afford such step costs. It's sad living in a society where profits out weigh one's ability to stay healthy. There is absolutely no excuse for not having transparency communication. The lab work results was completed in 2 to 3 days. Billing 90 days later is just plan stupidity on managements fault. Had my insurance been checked before hand, I could have refused the requested lab tests and save everyone a lot of heartache. I have to include this in my bankruptcy. Extremely bad professionalism having billing 90 days out. I'll also be informing my PCP I refuse to use LabCorp for further lab tests... cost too dang much.

I called and mailed them stating that they got paid, but they still kept sending me notices and threatening to send the bill to a collection agency. I finally asked my insurance/FSA for help, and the Labcorp rep was rude but agreed that they did receive the payment. It is their ploy to get double paid! I like Labcorp because they people who work in the lab are great. It's their billing dept that is deplorable. Look at this article, they even double and triple billed the DoD!!! ======================= https://federalnewsnetwork.com/federal-newscast/2023/03/after-years-of-double-billing-dod-for-genetic-tests-labcorp-pays-2-1m-fine/ After years of double billing DoD for genetic tests, LabCorp pays $2.1M fine The company contracted to provide laboratory testing at all DoD military treatment facilities throughout the world is facing a hefty fine. Because of his negligence with refusing to listen to what the entire injury even was or even briefly checking me over. This plus the horrific sexist treatment I had to endure for an X-ray and an arm sling is a major blemish on the rating of Emerge Ortho. I did not know I had a serious head injury until that evening!!!! I could have had a seizure and died. I even had a fever of 100.5, which is very high for my avg temp of 96.3-97.1. That is major when you have a head injury. I later went to the ER when my fiancé noticed the huge bruise on the side of my face with swelling. I have a bad concussion. 500 pounds of steel ramp hit my head hard enough to do this and knock me down. Could have easily killed me. Bobby was taunting me, when I'd almost watched my child or self be squished flat under the handicap lift just before coming there, that was ignored by the teacher I was speaking with, that WATCHED the entire thing happen and didn't even ask if I was okay. Nobody called an ambulance. Everything in my purse went everywhere and not a single person or staff member helped me. Only my little boy, who is my world, helped. He belittled me over and over and told me I need to only say yes or no because he had no interest in hearing what let to the injury, what other injuries occurred and if these exacerbated diagnosed conditions. At one point he was inches from my face while I was sobbing and it was horrible and humiliating to have him that close, with the little cruel smile because he did it to show me he was in charge and could invade my personal space. This "macho-male-manspaining needs to STOP! It is not ever appropriate, especially when you are paying to see a licensed professional for help!!! Would this be fine if I was a man? No. I even spoke to a manager who basically assured me nothing would be done or said to the sick man. He needs to be behind bars before he acts on this psycho narcissistic woman-hating behavior and hurts someone (again)! I had a concussion and was confused. He never listened when I kept telling him my head hurt. He yelled in psycho-militant-style that we were not talking about my head, were we? No, he was asking about my shoulder because that was supposedly why I was there on the form I filled out. The office ladies, the X-Ray tech and the nurse were all very kind and compassionate and were also horrified and said I absolutely needed to talk to the manager so they went and got her. I apologize for any misspellings, grammar issues or sentences that don't make sense. I'm having a bit of trouble from the concussion.

The print was so small and they want you to scan in your license and insurance info. I can see many people having difficulty. Aside from that, I've had hit and miss experiences at this location. My first time was a disaster, and I had to actually come back the next day because both of my arms were too traumatized. After all that, they missed a very important draw, and I had to get it done at Duke. Today was a breeze. Aside from the difficulty checking in, I was in and out in no time and the lady that did the draw was very Comical and did a great job. She's one of the few that only had to stick me once.

Not sure if my doctor or the lab coded something wrong, but I ended up with a $3.27 bill where I didn't think there should be any charges. After discussing this at length and over time, it went to a collection agency, and assuming perhaps the code was correct, I just paid the bill. That was just under 3 months ago, LabCorp acknowledged receiving payment after I notified them of the check number and date paid as I was still receiving notices from the collection agency. Well, I just got another threatening bill for $3.27 indicating that my credit is at risk - and THIS WAS PAID months ago. For $3.27, I have a few hundred dollars of my time, as does LabCorp and the collection agency, as well as the cost of postage. Because of all these issues, I will be visiting another lab in the future even though I don't like that other lab. LabCorp is closing labs in numerous places, so not sure how much time there is before they are gone entirely, but I guess if that much effort goes into collecting $3.27 and they waste more of their time and money when it was already paid, maybe that is one of the reasons they are cutting back on locations....
