Such wonderful professionals! Always prompt and caring solutions. Found the hidden condition that was at the root of my symptoms.

On March 9th, 2026, I was yelled at by Dr Bobby White in a way that would sound as if he had control over me, like an abusive partner or parent. Because of his negligence with refusing to listen to what the entire injury even was or even briefly checking me over. This plus the horrific sexist treatment I had to endure for an X-ray and an arm sling is a major blemish on the rating of Emerge Ortho. I did not know I had a serious head injury until that evening!!!! I could have had a seizure and died. I even had a fever of 100.5, which is very high for my avg temp of 96.3-97.1. That is major when you have a head injury. I later went to the ER when my fiancé noticed the huge bruise on the side of my face with swelling. I have a bad concussion. 500 pounds of steel ramp hit my head hard enough to do this and knock me down. Could have easily killed me. Bobby was taunting me, when I'd almost watched my child or self be squished flat under the handicap lift just before coming there, that was ignored by the teacher I was speaking with, that WATCHED the entire thing happen and didn't even ask if I was okay. Nobody called an ambulance. Everything in my purse went everywhere and not a single person or staff member helped me. Only my little boy, who is my world, helped. He belittled me over and over and told me I need to only say yes or no because he had no interest in hearing what let to the injury, what other injuries occurred and if these exacerbated diagnosed conditions. At one point he was inches from my face while I was sobbing and it was horrible and humiliating to have him that close, with the little cruel smile because he did it to show me he was in charge and could invade my personal space. This "macho-male-manspaining needs to STOP! It is not ever appropriate, especially when you are paying to see a licensed professional for help!!! Would this be fine if I was a man? No. I even spoke to a manager who basically assured me nothing would be done or said to the sick man. He needs to be behind bars before he acts on this psycho narcissistic woman-hating behavior and hurts someone (again)! I had a concussion and was confused. He never listened when I kept telling him my head hurt. He yelled in psycho-militant-style that we were not talking about my head, were we? No, he was asking about my shoulder because that was supposedly why I was there on the form I filled out. The office ladies, the X-Ray tech and the nurse were all very kind and compassionate and were also horrified and said I absolutely needed to talk to the manager so they went and got her. I was so hurt and in excruciating pain! I had an hour and 1/2 drive coming from a business trip literally fighting my way there through storms & jammed up traffic. I was barely late! -Called to confirm & was told I had a fifteen minute window by the Emerge Ortho call center. When I arrived me and someone else had to wait until they unlocked the door (he told me his appointment was 5:15 pm and mine was 5:00 pm) then I had to wait my turn in line. It was 5:13 pm & the receptionist stated they had me listed as a "no show" so she walked back to see what was up.. She returned & said they turned of the equipment & it was now a ten minute window. They changed the policy on the spot?-I filed a complaint and had to leave someone a voicemail. It didn't do any good. She never returned my call. I was supposed to get shots in my back. iI was there and it is quite obvious that i can hardly walk. I had to walk down a long hallway. I stopped to rest a couple times.. When I mentioned it was difficult the woman, who stayed way ahead of me, made a quip comment that she was making sure I got my steps in. The x-ray tech offered me a wheelchair, which i gladly accepted. Because of all the walking i had to do, my spinal problem was extremely aggravated and even several days later it remains so. The front staff need to care more about the patients and get them assistance when it is clear they need it! I also saw a young man come in, hopping on one foot, his arm around his mother's shoulder as she tried to help them. Again, no assistance was offered. Finally another patient int he waiting room got up and got him a wheelchair. The doctors are nice and I have no complaints about them but the support staff leaves a lot to be desired. read more

The medical doctors seem competent but communication is lacking. It seems as though the staff do not communicate with one another at all. I don't believe they are documenting my concerns, and they seem to have more patients than they are capable of treating. Providers run in and out of patient rooms so quickly, they often forget that I am still in one. It is difficult enough to schedule a time to be seen by a doctor or pain management provider. Therapists seem to be kind and caring, but I have yet to see the same one twice. Staff members yell back and forth through the hallways. It is both disturbing and unprofessional. The facility is always busy and lines are usually long. However, you can scan the QR code on to check in. It is quick and efficient, but you must wait in the same line to check out, in person. read more

I've been a patient at EmergeOrtho for a few years. I have no complaints, have received good care and find the staff there to be kind and helpful. But, they referred me to a "foot and ankle specialist" at their Durham and Chapel Hill locations, Dr Anna Desaix. She put me on a medication I told her I had concerns about with the side effects, she indicated she had concerns, too, had me buy 2 types of creams to apply 5 x daily, buy expensive New Balance tennis shoes that were only available in a different city, specific store, and I was to wear these shoes and no others. Upon my next visit, she said the new tennis shoes weren't big enough, she didn't want any part of my feet touching the shoes, and she told me what size shoe to buy. Even the New Balance website didn't have a shoe that large so I had to order this pair from Amazon at $165. They were shipped from Flirida and arrived a week later. Way too big (size 11 EEEE) I could not walk in them without tripping. My feet swam around in them. I sent them back. At my third visit, once I told her I would not wear a shoe that was a tripping hazard, she renewed the medicine that I told her was not helping me, and said she could not help me any further and referred me to a pain management specialist. The shoes, the creams, the prescriptions, the time and money......not one thing helped. It was a huge waste of my time and money. Oh, one more thing, she criticized me for not having my shoes laced up tightly. Guess she didn't notice my right foot was swollen up so badly it looked like a big sweet potato at the end of my ankle. She might be OK to treat an ingrown nail or a bunion but she did nothing for my swollen feet and ankles. read more

Very nice staff but they don't know their left from right. One department can't see what the other can and scheduling and billing is done through another office so they can't help you if you call directly to this one, or the calls roll to the other even if you need someone from this specific location. People talking on the phone in the lobby and used cups and coffee everywhere. They allow people to shout back and forth at them in the lobby to the desk. It's very unprofessional in the lobby and behind the scenes. You can hear people shouting and laughing and talking loudly even in the doctors offices as well. It's unfortunate being the clinicians and behind the scenes staff are efficient. I would go to another location if distance weren't an issue. This place feels like a zoo! read more

This is equivalent to a fast food joint except for broken bones . I walk really fast on crutches. they had me in the last room so I went as fast as I could i crutches but the lady huffed behind me . after xrays they gave me no time to put my boot on . My boot supports me. They told me I could put it on later. I had to ask the dr to look at my foot he just looked at the X-rays . I told the dr abt them rushing me and he said we have a lot of Patients . I told Him maybe he is to busy to help me . This was the 2nd time they rushed me To get out of the room . First visit was awful but gave it a 2nd chance . Go buy a boot on Amazon and crutches and save your copay. read more

I broke my foot and they had me in, x-rayed, booted up, and out of there in under an hour and a half. Friendly staff, took my insurance, and did not charge for the boot or crutches (or maybe my insurance covered it I don't know but I have had to pay in the past in New Jersey). read more

It was impossible to schedule an mri. The scheduler had no idea what she was doing. Couldn't google the practice to figure out their fax number. expected me to call the practice and have them call her. Didn't follow through on doing their part when my doctor did their part. Had to call to schedule. Never heard from them after my labwork was faxed to them. Other places will check your creatine that day . I had to get it before and schedule my mri within 1 mo or repeat the labs. Don't recommend. Too much of a hassle. read more

I don't normally write reviews but my husband had such a bad experience with them that I had to speak on Emerge's performance. My husband went to them with his back hurting. He couldn't lay down due to pain for the MRI. It took almost 2 months before he finally was sedated for an MRI. No communication during the 2 months unless he initiated it. After he got the mri they didn't call with the results. My husband finally called them and let them know that we are done with their services. Never seen such disorganized people in my life. The doctor was a PA. Save yourself some trouble and don't go there. read more

Thank goodness for this place!! My foot started hurting for no reason one night and only go worse as the days went on. I decided to go to EmergOrtho's urgent care clinic. I arrived around 12:45 and was immediately registered by very kind staff. I waited in the waiting area around 10 minutes and was called back. They took some X-rays of my foot and then I waited about 15 more minutes for the PA to come in. He informed me that I had TWO stress fractures in my foot and showed them to me on his computer and answered any questions my husband and I had regarding treatment, etc. They had a very sweet staff person fit me for a boot and then we checked out. All staff were very nice! We were out of there in a little over an hour!! Can't get that at an emergency room. I hope I never NEED them again but if I do...I know where to go FIRST!!
