I have absolutely NO veins, they roll, blow and dive every time. This phlebotomists unfortunately had to stick me 3 times however I never felt the needles enter my body. He was extremely helpful and Patient as it was busy, many people were waiting and my blood doesn't flow out as normal it drips drop by drop into each vial 12 this time and he was able to get it done. I appreciate your time. Please though with the virus keep the Front Area Clean and assign someone to CLEAN the Screen after each use, wipe the chairs down ect. I am a senior and was shocked at the new self serve kiosks that LabCorp has resorted to to save the company money at the expense of their long time customers. I was shocked when the receptionist abruptly told people to 'Register at the Kiosk!' with no explanation why or that they can provide assistance. It's like they were saying, these seniors have to learn how to do this on their own and get on board with the new technologies. They are confusing to use for seniors that are not as technical as the younger generation. Majority of the customers when I was there today were seniors at the Brentwood CA location and each and every one had trouble figuring out how to register, plus the small screen has lettering that is so small, it is difficult to read, especially words in parenthesis. This caused quite a line at the two kiosks and they had to pull one of the phlebotomist's out from his job just to help, which caused a delay on getting our blood drawn. Besides that, these kiosks are not ADA compliant, since it forces you to stand up. I observed seniors that were struggling to keep their balance standing, while attempting to input data, one with a cane and one special needs person. They should be designed with a chair to safely sit down. The solution is simple that LabCorp should be responsible for the initial registration input, then tell the customers that going forward all they need to do is scan their ID for future appointments and get design new kiosks with bigger screens, larger lettering and seating.
