This was our first visit to this location and we couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. I made his appointment online which was very quick and easy. He received confirmation emails & texts the day before and the morning of his appointment. They have an online check in system so you can wait in the comfort of your car until they're ready for you. We arrived early, he checked in, and they had him in and out in no time. The two ladies he dealt with were extremely nice. We were done and headed home before his scheduled appointment time! The next time either of us needs to go to a facility other than our physicians office this will be our go-to place! Exceptional!

The Veterans Administration sent me to Neurological Associates of Winchester for a treatment. I…read morewent to my first appointment. They just asked questions. Told me to come back in 6 weeks. There was no card or call for the appointment. My treatment stems from a TBI while deployed to Afghanistan so, yeah. I forgot about the appointment. They sent me a $200 bill for a missed appointment. Not $50 or $100. Two hundred dollars! But, I made the appointment so I paid it. However, If they'll milk you that much over a missed appointment, I'd imagine you'd have to get a second mortgage for what insurance doesn't cover. It's a shame. They're losing outbin the long run though. My condition is treatable but not curable. They would of had a life long patient because the VA hospital is backed up for weeks and months almost constantly. (But at least try and work woth you.) Neurological Associates of Winchester chose instead just to squeeze me for a quick $200. Do yourself a favor. Find another medical treatment facility. It's obviously more about payment than treatment...... I won't be back. I may wait in line at the VA but at least they'll take care of me (Well, what the bureaucracy above the hospital let's them do, anyways.) Yes, you read that right. I chose the VA over these guys. June 2026 Update: I received another bill for an appointment I never set. Only $100 this time. Although they do have a billing company, that billing company only operates off the information they were given by Neurological Associates. Regardless, Virginia has a Uniform Arbitration Act. Under this act, a 3rd party is hired by the company, not the consumer to settle the dispute. They'll charge a lot more than the bill I was sent. I'll also take this bill to the Veterans Administration and to show abuse of their system and lobby to have Neurological Associates removed from the program.

The tests were uncomfortable, but he conducted them in a brisk manner that made them both easier to endure and over the more quickly. I was very pleased. The receptionist who concluded my visit was extremely kind. Overall, I genuinely recommend this practice.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID they WILL charge you an extreme amount compared to other facilities. My doc…read morewanted me to get an abdominal CT scan so I came here. The CT scan took about 15 minutes total, the tech was very nice. Then came the bill; over $4,000 for the scan with contrast. To put that into perspective that's twice what I paid for an hour long MRI with contrast at another facility. This isn't just higher than average, this is almost double what I would expect to pay for this procedure. FYI if you do a prepayment it's only $500 but I was never told about or offered this option, I only found out about it after I read about it online. After the shock of the bill I called their billing department to ask why it's so high and if there's anyway to reduce the cost since I'll be paying out of pocket to be told that costs are set by the state, which is inherently false. The person on the phone then proceeded to put me on hold for a while before trying to transfer me to their manager for 15 minutes. When the manager didn't pick up, I left a voicemail and was told I would get a call back within 24-48 hours. Four days later and it's still all quiet. So long story short, I'll avoid going to Winchester Imaging in the future so long as their costs are prohibitively expensive. It's worth it to drive the 30 minutes to an hour to get to another facility than pay over twice what you would elsewhere.

When the "technician" came back in the room and said the CT scan was finished, I laughed said that I didn't even know it started. Every CT and MRI I've ever had they tell you when it's starting how long it's gonna be etc., etc. I was still waiting for the scan to begin. What is the point of having a CT technician performing the scans if they're not gonna QC the results to ensure the images they just captured were adequate for a doctor to read? When I worked for an MRI facility years ago, we always checked the images to make sure they were clear and there wasn't movement or business. If something was off, we would repeat the series. I've reached out to my doctor and to Winchester Imaging for next steps because I want and need the scan performed again and better. I will follow up with the resolution here.
