LOOK AT ALL OF THESE 1 STAR REVIEWS…read more I was referred to Neurologic Associates after a car accident and experienced months of delays just trying to be seen. My appointment was canceled a week beforehand with no explanation, and repeated calls to the office went unanswered for long periods with no option to leave a voicemail. When I finally reached someone, I was told the next available appointment was much later unless I agreed to see a brand-new provider. The scheduler told me this brand new provider did not have "decades of experience" like the person I was originally scheduled to see -- which I'm not sure made me feel very confident about my appointment being changed. The provider might not feel great about the way she was characterized and represented as a medical professional by her own staff either. I hope the new provider reads this. The staff member I spoke with (Heather) was dismissive and unsympathetic, focusing on how busy the office was rather than acknowledging my situation, and from reading these other 1 star reviews I know that I am not alone in my opinion. After I later posted a generic and factual Google review describing my experience and suggesting more kindness and empathy toward callers, the office manager IMMEDIATELY called me (we know what she is doing all day, fussing over Google reviews!) and took great pleasure in telling me I was no longer "allowed" to be a patient--stating the practice owner instructed them to "cut ties" with me. I have never met the owner Dr. Landrio, so this is professionalism at its best. I really felt like I was in the 3rd grade being talked to like I was an insolent child. Its sad, but I feel more sorry for them. Going to work each day and hating your job. Sharing that feeling with everyone you speak to. Making a medical practice a misery and they sure do love company. This reaction to a routine, non-hostile review was shockingly childish and unprofessional. Medical offices should not retaliate against patients for providing feedback. Patients seeking neurological care are often injured, stressed, and vulnerable, and basic professionalism, accessibility, and emotional maturity should be the minimum standard. Way to go Heather & your Office Manager :) I sense neither of you like your job and I mean no disrespect but some people are not cut out for customer service. In this practice it does not exist. Otherwise why are your customer reviews so terrible? Having me not be your patient isn't going to fix your office's terrible reputation and problems being KIND GOOD PEOPLE! I'm sending a copy of this review to the local paper because being fired as a patient before I ever became one is a first! If you have a choice, and you do, beware going to a place where human decency is lacking. It will likely show up in your life saving medical care.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID they WILL charge you an extreme amount compared to other facilities. My doc…read morewanted me to get an abdominal CT scan so I came here. The CT scan took about 15 minutes total, the tech was very nice. Then came the bill; over $4,000 for the scan with contrast. To put that into perspective that's twice what I paid for an hour long MRI with contrast at another facility. This isn't just higher than average, this is almost double what I would expect to pay for this procedure. FYI if you do a prepayment it's only $500 but I was never told about or offered this option, I only found out about it after I read about it online. After the shock of the bill I called their billing department to ask why it's so high and if there's anyway to reduce the cost since I'll be paying out of pocket to be told that costs are set by the state, which is inherently false. The person on the phone then proceeded to put me on hold for a while before trying to transfer me to their manager for 15 minutes. When the manager didn't pick up, I left a voicemail and was told I would get a call back within 24-48 hours. Four days later and it's still all quiet. So long story short, I'll avoid going to Winchester Imaging in the future so long as their costs are prohibitively expensive. It's worth it to drive the 30 minutes to an hour to get to another facility than pay over twice what you would elsewhere.

When the "technician" came back in the room and said the CT scan was finished, I laughed said that I didn't even know it started. Every CT and MRI I've ever had they tell you when it's starting how long it's gonna be etc., etc. I was still waiting for the scan to begin. What is the point of having a CT technician performing the scans if they're not gonna QC the results to ensure the images they just captured were adequate for a doctor to read? When I worked for an MRI facility years ago, we always checked the images to make sure they were clear and there wasn't movement or business. If something was off, we would repeat the series. I've reached out to my doctor and to Winchester Imaging for next steps because I want and need the scan performed again and better. I will follow up with the resolution here.
