    Chair is crooked.

    My husband and I purchased a recliner rocker from LaZBoy. We special ordered a fabric. We were told that if we did not like the chair when it came, there would be a 30% restocking fee. The chair was delivered and the fabric choice was fine. However, the chair had a strong chemical smell. It did not fit us like the one we sat in at the store. It was uncomfortable. One side of the back fit nicely on the chair arm, the other gaped about 2". The chair was crooked- one side higher than the other. We made two trips to the store to check out the chair on the floor to really compare it to the chair that we received. They were not the same fit and my feet did not even touch the floor on the new one. This chair was clearly not well made. We covered the chair in our home so we didn't have to smell it and waited on LaZBoy to answer our emails or "be in the store" etc. The bottom line... we had to lose 30% for a chair that was not properly made by LaZBoy. We could have lost only 10% if we had purchased something else from them. We, frankly, had had it with the quality of the chair we bought and did not want to get something else plus there was not anything that would go in our home on the floor. We also had to pay back the delivery and tax- not sure why we had to pay a tax on a return. I ranked it one star because the staff was nice, but they did not stand up for us to the manager when LaZBoy sent an inferior chair. Maybe it's easy to be nice when you know that you will "win" regardless of the situation.

    Jasper, our Great Dane, absolutely loves his new LaZBoy Roman Chair. He's just got to figure out the power buttons and he is good to go.

But they billed my charge card for the full amount, including shipping. When I disputed the amount of the charge, they told Visa it was correct. If I had ordered from another company, I could have had the table in less than half the time and for a lot less stress and hassle. I had called and asked Debbie about lead times before I placed the order. I gave her all the details of what I wanted, including the black color. She said I could order online and have it in 2.5 to 3 weeks. Eleven days after the LAST day Debbie promised I would receive the black table, it was nowhere in sight. So, I started calling the company. Then I was told it would take another month or two to get the table. I was going to cancel the order. But Brian at the company offered to waive shipping charges and ship me a table in a different color right away to keep me from cancelling. I agreed. When I opened my VISA bill, I saw they charged me the full amount, with shipping, not the no-shipping amount they'd promised when I agreed to take the table in another color if they waived shipping charges and got it to me in 2 to 3 weeks. They had already given me a lot of conflicting information, so I didn't trust them. (First Phil told me the black table I ordered had shipped and "was on the boat". Two days later, Debbie told me the table had not shipped yet and was still in Norway. Ummm, what, the boat turned around and the table was unloaded?) When I saw they charged me more than they promised, and did it the day they got my order, and I still didn't have a table in any color... well, first off the amount of the charge needed to be corrected. Second, WHAT COMPANY CHARGES A CREDIT CARD WHEN THEY TAKE AN ORDER, INSTEAD OF WHEN THE ORDER SHIPS? That was another red flag, on top of the conflicting stories about whether or not the table had shipped. With lots of red flags, I did not want to let the VISA charge go past 60 days without getting a table. I doubt it's a coincidence they shipped me a table just 2 days after I disputed the charge. After they promised me a black table in 2.5 to 3 weeks, it took them almost 7 weeks to get me a table in a color I didn't want. When I protested they amount of the charge to Visa, they disputed my protest. Ultimately Visa found in my favor and I did not pay for shipping, but the time and hassle and delays getting the table and only getting it in a color I didn't really want... really, I should have shopped ANYWHERE else. I will never deal with these people again. Consider yourself warned...

    Worst delivery ever! I paid them for delivery mind you, it was not free. They severly ruined my…read morefront storm door. They dropped the 400 pound box on the hardware for my storm door closer and completely ripped the closure out of the frame and told me it was messed up already. I can't keep the door shut now. I have two dogs that can push on the door and escape now if I do not have the door locked. I have to keep the door locked all the time until I get it fixed. I was trying to wait until the owner came and looked at the damages but I haven't heard anything from him. I called twice. I paid cash so I guess they're through with me. I wished I used a credit card so I can dispute enough to cover the damages. I had someone look at the damages and he said, to do it right we'd have to put in a new frame. The frame is a one piece unit so you just can't cut a piece of wood down and just plug it in there and patch up the ripped out wood. If I could add pictures, I would. I need a new frame to fix it correctly. My door won't stay shut all the way anymore as when they dropped the sofa it hit the handle too because it sits uneven now as the handle used to be horizontal. I called them twice and of course Omar said the owner is on spring break. Haven't heard from them yet. Also, what store owner leaves his business with no one in charge. The second in command should be calling me and checking out the damages. So it looks like they're just trying to avoid me. They don't want to take responsibility for the damages. Jeff was the salesman who sold me the sofa. He also was part of the 3 man delivery team. They needed four people. They should have cut the box open outside and brought it in piece by piece which probably would have been quicker and less dangerous for them and my home as they totally ruined my nice storm door. I tried to buy new hardware for the handle and I can't find anything that matches it. I'm so furious at them. Also I smelled alcohol on them and also marijuana. The reeked of marijuana. So they're driving the company vehicle stoned and delivering 400 pound boxes stoned.Therefore, they dropped the box on my doorway and now try to blame it on me and saying it was already like that. Would you believe that garbage. Jeff, the salesman was part of the delivery team too.. He did not look at me at all. He acted as if I wasn't there. He didn't say hello, nothing. I am a busy person and I don't appreciate that I had to sit here for an hour typing this up. This occurred at the 3536 North Brady street location in Davenport, Iowa. Yelp, I had trouble finding the correct location. I assume the same person owns both stores. I do not notice they pay attention to the reviews. But if this review is removed, that means they took responsibility for the damages.

    My furniture was delivered yesterday, and unfortunately, I was unable to be present for the…read moredelivery due to my work commitments. As a result, I missed the opportunity to oversee the entire setup process. The delivery team went ahead and assembled everything as planned, including plugging in the various pieces. However, I've run into a significant issue: my electrical recliner is not functioning at all. This malfunction is particularly frustrating because I was really looking forward to enjoying my new furniture, especially the recliner, which was a major selling point for me. To make matters worse, I've been informed that I will have to wait a full two weeks before a technician can come to examine the chair and determine what's wrong with it. I sincerely hope that the issue can be resolved quickly and that I will soon be able to enjoy the comfort of my recliner as intended. Reflecting on this experience, I've come to realize a valuable lesson: not every deal that seems too good to be true actually is. In this case, I feel like I've learned a costly lesson worth around $4,000. I had high hopes for my new furniture, and now I find myself dealing with unexpected complications. It's a reminder to be cautious and do thorough research before making significant purchases. I just hope that in the end, the wait will be worth it, and I will soon be able to relax in my new recliner.

When my couch did not fit the spot I wanted it at, they never even asked me what I wanted to do, they just threw it back on the truck and left. Unbelievable!
