"Le Plaisir Commence Ici" (Pleasure Starts Here) is marked on all the wine glasses at Côté Cuisine in Reims, and it was a marvelous introduction to eating my first meal in Reims. There are several menu options from 32-50 Euros ($36-56 USD), with prices climbing upwards depending on how many drinks you wanted with your meal. I chose the 39 Euro menu of starter, main and one glass of an apéro and one glass of wine. My friend didn't like the set menu options so she ordered a starter and a main à la carte and just one glass of wine for about the same price. If you reserve with The Fork, you can also get a 20% reduction on 2 courses ordered à la carte. Service in the Summer will be very slow with limited (and temporary) waitstaff, so reserve ahead and be patient, especially if you want the garden seats. My friend ordered the rabbit terrine and enjoyed it tremendously. It was obviously freshly made and the flavors were nicely married. The portion is very big, so this would be a great starter to share if you are not very hungry. I love confit gizzard salad and I can only find it in France, so I almost always order it when I see it on the menu, and this version with pomegranate seeds, blueberries, red onions, and radishes tossed in a fruity vinaigrette, was one of the best I've eaten. The portion was so generous that I could have easily eaten just this as my meal! My friend chose one of the specials of the day for her main course, parmentier, a baked meat dish with mashed potatoes on top. She said the meat was a bit dry but the flavor was good. Once again this plate was a large portion, and since this was a hearty dish to eat in the heat and there are no doggie bags in France, make sure you bring your appetite! My friend's parmentier came with a side salad that was quite lovely, but she didn't get around to eating it after her very large portions of starter and main. I ordered the sardines with a spinach soufflé for my main and unfortunately the sauce could not save the overcooked fish, however, the spinach soufflé was lovely, and after my large salad, I was quite content to just eat my vegetables on this plate. My menu came with a dessert, and even though we really didn't have room, we somehow found a place to fit in some summer fruit and sorbet to end the night on a sweet note :)

The burger patty was moist and a little pink in the middle. The other burger we got was the onion burger. While the grilled onions were delicious, the onion ring inside was a disappointment. It was soggy, not crispy at all and really just added a mushy texture to the whole burger. The bun was just a dry bread but at least the patty was well cooked. They both came with fries that were also better compared to the ones inside the park. They didn't have sauces like ranch so we had to eat the fries with ketchup and mustard. There was a special where you can get a burger and a brownie for a set price so we did that. The brownie was a nice slice with a large scoop of ice cream. The menu is fairly simple with about 4-5 options each for your starter, main and dessert for a 55€ price without drink. I ordered Walt's salad followed by the sea bass and then pineapple upside down cake to finish. All 3 of the foods were servings on the smaller side and none of them stood out to me. They looked pretty on the plate but taste wise warranted no more than a 3 score. I almost gave a 2 score for these reasons. First with a soft drink the bill for this lunch was 61€. That is expensive and especially so for the small servings and average taste. The second problem was time. After I was seated it took 15 minutes for the waitress to appear. Then after ordering it took 20 minutes for the salad to be delivered. Then 30 minutes after finishing the salad the main course was brought to the table. Then after finishing the main, I requested for the dessert to be delivered and it took 10 more minutes and then when finished with the meal it took another 15 minutes for the bill to be brought to me for payment. That lunch took about 1.5 hours from start to finish and I didn't come to Disneyland Paris to spend most of my time eating an overpriced lunch. I know that meals are slow in France however the Park is only open for so many hours in a day and diners don't have time to spend most of it in this restaurant, This meal should have lasted no more than 1 hour. I should have known this wasn't going to be a good experience when the menu was delivered to me. The front cover was faded and worn (see pic). A good restaurant wouldn't let that happen. We were sat against the wall with the fold down movie theater seats but be careful - when I stood up I ended up pulling my seat off and was no longer able to use the chair! Most of the diners in my party shared different burgers (which they all enjoyed and seemed to be enough to share). I selected the Le Wok de Canard which was a duck stir fry. It was very delicious and the meat was quite tender. It was served on a bed of thinly slides vegetables like carrots and zucchini. For being located in a smaller city (not Paris) I would have expected the servers to be a little more friendly but they were friendly enough for it not to impact our experience. I would recommend Les Cornichons but allow for more time to enjoy the decor and atmosphere.
