Let's begin. It is very difficult to find using the location with yelp. We asked several people…read morewhere it was until 30 minutes later, we found it. Greeted by a hostess after standing around for a bit, informed that they only accept cash. That is a shock. But thankfully I had a few bucks in my wallet. The staff is quite young and seem to get frazzled when the place is full so the wait times for everything is long. The menu, although attempted to be multilingual really isn't. So ordering is a chore. When we did receive our food much much later, it is served in the pans that it is cooked in. Pretty cool presentation. Some dishes were great, others were not good. I would've given a four star review if it weren't for the cash surprise upon arrival. Deserts were lack luster.

The wild boar and the linguine with langoustines are highly recommended. The selection of Corsican wines is also very satisfactory. We (me and the wife) had our first Corsican meal here. And boy was it a doozy!…read more First, the location is hard to beat, we ate outside on the terrasse overlooking a small and beautiful beach. The restaurant is really secluded, it's pretty much the only building around. We decided to make the trip to the restaurant by walking there which was so worth it (the small hike is along on a trail along the coast and really pretty). I highly recommend it but you can also drive to the restaurant by taking a rough road. The service was great, our waiter was really friendly and patiently answered all the questions we had about the menu and the various and unusual fishes they had available that day. All the fishes were local and had been caught the morning of. To help us pick, he even brought a whole bunch of them on a large platter, it was like getting a personalized visit from a fishmonger, awesome! This is what we had: First courses: - Tomato and mozzarella with pistou - local charcuterie: coppa and saucisson (dry sausage) Main course: - Mustelle and potatoes marinated in white wine and eggplant. We went with one of the fishes he had presented and suggested and weren't disappointed. It was super tasty, the meat was very delicate. It's a rare fish so am pretty sure I won't have it again and that's too bad because it was delicious. They prepared it really well and the potatoes and eggplant that came with it were equally awesome. Dessert: We tried the mousse de châtaignes and the panna cotta, both were a bit light in flavor to my taste but still welcome since it was such a warm day. We accompanied all of this with the local beer (very refreshing), local white wine (light and great for the summer), and finished the meal with a taste of their Myrthe liquor (you should definitely try it, it's a very local drink and it's a great way to end a meal).

We were seated at the lovely terrace with a beautiful view of the Calvi bay, and were immediately presente the menu with specials by a lovely waitress who also spoke excellent English when our amateurish French failed. As well as getting all the additional details right, the food at La Table di a Loghja is superb and well presented. We shared an iceberg salad with spicy mayo and onions (the "house salad" - genius in its simplicity), and had white fish carpaccio (I fail to remember which type of fish) with grapefruit, and the langoustine linguine in Cap Corse sauce. The fish carpaccio was fresh and vibrant tasting, and the lingine was the BEST dish we have had in Corsica - absolutely to die for! We managed to sqeeze in room for desserts - pavlova with red berry sauce and chestnut sablee with pastry cream, which were also delicious. The best meal I have had during our 6 night stay in Calvi!

The best thing about this place is the terrace, which is lovely and has a nice harbour view. For breakfast we tried the muesli (seems to come from a packet), the chestnut pancakes (ok, but nothing more), the chocolate chestnut muffin (had nutella inside, which was nice, but the muffin itself was bland), and the omelet (very good). The coffee is sadly terrible. For lunch, we had salads (the corsican salad and the caesar salad), which were fine, but nothing to rave about.

That was redundant and disappointing. In a real city like Paris or a real beach tourism location like Nice this place would likely not survive Service seemed very stretched and stressed. Everything was slower, less natural and somehow unhappy. Maybe serving tourists for low pay isn't fun, but neither is being a tourist being served by people who are clearly not happy in their job Last note- our server essentially ignored us after we ordered. If you eat here be prepared to fight for anything you need after your initial order. That includes getting and being able to pay the bill
