We were lucky to get street parking right in front of the door but there is also a garage very close. The food was fantastic! For antipasti, my husband had the octopus carpaccio and it was very fresh, while I had green asparagus with prosciutto and Parmesan, which was also very good. No over cooked asparagus! For our entrees we had the spaghetti with Parmesan and truffle and the ravioli with mussels. I was afraid the spaghetti would be too heavy with cream and the truffle overwhelming but it was actually light and subtle with a perfect balance of truffle. The ravioli was also delicious. Dessert was not needed but we indulged in the semifreddo and like everything else, we loved it. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Stuttgart but not a lot of good ones. Valle is my favorite because the food was authentic (I have spent a lot of time all over Italy) and the service is great. The ambiance is nice and somewhat modern which is a nice change. I'd recommend reservations, especially on a weekend.

Came across a photo of their Spaghetti Frutti di Mare (seafood pasta) online and was blown away by…read morethe colors and peoples reviews so I decided to give this a try. Dropped by when they were not that busy and chose a seat next to the window, told them I was there alone but the server came by ANOTHER two times 1. Trying to pour my water into the other glass 2. Asking me if I'm alone again. If you are a busy restaurant and my area is full of people, sure that's understandable, but I was the only table for that whole half of the restaurant so what's the excuse here? It was SO HARD to get on hold of anyone to 1. Get water 2. Order 3. To pay, and literally they gave my desserts to me when the entree came like are you kidding me? What service am I paying for? Back to the food: If the flavors are out of the world I would forget how bad their services is, but it was okay. No wonder they say it is "the best Spaghetti Frutti di Mare in Stuttgart" because it is really not special if you are out of there. Adding black truffle gave it another layer of flavors which made it more interesting but I definitely didn't get a bough seafood as what I saw on other reviews, the shrimp is hella dry and one of the clam was empty. The sauce was ok but I have tasted much better ones in a lot of places. Only thing that stops me from giving a 1 star is their tiramisu, it is really good!!portion is great and it gathers all the good points which a good tiramisu has. I wish it was served after my entree is finished tho don't know why they were rushing. After waiting for ages the server finally came back to give me the bill, in between he literally served new tables, did everything but coming to my corner, and that's when I know I would never ever come back here despite of how good their food looks on social media. It's definitely a NO for me.

So last night, we decided to check out an Italian resto that was highly recommended by several…read moreYelpers as having the best pizza in Stuttgart. Before I start the review, I have to confess that as a Canadian, my idea of an awesome pizza is a lot different than the pizza served in Germany as a rule. The main difference, I think, is that I like the ingredients on my pizza cut up small, and I like lots of cheese. That being said, I have eaten pizza in Venice, so I can appreciate pizza in Germany, which is much closer to Venetian pizza than Canadian. So here we go with the review ... First about the ambiance and the restaurant itself. We loved it! It was a lovely warm night, and the outdoor garden of Il Pomodoro (and the many other eateries beside it) were spilling over with a fun crowd of people eating, drinking and generally having fun. Great atmosphere! I would rate the ambiance of the outdoor terrace as a 5/5. Inside the restaurant seems quite nice also (had to use the upstairs washroom which was nice and clean), so I snapped a pic of the wood burning oven in which the pizza is made. It looks awesome, doesn't it? One of the items on the menu was Dorado (a fish) baked directly on the stone - we didn't have that since we came specifically for the pizza, so we'll have to come back. By the way, the inside of the restaurant is air conditioned :-) Now about the pizza. My german husband loved his Al Capone large pizza, which had just the right number of shrimp for his taste, and looked really yummy. He rated his pizza as a 4/5. I had the Diavola pizza (salsiccia sausage, mushrooms and hot green peppers). I would rate my pizza as a 3/5, because on the whole pizza, there were only 2 slices of the salsiccia, about 4 slices of mushroom, and two whole, rather large peppers). Also, the pizza dough was quite wet in the centre, rather than crispy. The outer edge of the dough was really awesome though, crispy and very tasty. In conclusion, I will say that we will visit this location of Il Pomodoro again, and try some non-pizza entrees.

Came in on a Tuesday for dinner with a colleague to a packed house. We were able to grab seats at…read morethe bar and were greeted "and deutsch" but asked if they spoke English. Thankfully, almost al of the staff spoke English! I ordered the Il Pomodoro salad as a starter and the linguini pesto was the weekly special on the "card" or menu. The drinks were great, the food was great but the staff here really made the place special. Unlike most other restaurants we've eaten at the last two weeks in Stuttgart, the staff here is awesome. They are nice and super friendly whereas we've had some real bad service in this city I guess bc we're Americans. Overall I'd definitely stop in to check this place out.
