When we tried to return the items, the store refused because she did not have a receipt. A Catch-22. I showed the store "keyholder" (she said that made her the manager) the charge on my credit card but she said that was insufficient. The store is engaged in fraudulent retail activity - they don't give a receipt and then refuse returns because the customer does not have a receipt. Parents, DO NOT let your children patronize this store if you ever want them to be able to return unwanted merchandise. I called the Garage customer service line and they would only say that they had to defer to the store. When I asked to speak to a manager they said I had to leave my number and someone would call me back "in the next few days." Horrible customer service.

I realized very quickly that my clothes were getting snug but still too small for actual maternity…read moreclothes- luckily I was able to walk in and meekly show the store associate I was no longer able to zip up and close my jeans :/, I was embarrassed but it was the best explanation to see if she could help and she made me feel very comfortable and showed me these awesome "belly bands"! She showed me other things that will help me as my pregnancy progresses and have me coupons and magazines that will help keep costs down. Will definitely head back because the service was great

Just a heads up to any pregnant friends, anyone who knows someone who is pregnant or just also HATES BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE like me: DO NOT SHOP MOTHERHOOD MATERNITY ONLINE. As a matter of a fact, don't shop them all together. I went out on a limb and ordered some tops. One in particular was WAY out of my price range. But I thought, why not? I even ordered a size larger than normal and this was AFTER measuring myself and using their so called "size chart" Anyways, I ordered 3 tops all in the exact same order. 2 have already arrived, 1 is on its way from OUT WEST! The two that arrived I'm SO UNHAPPY with! They are the same size but one is significantly smaller than the other! AND the one that doesn't fit is the expensive one. So I'm sure I can't resell it and get my money back. And the kicker? I'm now out of money. Their sizes are horribly inconsistent and because they don't have local retail stores I have to return online at MY COST. Which is total bullshit AND I have to insure it! Moral of the story: NEVER EVER AGAIN will I shop MOTHERHOOD MATERNITY. With Thyme Maternity (which I have NEVER been disappointed with) they include a return shipping label and THEY cover the cost IF I need to return. So sticking with Thyme Maternity and I advise you all do them same and please, spread the word. Motherhood Maternity - shame on you! Customer service wouldn't even let me speak with a supervisor!
