I've done a few classes here and really feel like I get a good workout. I'm a cardio junkie, I like running 10ks just for fun, and if something doesn't make me sweat, then it doesn't work. Usually I have a pretty negative impressions of yoga, the classes at the gym are just a bunch of lazy people stretching thinking they're getting a workout (to me that is). I came here once though and left absolutely wrecked. It was so hard, and tiring and I sweated so much you'd think I'd just gone swimming. I attended their regular class, and was required to hold certain positions, that caused my abs and thighs to go on fire. Then when you have to lift your arms for something, I could hardly hold them there! I was extremely surprised, I have been to other yoga classes before (all just a walk in the park...or should I say stretch), but after leaving La Vida Yoga I truly felt as though I got a good workout.
There is only 1 room and the door into the building can be hard to spot, the place is simple, there are no mirrors and I really just looks like an empty room (except for a few candles on the ground). The instructors are all very friendly and knowledgeable (they come and fix your pose if your doing it wrong).
If you're looking for yoga to get your heart rate up, definitely try this place out. read more
