I'm 50+ and exercise is not in my vocabulary, so am a large shape, but not in shape.
This is week 2 going 3 times a week and I am planning on continuing coming back ! I have never exercised before, never been to a gym, and don't even walk regularly. Have been hearing about pilates for years and wanted to try it out so when I saw this great deal for this new pilates studio, it was enough motivation to get me there for an orientation.
Lovely, clean, new studio, the sweetest and kindest instructors with the greatest bodies. And I could do the movements ! Most are on my back or on my side. I didn't work up a sweat, but certainly felt the burn.
Exercises are on screens around the room, so the girls can focus on you to make sure you are doing the movements correctly, and not hurting yourself. They also give me different exercises if the ones on the video are too advanced for me. Love the service and care !
So I've had 6 sessions and am getting better at some of the movements, so happy to keep coming back.
The workouts are 45 minutes, so very doable and the time seems to be going more and more quickly.
I'm moving better in general, and much easier to get up and down. I highly recommend this studio.
