I will start by saying that I'm Brazilian and I grew up eating brigadeiros. So, on Sunday I went to…read moreget a box to bring to a friend's lunch, and I was shocked with the price of the boxes/the sweets/the cakes. They are, oh, my gosh, so expensive!!!! But ok, whatever I was there and I needed to bring something to my friend's lunch. They did not have the options for smaller boxes, only with 6 brigadeiros. Which, if you know, these are tiny little truffle balls, and I wouldn't be able to bring 6 brigadeiros to my friend's house just randomly in a tiny box the size of the palm of my hand. The other options were the much bigger flimsy boxes. The girl working there suggested I took 2 boxes with 6 brigadero's each, which was also weird, still saying that there were no other boxes, only a super fancy one (fancy as in sturdy) with 16 brigadero's, I guess, or the bigger flimsy ones. So I asked if she could give me the empty outer box so that I could put the 2 smaller boxes inside the paper canister, and I don't think she could, and of course it's not the girl's fault, but if you're charging $4 per brigadero, and you have an empty store year round, maybe an idea is to try to keep the clients coming back. Then I thought, ok I'll get a cake. The tiny cake costs $60!!!!
Oh my gosh, what??
I left.
