This little park is a very convenient spot to bring any of your food purchases (i.e. German sandwiches from Mattern Sausage & Deli) and eat al fresco.
The main building in the park is a large covered structure where several dozen benches are set up to eat your food at your leisure.
There are restrooms and water fountains near the building at the street area. Enough trees to make feel like a little forest oasis, with nicely kept lawn, in the middle of the surrounding neighborhood. Very peaceful during lunch hours on weekdays.
* The Good: Accommodating little park that makes lunch hours enjoyable, specially with friends, a couple streets from busy Chapman avenue. No space at the Starbucks?; bring your lattes and friends over. Playgrounds for toddlers. Available (and clean) facilities. Plenty of street parking (way plenty).
* The Meh: Holidays, weekends, and family events: you can't squeeze a cat through sideways. Very (very) popular for large family gatherings, and the park is literally "little". The moment is claimed in the early hours, you are out of luck.
* The Bad: Nothing.
