When in town, and I'm visiting the other part of the family, William B will often be required to go to El Modena Park in Orange as a place to get together.
Generally, William B disdains public parks because of the myriad of children, fleas in the grass that jump on your hosen, and the type of people that flock to parks to celebrate whatever manufactured event Hallmark has conjured up this month.
Well, this Park does not fail in producing all of that, and more. In addition to the above, it has roving gangs of mariachi musicians, rancid public barbeque grills with last year's carne asade hanging from the grates, and there is always sure to be a pinata of Obama or some other third ranked celebrity hanging close by.
Further, and most importantly, William B does not recommend wearing Ferragamos or other fashionable shoewear to this park. There is more discarded dog crap here than in the sidewalks of Paris, and you are sure to get a shoe full as you try to avoid the legions of the aforementioned fleas.
Do not use the bathrooms. If you have to go, expect to see cameras and hear Morse Code foot taping from the adjacent stall. Finally, you'll want to bring your own TP as they only have a one ply product that's in short supply.
The park has above average parking. They have both a large lot, and there is street parking. For that reason I give it two stars.
With William B it's a guarantee. read more
