Great park with baseball field, basketball courts, large grass area, and tennis courts. We stumbled across this park after our original tennis courts were full. Luckily, both tennis courts were open on a Sunday morning and we got to enjoy playing! The courts were clean and from what I saw, the rest of the park seemed clean too, with lots of people playing around. read more

First impression is: wow, this park is huge! And clean! And pretty! It was the perfect fit to celebrate a baby girl's 1st birthday! Met up with family and friends for this get-together. The play area was a good size as it accommodated all the kids who came through to join the party. The surrounding green areas were free of trash or clutter. Ladies room was also exceptionally clean with plenty of toilet paper. (Hand dryers weren't working properly and there were no paper towels available, but no biggie.) And what made it even better is the perfect warm and sunny SoCal weather! We all had a great time. It was a good Sunday fun day at the park. read more

As I mentioned before, it is a very nice and safe park to excersize. The only one giant problem is that motor scooters are riding the bike on the walking path. Despite that, there are VERY SMALL SIGNS ard posted NO MOTOR BIKES etc. Maybe the City Council will approve more patrol on the path way. Or perhaps cameras? Cheap ones will do. In the past several months, I have seen only on Police patrol car, driving there. Otherwise, it is very safe, and there are always people around. As an older "gentleman for me," it is very important. A few years ago, I was attacked and kicking beating, laying on the ground. I was 64 years old. The cops could not get quickly because the gates were locked [How stupid lock the gates!]. I am talking about Hart Park. In the City of Orange. Ambulance finally came after about 20 some minutes. I could be dead. No safety concern there. --- Anyway, this park I have walked and keep on walking. So feel free to visit the park. Ps: FYI - New rule in California! You do not have to tiping in any diners or eatery. Steve Ambriz memorial park is on a beautiful Peaceful location with a lot of family activities available. Safety conscious playground, sports for kids and adults alike. The (Orange)city workers are always checking and keeping the restrooms stocked and clean, even on the weekend and holidays. Thank you. For the families and guests of the community that frequent the facilities on Saturdays. We need to improve our cleanliness etiquette. Please,, every time there's an event or a large family gathering. They leave it dirty, thrash on the floor on the sidewalk, on the streets, under the cars, and worst of all the restrooms tagged with graffiti. C'mon! have some self respect and dignity to clean up after yourself. Councilman Steve Ambriz was a great man for the community. Now, 18 years later we have some of you thrashing his place. read more

This park is really nice and there is a small and short trail around the park for a quick stroll. There is a clean playground for children to pay. They even have a big baseball field where local teams host their games. There are basketball courts for all the people that like to ball. As a plus, there is now a free Little Library where people leave books for other reader. The idea of this free library is to leave a book and take a book. Such a cool concept. Love this park! It's worth the 15 min drive from Anaheim . I love how clean this park is. They have an amazing play area with 3 sections . My 3 boys all love this park . The floor is perfect for falls and won't leave ur kids dirty like sand or wood chips would . We come here as often as we can and we stay like 2 hrs every time . We checked out this park today. It was a hot spring day so it was nice that there were shade sails on some of the playground structures. It's a newer park so the playground equipment is still in good shape. There are 3 separate playground play structures. In addition to the playgrounds, there are basketball courts and baseball fields. Love playing here. One it's clean and maintained. Always a competitive but friendly environment. I would almost consider this a hidden gem for softball fields. I love that the fences are high so parking right in front of the field isn't a problem. Bathrooms are clean too! read more

This is the only one I have found with a shaded playground. Sunny hot days are common around here and we need that shade. There are 3 different play structures here, one for really little kids, one traditional looking structure for medium kids, and one modern looking structure with rope webs and suspended hoops. Everything is on soft turf. I am very impressed with this park. There's also a rentable activity room and plumbed bathrooms. Parking is readily available. The industrial zone that surrounds the park makes for an interesting back drop. Overall, a fabulous park in the City of Orange. Only bad part is that the park is located next to a pile of dirt. Lots of noise from the dirt company next door. read more

The park itself is nice but it's near a business that has HUGE dirt mounds. My child has asthma so we ended up not getting out and going to another park. The park is a little hard to find since it's behind a wall and storage facility. read more

I happened to find this park by chance and am so happy! There are three separate jungle gyms all for different ages and two swing sets. I love the recycled rubber ground and the very large grass fields. It's kind of tucked away in a small residential area so it's very clean and doesn't seem to get too crowded. They also have tables and an inside clubhouse type area you can reserve. read more

The park is a fairly large park. It's always busy. As people have mentioned its a clean park. 1) It has about 2 baseball fields. 2) It has one basketball court 3) It has 2 lighted tennis courts (always busy) 4) It has a playground with 3 different playground sets for different ages. With rubber floors. There are no wood chips or sand to deal with. 5) There is a clubhouse which you can rent which houses about 70 people. We've used it for a birthday party (no refridgerator). Why didn't I rate it at 5 stars? I knocked off one star because off the Rock Refinery right next door to it. The other star I knocked off is because it's so busy all the time. This area also has alot of bugs in the evening during bug season. read more

Great newly created park in the Riverbend community. I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness of the park. There are three distinct yet close proximity play areas with two sets of swings. I like that there are shades to cover each play area. I've been here during the mid-afternoon and at night and during mid-afternoon there is a vey distinct "coal"smell that was too unbearable that after 30 minutes I had to leave. At night there is no smell probably because the coal factory next to the park is not running although I did smell some residual coal even around 6pm. One good thing about the park is that there is plenty of parking in the parking lot and street and the park is lit up until 11pm(?) I think. Overall and very close and clean park near Anaheim that is by far the cleanest that I've found. read more

It's a new park in a new housing development. They have nice, new padding (no sand or wood chips), the equipment is new, and there are open public restrooms. HOWEVER, WARNING to parents with kids under 4. There is a moveable bridge (like we see at other parks) that has HUGE gaps between the railings and the bottom walking part of the bridge. We have a VERY active 2 1/2 year old boy who was playing with the other kids, got bumped and fell right through the bottom part of the bridge and 3 feet to the bottom. I'm a lawyer, this is totally unsafe (and no warning sign: so...also illegal). Anyway, kids are kids, but be careful of this bridge when the kids are playing. Otherwise, nice place with lots of shade and equipment. read more

This review is based on the recreation room at Steve Ambriz Park, as I came here for a friend's son birthday. Pretty basic recreation room, nothing too fancy about it. Definitely built recently and is very clean as is the rest of the park. The room (which my friend rented out) comfortably held about 30-35 people with tables, etc. There's a small kitchen with a sink for washing plates and keeping the food area of the room. If I lived in the area and was looking for a recreation room to rent out, would I? Yes. As for the park itself, a couple nice dirt baseball fields and soccer field (I believe). This park is tucked away in the residential area in the middle of a housing community-type place. Parking lot is kind of small but there is plenty of street parking available for overflow. read more

What a beautiful park - a hidden gem! We took the grandkids (two girls, 4 & 7) a few weeks back and they loved it! There are 3 big sets of climbing equipment that are different from what you typically find at parks. It also appeared to be even safer for the little ones. The playground is covered in a squishy foam type surface so no worries about splinters from wood chips or even having to dump sand out of shoes. Everything was very clean including the bathrooms. The only problem we noticed was that they must have had some over watering sprinkler issues on the baseball fields because there were areas that were very soggy and muddy. read more

Just rating the place for a baby. LIke it that there are 3 different jungle gyms and that they're covered. I think you'll have to be 2 or 3 years old to really enjoy the jungle gym. I'll be sure to visit it again when the kids are older. read more

I love this sports park for its shaded playground area, padded ground & obstacle area for the older kids. There aren't that many benches closer to the playground but they are next to the recreational room which can also be rented through the city. That room gets booked like 4 months in advance as it has AC & is pretty big. The restroom is clean and very close by. Overall it's a pretty well rounded park to bring the kids for play, sports or rent for birthday parties. read more

My kids all time favorite park. I book all their parties and all my event here. The park is very clean. They have a recreation you can reserve but they do get book really fast. Most of my event I have to book it two months in advance. read more

This is a super cute playground. It has 3 set ups for kids that are aged accordingly. There is plenty of street parking. They also have bathrooms and the floor is nice and soft. They have swings for babies or regular swings as well. Behind the park is the Santa Ana River trail. My friend and I took a walk there with our strollers. There is the occasion bike rider but it's pretty empty. I did see a security truck drive by once which was a nice feeling. There are suppose to be a lot of homeless encampments but we turned around at a certain point and didn't run into any. I would definitely come here again. read more

We go here frequently and always meet new friends on the playground. It's a great park because it's pretty new, and as my kids call it, it's a "squishy ground park", so no wood chips to be bothered by! Granted, you can see stains on the ground already, but that's no big deal. Restrooms have SOAP! There is a big kids play structure and a little kids play structure, two sets of swings (one set is baby swings), and an added bonus is the entertainment for little guys as the large trucks haul dirt and rocks up and down giant dirt hills. Regarding the supposed smell: yes, at times the wind brings in a smell from the factory. It's not a bad smell, more like burning rubber sort of. It gets stronger as you approach the factory. But, playing on the equipment, we are never bothered by the smell! Maybe if you're playing on the softball fields closest to the factory you'll smell it. There are also open tennis courts here. Be aware of the rules for open play (be courteous of people waiting!) There's also a large walking trail around the sports complex, with an entrance to the Santa Ana river trail. All in all, a very convenient park for a mom with kids who span the ages. Something for everyone. You can bring bikes and balls here and let the kids kick the ball in the outfield of a giant softball field (unless someone's flying a drone or remote control plane- which is fun to watch!) read more

Best fields I have played softball on in a long time. They actually take care of the fields and make playing here more enjoyable. They also have a playground for kids and table area to eat after a great game of softball. Just recommend getting there early if you play late because parking getting hard to deal with. Great park in a nice neighborhood; ample street and lot parking. I used to come here to run the SA River Trail because they have easy access behind the outfields of the softball area. When they solve the homeless issue back there I'll definitely be back to run. read more

This is an excellent park for small children (2-12). There are 3 different equipment structures for the kids to play on which are designed based on recommended age groups, plus a couple sets of swings. They also have a canopy that provides shade over most of the equipment and picnic tables which can be reserved if you're having a party. read more

Great little gem of a park that's tucked away in a newer development. Playground area is big with a variety of stuff to play on. Love the spider web-circles to climb through, it's different and sets this park apart. Clean place and has bathrooms. Only downside, not much shade. read more
