Excellent meal, amazing presentation, and after a rough start by not being acknowledged at all for several minutes after entering, very personable service. The upstairs Sergi Arola Gastro is apparently closed until April 2015 so when we offered a table at his more casual downstairs SOT, we decided to give it a try. A very comfortable, well designed and appointed space with about 12 tables and one semi private 8 person area as well, the menu is all about sharing. My wife speaks absolutely no Spanish and mine is limited, but the friendly wait staff helped us through. We had the foie gras, the spicy pickle salad, the octopus sandwiches, the spicy potatoes, the burgers, and the pork belly in chocolate sauce. All dishes were very tasty with subtle flavors. The full bodied rosé went very well too. Even the 60s / 70s rock and roll played in the background gave this place an excellent vibe. And to cap it all off, chef/owner Sergi was on hand, apron on and sleeves rolled up, helping his staff clear and asking how we enjoyed our experience. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Just need to hire a hostess and it would be my perfect dinning spot :) read more
