Avoid at all costs. Untrained staff, poor facility with a "hostage" mentality.

They will not issue a pro-rated refund stating they have a contract. The contract they are referring to was signed by my mentally ill, drug addicted son in December. He fled the facility in early January and then was re-admitted with no new contract signed. I paid by Zelle as is their policy and expressed my concern that he would not last at the facility. I was assured by staff that they never give up on residents and not to be concerned.  I requested a pro-rated refund and following protracted text exchanges was offered an amount of $500 and then $750. This meant that I would pay over $2000 for less than 6 days of care. I actually agreed to take their $750 offer but they cut off all communication. There are some dedicated staff members at Graceland but the owner seems arrogant and combative. My son is very challenging and I do not question their decision to eject him. This does not alter the fact that they did not remunerate me reasonably and committed what I consider at minimum highly questionable financial practices if not fraud. I have filed a complaint and am exploring litigation options but want to warn others to be very careful before placing your loved one at Graceland Sober Living.

On other hand the front office, Maria and whoever else is up there is horrible. I have made request for my prescription to be filled but NO ONE is returning my calls or the pharmacies. It has been roughly 2 months without one of my meds, I have made a payment on my account which they claimed if I did my appt would be made and my script refill request would be called in. BUT APPARENTLY the front office does not really understand mental health. I doubt it was good for me to get off my med cold turkey but that is what has happened and due to covid I am on a waiting list for a new doctor. SO if you truly want good help, I would walk away from this office and not suggest it to anyone.. ***PS they never send you a bill in the mail, apparently you are suppose to read their minds AND they bill for 45 minute visits when it was a 2 min telehealth. Billing person needs a class in proper coding. I have already filed this info with my insurance and the claims are being reviewed***

However, Dr. Hazany demonstrates his great skill, wonderful bedside manner and intelligent use of interventions for very good outcomes. Of course many patients, don't always like to hear the steps they need to take to get better. But that's the challenge in this area of medicine. A lot of healing depends on patient responsibility. Oftentimes lifestyle modifications, and behavioral therapy must be sought in addition to pharmaceuticals. For most patients, there is no easy fix. But with Dr. Hazany's experience and expertise, you are on the road to healing....if you can implement the needed steps.

OakView skilled nursing facility is a top-notch location for acute rehab. From the moment you drive…read moreup to the facility, walk into the building and go to your assigned room, you can see the building is very well taken care of and nicely decorated. This is important as it shows their attention to detail. In the room, there is a lovely armoire for every patient to use for their belongings along with a nightstand, hospital bed and tray. The armoire is much nicer and larger than the usual small closet you find in most facilities. The true star of the facility are the employees. The CNA's are always quick to respond and provide you with the service you need. The LVN's who dispense the medication are equally quick to help and all of them have kind words along with words of encouragement for each patient. Unfortunately, I have been in numerous facilities and non of them compare. OakView is fine tuned and runs very smoothly. Administrative staff checks on the patients frequently to make sure all needs are met. Treatment plans are prepared by medical staff. And the social worker is very kind and extremely helpful in taking care of the patient while on the premises but also after they leave OakView. She even called me two days after my release from OakView to check on me and to see if there was any additional needs I had. I was extremely impressed by this as I had never had this happen before. Never was there a social worker that did a third of the work this woman did let alone follow through and show she cared every step of the way. OakView feels like a resort with medical assistance, not a skilled nursing facility. The food is excellent and if it's not to your liking, the chef is willing to prepare something that meets your desires. No other facility I know of does that. If and when I need to be in a skilled nursing facility again, I hope I am blessed to be able to find a room at OakView. I highly recommend it. P.S. They also have an assisted living facility.

Across the parking lot, they have an assisted-living and a skilled nursing. I think through the time that my parents lived there. They probably had all three facilities well utilized. My dad died at Oakview in 2009 and we were treated with the utmost respect and there are some special messages that were said to me on that very sad day that I will treasure in my heart forever. My mom had to make the move from her studio living and had to go straight to skilled nursing because there's certain things they can't take in assisted-living. I just want to mention that my mom is so well cared for and the staff is so delightful and there's no way I'm gonna remember everybody's name but I want to wish a happy new year and a huge thank you too. -Lisa, Kathy, Oliver, Daisy, Carol, Hilda, Shelby, Lindsey (both), Maria, Amor, Dessa, Breanna, Emily, Jocelyn, Armando, Mahan, Sarah (both), Arianna, know I'm forgetting major names that I see all the time and I apologize.
