HIDDEN MEXICAN BAKERY! Panadería La Reina is a small Mexican bakery in the heart of Harvard…read moreDistrict in Hemet. It's a hole-in-the-wall, so if you drive too fast you'll miss it. It's been a favorite of locals in the valley for many years now. This is my first time back in YEARS and the cookies are STILL top-tier. There's something about having a Mexican chocolate chip cookie in the cold that just feels so right. I visited with a group and was met by a friendly, yet astonished lady who seemed to have never seen so many people in her shop before. My main targets (chocolate chip, sprinkle cookies) were available, however I noticed some of the pastry racks were missing quite a few items. My group was looking for conchas, however only one selection was available. We had to wait a bit for the staff to make some more. The conchas taste good, but I've tasted better in years past. Don't get me wrong, I'm always looking for a chocolate concha fix, it just wasn't warm enough. I wanted a hot drink with it but unfortunately I don't think they sell Mexican hot cocoa here. I spotted a small fridge with refreshments like Jarrito's and other popular Mexican cold drinks. The store is older, but well-maintained. I think it needs an update aesthetically, but overall it was very clean. As for seating, I couldn't find tables inside nor outside (except one, without chairs). La Reina is very much a grab-n-go bakery.

The best pan ever! Would definitely recommend.. the prices are amazing the conchas are my fav also…read morethe bolios w the crema 10/10

We went to Polly pies in Hemet with friends and family recently. And the only way that we would go…read moreback is if we went with our family again this is not somewhere we would wanna go on our own. Eve waitresses name was Tilly and she was outstanding. And most of the time you cannot blame the waitress for the food quality. I ordered the prime rib dinner and the prime rib was cold when delivered I ordered a medium well and it was well done and it was cold. The dinner rolls came out ahead of time and I was told that the way that they came very doughy was typical and I should've ordered the cornbread so next time if we happen to go with Family, I will order the cornbread. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box. The gravy was good, but asked for extra gravy because the potatoes are very dry. The green beans tasted like they were from a can like. I said it was not the best the waitress again Tilly made it extremely nice. She kept my drink full my wife's drink full. My wife ordered the Asian chicken salad and she said that it was outstanding. The ambience is a typical pie restaurant type place to sit and eat. I gave it a four because of the waitress and her taking care of us all so well she put up with the other people that were there with us and they were a handful for her.

Value's not quite there, portion sizes are a little small for the price. Went with a sandwich this…read moreround and it tasted like a sandwich so it was OK I guess. Fries always need help make sure to pour salt and pepper on them. Place definitely serves a particular clientele over 60. Hope they realize they need to adjust to attract a younger audience and not service the people that want to play bingo while they're eating. Staff is alright, place is clean. Seating is quick as it's not that busy. Pricing $13 minimum per person w/out drink
