Great food and coffee. Great breakfast with home made bread. Don't miss the tortilla.

We wanted something other than Mexican food, so when we realized there was a tapas/paella place in…read moreTulum, we decided to come for dinner. We stopped by on a Tuesday evening around 7:30 and it was hopping. The restaurant is two levels and has indoor and outdoor seating both. We were seated outside next to the street. We started off the meal with complimentary bread, which was amazing as we were starving from a long bike ride earlier. The menu has a good selection of tapas as well as a couple different types of paella. For the paella, the minimum size they can make is for two people. We tried: Tortilla de patatas (110 pesos) - we enjoyed this Chistorra i.e. grilled Spanish sausage (95 pesos) - too salty, had to eat it with the croquetas to make it more palatable Croquetas de setas (95 pesos) - was okay but had a weird / slightly sweet aftertaste I didn't like Paella de montana (230 pesos pp) - chicken paella was good. I wish there was slightly less chicken and more rice I'd say the paella was the best part of the meal. The tapas were a bit hit or miss. But overall it's a cute restaurant with decent food, and we enjoyed our experience here.

The kitchen is open so you can peer in to see your food cooking. We ordered the seafood paella which takes about 40 mins to cook at about 250 pp and you can only order this with a minimum of 2 people. So I would suggest to order first and the other stuff can be ordered later. Seafood paella was subpar because the rice was burnt, not charred. but considering we were in Mexico - it was a nice taste. We loved the pulpo appetizer though - it was soft and had some great flavors. The people are genuine and they don't attempt to scam you. So we were happy about that!

First of all, the food was absolutely outstanding! We had the hummus stuffed mushrooms to start,…read moreand I had vegan fajitas while the hubs had The Sloppy Chipotle. Every bite was better than the last and the portions were generous. The iced Irish coffees were the icing on the cake; I'd never had an iced Irish coffee but I think I'm spoiled now. However, what really sets Mora Mora apart is the vibe, the atmosphere. We were only planning on having dinner then heading out to the club, but we enjoyed it all so much we ordered another coffee and just chilled for an hour more. The restaurant is set in the middle courtyard of an old Spanish type villa, but there is thought provoking graffiti everywhere, and even the menu has political poetry and statements throughout. It all certainly made for some good conversation starters; in fact the menu was so well done with literature, I asked if I could take one home and was enthusiastically told yes. Over our two-ish hours there, two different live bands played a few songs and a female doo-wop group beautifully harmonized their hearts out to lively applause. After the bands left the stage, they played a Spotify station of ChillStep music that I eventually had to ask them for, as each song was so perfect for a laid back meal and conversation. At no point was the music ever overpowering but it certainly held the attention. Mora Mora is a fantastic place to go with friends or a laid back dinner date. It takes a few minutes to find and you have to make a reservation, as it has a very 1920's speakeasy vibe. I wouldn't be surprised if the younger crowd held political meetings there. I don't speak much Spanish, but the entire experience was so outstanding, I had to use Google translate to let the Mami at the door know just how pleased we were with the entire evening spent there. 10/10 will go back.

It's a beautiful restaurant situated at the beach club that is only open to grand luxe members. We had a beautiful table situated right at a set of open doors that looked out onto the beach and outside seating area. The one bad thing was the bugs!! They were chowing down at our legs even after we applied bug spray! We got the seafood paella for two- very yummy. The octopus was by far the best octopus I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection! The clams and mussels were so small- not meaty at all and that was upsetting. The rice was done wonderfully. However, i could have lived without the artichokes. Two other people in my party shared two dishes- the Brie and filet mignon on sliced bread and a ham dish on sliced bread. The Brie and filet was AMAZING. So delicious and perfectly cooked. The calamari was delicious with the aioli sauce. The fresh bread was great and served warm. The potatoes were great and very good size wedges. Overall it was a great meal and the service was awesome. Our waiter was pleasant, polite, accommodating and his English was superb.
