We were seated and just sorta sat there until the waiter came to talk to us with his limited English. He asked if we wanted the antipasto. We asked what was in it. "Fish and meat," he replied. So we said yes. This is what we actually said yes to: - Octopus salad - Prosciutto and mozzarella - Little neck clams in a sauce - Some kinda flower stuffed with ricotta and deep fried - Bruschetta - Fried anchovies - Fried zucchini sticks, I think - Anchovies in olive oil - Assortment of fried carbs - potatoes balls, rice balls, chewy flour balls - Scallop something - Octopus in tomato soup - Bean and sausage soup - Bread Everything was delicious and we were so stuffed that it hurt. Seemed like all the locals around us had gotten the exact same order of antipasto - be it another group of 2 or a family table of 10, we all had the same plates coming out. Our total bill for 2 was 25 Euros. Service charge of 1.5 Euros each. Antipasto 10 Euros each. Water 2 Euros. They take credit cards.

The pizza is fantastic, the mozzarella, the cheese all blend in a perfect soupy texture that enhanced all the flavors on a crust that completes this dish. The pasta is cooked more Al dente than soft. For those turned off by Al Dente, don't be. Try it here, because their execution beats five star restaurants in Manhattan, NYC where Im paying 3x if not 4x times the price. The complimentary and fair priced still water is a great addition as well. One highlight item I'd like to add is the meatballs as an appetizer. Best meatballs hands down... Yes they beat grandma's. I love umbertos, it caters to Americans /English yet it doesn't exploit them with high prices and lower quality food. Out of every restaurant tried in our ten day tour of Italy... Umbertos wins.

All of the seating is outside at cheap chairs and tables with umbrellas. I tried the grilled salmon and grilled eggplant with the house red wine. I thought the wine was decent but not one that I would choose again. The salmon and eggplant were both perfectly cooked with excellent flavor. Overall, I would recommend the food at Trattoria La Campagnola.

My friends liked this the best Flore di zucca ripieno - zucchini flower stuffed with cheese and prosciutto I think. Very creamy Mozzarella in carrozza - after the flore di zucca it was a little bland but still tasty. Deep fried cheese! Spaghetti allo scarpariello - 2nd best dish of the night for me. A tomato based sauce with several Italian cheeses. Very tasty. Parmigiana di melanzane - freaking amazing! It was so delicious and has such a meaty flavor. We're coming back for this! Pasta patate e provola - tasty pasta that was very creamy. First time having potatoes in pasta. The service was great too. We're actually going back for tonight's dinner because it was so good!

We were a party of four, and everyone enjoyed their meal. We ordered the fresh bruschetta and fried calamari to share. One person ordered a steak, another had the shrimp scampi, another the lemon chicken, and another chose the grilled shrimp. They also had a great beer and wine selection. We all finished with gelato for dessert. The service was very friendly and attentive. The bill came to 200 euros. I know people say you do not tip in Italy, but I still do. I left 50 euros because three servers attended our table.

It was fairly busy and we waited probably 10 minutes to be seated. Our server was very friendly and hustling all night. She took our orders for wine and dinner, and she was very apologetic when it took our food probably 30 minutes to come out. Either the kitchen was backed up, our order was delivered to the wrong table, or they forgot our order, but we waited a while. The food was pretty good but expensive for what you got, the pasta didn't taste super fresh compared to other places we visited in Naples. Overall, I think I'd come back for lunch or an early dinner to avoid the business of the evening and try some other plates.

Ate here for dinner 2 nights in a row. Such a delicious place! You can tell it's a popular spot among locals. The tables are nearly always full yet they're super welcoming and seat you quickly once the table has cleared. Great gluten free crust, (yet the non GF husband said his was also the best ever had), highly recommend.

A single margherita pizza is only 6 euros, which is about $7.20. A liter of wine here is also only 8 euro, which is about $9.60. I don't think you could find anywhere else in Naples with pizzas and wine as cheap as this place. The margherita pizza here is simple, as it should be. The crust is cooked to perfection. I personally like fluffy crust and this place delivered it well. The amount of tomato sauce versus the amount of cheese was also perfectly balanced. The fresh basil leaves also leave a slight kick in the aftertaste. I don't know how I can ever go back to eating Pizza Hut in the US. Be sure to finish off your meal with a tiramisù! You won't regret it :)
