This was one of the most disappointing and infuriating restaurant experiences I have ever had. From the outside it looks cozy, charming, and quaint. We saw positive reviews on trip advisor and were convinced to try it.
We were surprised that the menu was so limiting, but we figured that was part of the charm and that they would make more specialty dishes. Out of the 6 pasta dishes, the waiter came over and told us two were unavailable. I asked if I could get a pasta dish without the mushrooms and the waiter said no, so I began to wonder if the pasta dishes were pre-made.
Well, I was right. We can see the "kitchen" which is really a tiny corner with microwaves from the dining room, and we watched the waiter put pre-cooked pasta into the microwave. Five minutes later, he served us all our soggy, half cooked pasta. The ends of the pasta strands were raw, while the middle were completely soggy. I have never in my LIFE tasted pasta cooked so poorly, and have never seen my meal MICROWAVED in a restaurant. This pasta was expensive
Further, when the waiter asked if we wanted drinks we said no unless we could get tap water for free. He said we could, but then later charged us each per glass. While some restaurants do charge for water, we ASKED for tap water and he went back on his word, we felt completely ripped off and taken advantage of. We were clearly tourists unable to speak Danish, and maybe that is why the waiter and the manager thought they could take advantage of us.
This was the biggest WASTE of money in a restaurant that ripped us off by MICROWAVING our "fresh" pasta meal. read more
