I'm really surprised at all of the low reviews for this place. I went to Tasca for dinner on a busy Friday night and had a great time. If you have never had tapas before, they're small plates. You don't get huge portions. That is exactly what tapas are supposed to be. Prices were reasonable, and actually larger portions than what I was used to after going to tapas restaurants in Chicago. Drinks were flavorful- they have a ton of sangria and cocktail options. Food was also very tasty as well. I will definitely be back!

I have been here many times over the years. It's one of the best tapas restaurants in the Chicago suburbs, but they lost a star tonight because they've added a "non-cash" fee to the dinner bill. We had a table of six, got many dishes and they tacked on $6.50. I understand restaurant business is tough, but we are post pandemic and they've been a successful business for many years. Incurring the credit card fees as part of your business operations is standard. Every business has increased their prices and tacking this on is truly not appropriate. Especially without warning the customer. We spoke up and they removed it, but how many just pay it? Such a shame to end a delightful dinner on a sour note.

Being from Spain I was excited to order la Tasca for delivery so I could give it a try before ordering their catering for an event. This is by far the worst "spanish food" restaurant I have tried in the Chicago Area. We ordered: -Tortilla de patatas -Padron Flatbread -Meat Paella -Patatas Bravas -Croquettes -Jamon y queso plate (see picture, 3 pieces of cheap cheese and ham for $13, what an insult) We had to toss most of the food after a couple of bites. It hurts speaking bad about a restaurant from my home country, but I wouldn't want anyone to think for a second this is the food we serve in Spain.

Delicious food, expansive menu, the drinks were great. Love the outside area and the inside looked cute as well. Service was excellent. The staff made sure we had everything we needed. The portion for the paella was large. It tasted great and was a good price! We will definitely be back soon.

We were invited to a surprise birthday party for 43 people so it was our first time coming here. We had great service by our waiters and waitress even though there was one waiter that would roll his eyes whenever we asked for another serving of what was supposed to be an all you can eat at $75 per person for our party. This included a $27 fee per person for soft drinks or liquor. This was a little steep considering there were plenty of kids in our party and some were babies that didn't drink anything. The food was good. We had a variety of 8 tapas that we could choose from but they saved the best for last and frowned when asked to bring the shrimp or beef tapas. I honestly don't believe that any one person enjoyed more than 2-3 drinks including soft drinks. Overall we had a great time and I would probably come again if in this area. I recommend trying it out at least once. The potato tapas were very good, the beef and shrimp were great, the empanadas were good. The ambiance is casual but most of our party dressed up. The desserts were wonderful too. The ice cream is made in house. The flan was perfect.

Visited during covid on a Sunday afternoon for the first time. I made reservations also just in case but not needed. We sat inside and they are definitely observing social distancing in such a great and safe manner. I felt really good about being inside even on a nice day outside. They have lots of outdoor seating due to the Arlington alfresco initiative. Parking is always difficult in downtown Arlington Heights and even more so now with them closing streets for Arlington alfresco. Luckily we found a spot near the restaurant for free. We ordered quite a bit of dishes as it was our first time and we wanted to try everything that I would normally eat at any other tapas restaurant. Everything came out with great timing freshly cooked fair portions no hunting of the meat or the seafood. However I will say that the dishes were average but not necessarily outstanding. Flavors are good but not memorable. Service was decent but not friendly and amazing. Considering that they were not busy I would have expected a little bit better service. This place is an establishment for AH and I can see why. I am sure it is very consistent and reliable and the food is acceptable considering it is in the suburbs. But if I ever have enough patience I will go where I normally go in the city.

So we came here on a random Friday night to test our luck to get a table at 7 o'clock for two people. We got lucky and got to sit inside because that's where we wanted to sit although they do have sidewalk or outdoor seating as well. I thought sitting inside would be cooler, but I was wrong as all the doors and windows were open and I don't believe the AC was on at all. Well, the menu is pretty extensive. I will say that a vegetarian could definitely eat here as well as anyone else. This is our first visit here and as you can tell from the photos ordered quite a bit of food. And typical top of style the portions are pretty small, but they are meant to be shared. It was actually too much food for two people who were already hungry. Some of the standouts were definitely the meatballs and the salad salads. The jamon iberico was absolutely incredible. Not pictured was the picture of sangria we ordered. We got the rosé and to be quite honest with all of the heat. It actually watered down way too quickly. And it also came in a plastic picture, which was a bit of a turn off. The shrimp with garlic was good, but the garlic was hard to taste because it was also covered or doused in a lot of tomato base or tomato sauce. I was really looking forward to a very clear buttery or olive oil sauce that was saturated with garlic. The mushrooms were OK as well, but again too much tomato in this dish that I'm not used to. The potatoes were also very tasty and well seasoned, and the sauce on it was just right. I think this is a good option for people who want top us in the suburbs however, I will say that I hope they do some tweaking to the recipes as well so that they have something that truly makes them stand out and unique.

On this particular Saturday, it took a while to get service, but we enjoyed our drinks - I loved my spicy roasted pineapple margarita - and complementary delicious chips and salsa. We also got the ceviche for the table - this was an interesting take on ceviche in a red cocktail sauce in a martini glass. It was tasty and refreshing to start. I also got the azteca salad with salmon as my entree - the salad portion was big, but the salmon was small and overcooked a bit. My fiance's combination fajitas of steak and shrimp were delicious though with lots of veggies and toppings.

I decided to make 7 pm reservations for our favorite Argentinian Restaurant! It was easy and painless to make. A quick call. Driving to the restaurant, I was expecting it to be jam packed as the restaurant eating area is small and cozy. As we pulled into the parking lot, my hunch was confirmed. The parking lot was full and we can see people outside. We arrived a couple minutes before 7 and when I walked in, I had to work my way through people waiting to be seated. The staff was non stop busy and was in and out of the kitchen. Based on how packed it was, I knew it reservations would not be on time but for how long? I checked in and the staff member told me that a 4 top was just finishing, and it is ours as soon as they are done paying - 15 -20 minutes at the most is what he estimated. 15 minutes later, we were seated. I was happy considering how busy they were and the communication was great. We received heart shaped bread and water immediately and that was nice. They usually have breadsticks so I loved the touch of the shaped bread. The staff took a little while to get our food order, my guess was it was to pace the kitchen and the wait staff. It was ok cause we had great company at the table. We got our order in and the server was great and apologized for the wait and we totally understood. My wife and I shared a meal. Two empanadas and their cheese lasagna. My friend got calamari to share and ribeye steak. His wife got the pasta with shrimp. The appetizers came out in a timely matter, hot and fresh. The empanadas are homemade (spinach cheese and capreses). The crust is the make it break for empanadas and it was good as usual. The main course meals came out and they already split our meal which was unexpected and great service. The steak looked scrumptious and the pasta looked well dressed. As for as our lasagna, the amount of sauce was well balanced, the flavor of the tomato cream sauce had a nice tang to it, it was not loose or too thick. The pasta was tender and the parm, ricotta, and mozzarella was cheese had the right amount of each and topped with shaved parm. I loved it and would get it again. I'm a pescatarian but when I saw my friend's ribeye, I just had to try a slice. And did I make the right choice. The meat was tender and was cooked to the right temp. The chimichurri was delicious and pairs well the steak. What's Valentine's Day without sweets! We ordered Tiramisu and Flan Con Dulce De Leche to share and they were solid choices. Both were good and very tasty. The sizes were perfect to share although I would have made room to eat both of hem to myself. The overall experience was great considering how busy it was. The staff were exceptionally friendly and kept that excitement of serving the customers knowing how busy the restaurant was. I highly recommend this place do far, the friends were have dined here with has come back multiple times. They would send my text messages with pics of them dining. I always respond, "did I miss the invite?"

The lamb ragu hummus and short rib were good but we found the actual protein was a bit dry and flavor subdue compared to their accompaniments. This time around, we decided to head down there for dinner with our 7:15pm reservations. First off, it was super busy but we were promptly and warmly greeted by Ms. Ava who told us that they were clearing some tables for us. The interior decor remained absolutely stunning and I love the sounds of hustle and bustle alongside ambient lighting. When we got seated, our waiter, Taha, introduced himself and immediately put in my request for two Strawberry Rose Palomas, Lemonade, Moroccan Onion Dip in addition to the Hot Honey Holumi. Taha was kind and our drinks and small plates and hot mezze were delivered at the speed of light. I also want to note that we were constantly being checked up on, our empty drinks were filled up again, empty plates were taken away without us having to say anything. This alone deserved a gold star from me!! But I digress. The Strawberry Rose Palomas were strong but sweet at the same time. They weren't so watered down and were light and refreshing. My mom loved her lemonade although the caveat here would be to be a little lighter on the ice. Mmm.....the Moroccan Onion Dip was fantastic per usual. Tangy, succulent, all the same. The pita bread was so good as well. It was fresh and warm and we couldn't get enough. The Hot Honey Holumi was alright but I wasn't big of a fan. Besides the topping, it didn't really taste of anything and I think I could have done without it. When it came to the main meals, my dad and i ordered the grilled chicken kabob plate and my mom got the grilled branzino. When we received our food, my dad could not stop raving about how good the chicken kabob was. The rice was plentiful and the chicken was juicy, well portioned and big. Seeing as though I'm definitely a spicy girl, I ordered some extra harissa and it was delicious. Spicy and added a great kick to the chicken kabob plate. To continue on this savory journey, my mom absolutely loved her grilled branzino. It was so flaky and flavorful. It had been deboned and with the additional squeeze of lemon, it was absolutely delicious. It made my heart huge to see how satisfied my parents were with their meals. I, of course, loved my grilled chicken kabob. The chicken was cooked well with it being juicy, succulent and tender. It paired well with the rice which again was plentiful. The harissa was the perfect compliment. **Chef's Kiss** We finished the night off with the warm sticky date cake which was not too sweet but sweet enough. It was soft and gooey all at the same time. It paired nicely with the whipped cream on the side. I, as well as my parents, enjoyed it. With my overall experience this time around compared to my previous one was night and day. Honestly, the customer service this time around was light years different from my first experience which was not great and very unfortunate. Because of tonight, I could tell right away that this was an establishment who actually cared about the dining experience of its patrons. To me, a place could have the best food in the world but if the customer service lacks, your whole dining experience is lost. Although my initial experience here was not the best, this experience showed me that errors can be rectified and experiences can be turned around. Our overall experience tonight was great and I will definitely be back, bringing along others with me. The price here is pretty up there but like I always say; you get what you pay for and this experience is definitely A1 and well worth it. Shoutout to Jordan, Taha, Ava and the rest of the crew! Thanks for turning our dining experience around and we hope to see yaall again soon! Highly recommend coming here if you're into a modern, classy and high end dining experience with a fun little Mediterranean flair!
