I started with the Hugo Spritz which was just incredible. It was balanced, refreshing, and I genuinely could've had 7 of them. As for food, we got some classics like the French Onion Soup, Snails, Oysters, and Cheese. Nothing we had blew me away but they were good tries. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance with the classic Parisian decor but our waiter wasn't the most warm & hospitable. If you're looking to try some French dishes, this is a decent spot!

I love those and it was obvious that Bululú's Venezuelan arepas are different: dry buns sliced open with food slipped inside. I ordered two arepas: one Carupanera and one Reina Pepiada. My absolute favorite was the Carupanera with sausage, plantain, red pickled onion and avocado. Each ingredient complemented the others so well and it was all fresh and filling. The Reina Pepiada's avocado cream and chicken was delicious too but a little too gooey for my taste. And to be honest you'd really have to be starving to devour two of their arepas. The 9 euro lunch menu with one arepa, one soup and a drink is a great deal. Speaking of drinks the Papelón con limón (raw hardened sugar cane juice, water, and lime served on ice) is so good I might just walk back to get another one right now. I'm so proud a great little place like this exists in my own backyard.

The ambience was good with Spanish music playing on the background. I ordered a typical Colombian dish Sobre barriga. I must say that it was good. The texture was almost perfect. The only down side was the Yuca (Cassava). It was too hard and must be soft. The other is that there were no beans to accompany the dish. While this of course is not required as we are not in South America I would recommend it as a side dish. The rice, salad, avocado and plantain were just perfect with the food. Other than that it was a good meal....if you ever in the area give them a try.
