This place was delicious & authentic. I passed up so many tapas places because I could tell they were all tourist traps but Thai place was definitely not one of those places! I was walking back from park Güell & a guy that was taking his trash saw me scoping the place out & insisted that I go in & eat. He said the food was amazing & only the ppl in the neighborhood knew about it. It looked clean & I liked that it was a hole in the wall (my favorite sort of place). The waitress, Marisol was incredibly helpful since the menu was pretty much all Spanish. I started out with the assortment off the "vermouth" menu, which consisted of Galician cockles, pickled mussels, razer clams & sardines with a glass of red wine. It was all delicious & paired well with the wine. I had the sardines on top of cheese & toast & it was the perfect combo. The rest was perfectly pickled & the mussels were tender & full of flavor; actually, they were all full of flavor. I usually hate sardines because of the fishy taste but these were perfecto! Then I got the assortment of Ibéricos. I've been skeptical about trying them because I'm heading off to Italy & all the cured meats I've tried pretty much was similar to prosciutto and salami but tougher, but this place proved me wrong. It was all melt in your mouth sort of texture. I ate those with cava. Just had to try the cava but might've been better with red wine. Still good though! Then I ordered their grilled shrimp that was small but packed with flavor & freshness. My last order was Galician style octopus. When it arrived I was surprised to see that it was well cooked but when i ate it, it was flavorful & even spicy. Overall, my experience was great & Marisol even helped me look up some routes to get to the airport since the taxi drivers were on strike. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for good tapas & not to mention the prices were super affordable, which is why I ordered so much. read more
