I had an early-morning meeting in Marietta this past Saturday. I live near Suwanee, which can be a drive of an hour or more. So I ran out the door without time for coffee or breakfast, wanting to make sure I wasn't going to be late.
When I found myself near my destination and running a bit early, I looked around for a place to stop and have a coffee and a bite to eat. Fortunately, La Suprema Bakery was down the street from where I needed to be. I tried an almond croissant and a cup of coffee. The coffee was surprisingly decent and the croissant was like a party in my mouth. Not too sweet, not too heavy, and not too buttery. Just bready, tasty perfection with a hint of sweetness.
Had it been later in the day, I would definitely have tried some of their other treats. The bakery was lined with case upon case of droolworthy delectables. Now that I've seen on Yelp that there are several other locations in the Atlanta area, I'm pretty sure another visit will happen eventually. I'll let you all know how it goes. read more
