This spot can't seem to hold onto a restaurant. I think it was a sports bar last year, and a Chinese place the year before that. But now, it's Lebanese. And I'm glad it is!
We sat at the cozy table for two next to the front window, where I had a perfectly-framed view of the Volksbad (one of my favorite buildings to look at in Munich). After getting a look at the menu, I couldn't wait to try the mouhamara, an appetizer spread made out of red peppers, walnuts, and pomegranate juice. It was every bit as delicious as I imagined it would be. After such a successful start, the mains (especially the okra) were somewhat of a let down. But then caliber of the meal picked back up again with a tastier-than-expected walnut dessert.
Looking forward to going back and giving some different dishes a try (and having the mouhamara again). read more
