Hummus and their bread (forget the exact name!)
    Peter H.

This place had a 4 1/2 star rating, but it didn't live up to the hype. It was very authentic cuisine. You could tell immediately from their clientele. The only thing that would have made it more legit was if they served their food tapas style. I ordered the hummus with the bread (I can't remember what they call it), but it was a chewier version of pita bread. The hummus was alright as well, nothing extraordinary. It wasn't bad by any means, but it tastes exactly how you'd expect a typical hummus would. I had the Chicken kebab platter. This was very good. They serve the chicken with a side of onions, tomato, and cucumber. All which complimented the chicken very well. The skewers were massive haha. They barely balanced on the serving plate. Together, the bread & hummus along with the platter was quite a lot of food. They give you so much bread so if you're still hungry you can get full off that. Lastly, when I asked for the bill, they brought me a complimentary tea. At first I thought the server simply misheard me and was going to charge me for it, but they did not. Overall service was pretty good compared to other places I've gone in Europe!

You must go here. The lavash is light and tasty and you get plenty. The tea is wonderful. The hummus and cacik are right on. And the meats are delicious and perfectly grilled. I asked for shish tawook (chicken) and subbed a kofte to try one of each. All of this food was 15 Euro. This is my new favorite restaurant in Munich. Make sure to ask for the sumac and chile spices to add to your hummus and meat.

Well, to be quite honest with you, when we arrived at our first hotel, Best Western Cristal, I was a bit taken by the neighborhood. I noticed all the Turkish businesses and restaurants and didn't realize that Germany has a large Turkish population. After almost tow weeks traveling around CZ, Hungary, Austria and Germany, I was sooooo looking forward to Middle Eastern Food! This restaurant caught our eye as we walked by it several times so we stopped in our last night in München. We tried to communicate as well as we could as they do not have an English menu. We ordered a luleh kebob and lamb kebob. You can order one kebob or two. My wife ordered just one luleh and I ordered 2 lamb, I'm glad I did! The lamb was grilled nicely and was really not gamey at all. The meal came with a yogurt sauce, cucumbers, pickled vegetables and onions. We also got some ginormous pita breads. We were offered apple tea after the meal and I couldn't have been more happy! If you are tired of the heavy German diet, stop in this neighborhood and you'll feel that you are in a total different world!

Really enjoyed the food. First meal in Munich. Very friendly staff and great service. Not too pricey and was good value for money.

WARNING: This is NOT the place to go if you're looking for a meal that will take under 90 minutes. I was part of a group of 8 and we were here over 4 hours and had a blast. When I entered the front door I was a bit surprised to be directed by a friendly man to walk downstairs. Wait.....are you pointing me in the direction of the bathroom? I'm here to eat!!! Indeed, the restaurant IS downstairs. It's like stepping into a different part of the world. The decor is so authentic and well done. It's truly impressive to admire. The staff are very relaxed and welcoming here, so naturally they let my friends and I catch up (and fill up one beer and wine a bit) before coming to take our food orders. Round One: cold appetizers! Made fresh and tasted about 10 times better than I could have imagined. My favorite was a red pepper hummus. Round Two: hot appetizers! Yep, just as good as round 1. Try the bread stuffed with lamb. It's a bit crispy and quite thin so you won't fill up too much before your main course. Round 3: main courses! ....or maybe I should say Round 3: plates FULL of food that barely got touched because we filled up on appetizers. Seriously, you must pace yourself here. The portions for the entrees are massive. Most of us asked to take our leftovers home because it was simply too yummy to waste. I had lamb over a bit of spicy rice with pine nuts and jogurt. Round 4: the "guilt stage"....yes, that moment of the meal when you realize you just ate more than a family of four. Oh well....time for hookah and entertainment! The belly dancer is wonderful. She was talented and interacted with everyone dining. I hope you're not shy because she WILL try and pull you on stage to dance with her. My girlfriend's and I played along and got some great photos out of the experience. If you're not already exploding from consuming so much, try the Arabic coffee! Arabesk might not be for everyone, but it is a unique dining experience that isn't typical of Munich and it is certainly worth a try! : )

The meat was almost uncooked! Eat somewhere else in the place. And even if there is no Arabic-Lebanese restaurant in town, they go elsewhere.
