After exploring 5-8 "Mexican restaurants" in Warsaw, dos tacos is the most traditional Mexican (not…read moreTex-Mex") we have been able to find. Tacos are flavorful and serve on soft corn tortilla, as Mexican culture suggests. Nopales are a delicacy and beans soup tastes like home. Strongly recommend the "michelada" if you are willing to try spicy Mexican beer. Best part: our waitress spoke excellent Spanish and English. Oh! Beware of "kids parties" as it can get very noisy. I suggest to call ahead and make sure no kids parties have been schedule.

Pros: Menu variety, live music at night, fast service Cons:…read morefood quality a little disappointing I've tried many Mexican restaurants across multitude of countries, and this place is not the greatest. The food tasted OK, but it didn't impress me or the people I had dinner with. I ordered a quesadilla and it looked and tasted like somebody made it hours ago and it just got reheated prior to serving. The cheese wasn't melting and stretching like I usually like my quesadillas, and the cheese mix used in it was average. My companions ordered fajitas and I was surprised that some of the provided tortillas were actually a little hard! Overall, I'd say it was okay, but I'd recommend to avoid if you can go to other Mexican restaurants that are better. If you happen to be in the area, give it a go but don't bring your hopes up.

This is exactly the situation at Shipudei Berek, a modern Israeli restaurant run by a passionate chef who wanted to bring a piece of Tel Aviv to Warsaw! I just can't emphasize how great this restaurant is--from the trendy modern decor, the friendly service, the videos of life & food in Israel playing in the background, and yes, the delicious food, Shipudei Berek is just bomb! The thing I loved the most was the mezze spread--10 different dishes of freshly prepared appetizers that come with every skewer entree: cabbage, tzatziki, red sumac onions, spicy carrots, shredded carrots, beets, grated tomato, tahini, hummus with chili, and pickled cucumbers & chilies! Every mezze dish was so fresh and seasoned so perfectly--if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the dreamy, creamy hummus, which just goes perfectly with the pita bread that comes on the side! On top of the mezze, we also got an order of the octopus shipud, which were four pieces of octopus marinated and grilled on skewers! This was delicious as well, though I'd probably suggest getting another protein, since the octopus came out a bit burnt using this preparation. I also got a freshly squeezed pomegranate juice, which had some of the whole arils floating on top! Delicious! Come, come, come to Shipudei Berek, and if I haven't given you enough reasons, here's one more: the prices are an absolute steal for the quality of food and the overall experience! At one point, our waitress noticed that our skewers were taking a while to arrive, so she asked us if we wanted extra mezze and refilled our requested plates for free!

I wanted to like this place especially as I love Hungarian food and so here is what worked:…read moreAppetizers were good indeed and we have tried three of them: flavorful pepper cream served with bacon and sweet potato chips, pepper infused lard with home baked bread as well as fried flatbread called langosz. All good here but frankly, how difficult are these to make? Our mains were disappointing: my goulash soup was very watery and with no discernible taste which was not helped by meager pieces of pork meat with a lot of fat floating in it. We also had pork knuckle, which was a-ok again, bland and served with a lot of greasy fries: we only ate some and nothing to write home about. This was accompanied by an outrageously expensive glass of wine, which was good but at $25/glass really overpriced as fas as Hungarian wines go. All in all this is not a great choice for me. Maybe it was our choice of food but I am not encourage to come back to test it again.

Their chili sauce is the only real spicy thing i actually find in warsaw, recommend on taking an extra sauce for 2 zloty, they are all good, one sauce is too small for a portion. 2 sauces are being quite great for variety and quality rather than stomach-stacking (which i find easily in many other places in that case)

The staff is very nice. We got 2 burgers: (not so) hot bacon and blue cheese(without blue cheese - that's what we asked for). and fries. The meat was not seasoned at all. Some might like it but I think that burgers are all about well flavored meat. The buns were ok. Fries were the worst part - mushy and greasy. The only thing that I really enjoyed at Miedzy Bulkami is lemonade. Both classic and basil were very good. Burgers are stll a hit in Poland but here they are average.
