I got the brisket mac and cheese, and don't be fooled by the piece of meat laying on top. That is kind of just to show you what your order is. There is a good amount of meat distributed throughout the bowl it comes in. It was pretty pricey, but honestly, the flavor was just WOW. The brisket was honest to god smoked and delicious, the combination of cheeses they are using lends itself to the full spectrum of cheese flavors. From sharp, to creamy and nutty, to mild and smooth. The bowl is enough to share with a second person, finishing one on your own is absolutely possible, but you will be very full and calorie-rich if you were to do it. On top of that, love the friendly good vibes coming out of this truck. Chef Breeze and his crew don't seem like they could be happier doing anything else. Smokiin Mac is one of the food truck gems in the Triad, and they deserve it!

If you don't have time to wait for your food to be made fresh or are pressed for time, I recommend you only stop when you have time to wait for the food to be prepped and served. I like that they give you your food in an aluminum to go pan which makes it easier when it's time to reheat your food if needed. M

Savoury Eats Kitchen is a gem and the perfect complement to Hidden Gate Brewing right next door…read more The setup could not be better. Amazing beer inside the brewery and this eclectic, flavor-packed menu just steps away. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The chimichurri steak frites, tuna poke nachos, and onion rings were all bursting with fresh, creative flavors. It's rare to say that one dish after another keeps topping the last, but that's exactly what happened here. The owner clearly knows his craft and it shows in every bite. As of this review, they're temporarily closed until approximately November 1, 2025, but I cannot wait for them to reopen. When they do, this will absolutely be a go to spot for food that matches the energy and fun of Hidden Gate Brewing.

It's a food truck that's in partnership with the Hidden Gate Brewing. My order was placed at 4:16pm for honey garlic wings with truffle fries. I was given a buzzer to alert me when my food was ready. The buzzer went off at 4:25pm. I was given a side of the honey garlic sauce since I didn't get ranch or blue cheese. I also asked for cheese on top of my fries. Staff were helpful and great! I sat at a table to enjoy my food. The wings were perfectly cooked and I I enjoyed the fries. I even dipped them in the honey garlic sauce. For me, the sauce was more honey than garlic, which I didn't like. I would've preferred the opposite, if a balance between the two wasn't achievable. 9 piece wings and fries for under $14? That's a steal! I highly recommend them. I plan to return and I'd like to try a different wing flavor and/or another menu items. Several menu items piqued my interest. Apparently, this place is a favorite with some of my friends as well! As I'm doing this review, I'm wanting dessert. I definitely want to try the beignets.

I happened upon this traveling food truck on a night when I wasn't intending to do take out, but…read morethe menu sounded so appealing that I decided to splurge. I went with the lobster roll, chasing a food memory from last summer in New England. The menu is short and to the point. Lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls, and a variety of stuffed avocados. The lobster roll was a little bit under $20, with 3oz of chilled lobster complimented by a generous portion of mayo and a buttery bun toasted to perfection. This sandwich beat my expectations by a long shot! A generous portion of super cold lobster meat, tender and succulent. I found the seasoning a bit off putting, as it distracted from the overall flavor of the lobster. Their website is a couple of weeks behind but check on Facebook for day of locations. Or you might just see their truck somewhere like I did and stop on by.

For $23 I got a lobster roll and Cape Cod chips. The price is high but I have to say my grilled roll was stuffed with lobster. No fillers of any sort. You do get a small container of melted butter. My husband added the butter to his and thought it added a lot however I was quite happy eating it as is. It was just plump full of lobster and the roll was also good. They also offer lobster in a stuffed avocado and a couple of different seafood rolls as well. We will definitely be keeping our eye out for this food truck in the future. From the number of people ordering, it appears that the secret is out on how good this food truck is.

If a restaurant, a mercadito, a carniceria, or a food truck offers street style tacos in the Triad,…read moreYelper Michael P will find them, try them, and review them, and all I have to do is follow along behind him - a bit lazy perhaps, but kinda cool, cause like Michael, I do like tacos and such! This truck is his latest find, apparently now firmly ensconced in a parking lot in the front of a mobile phone store, just down E Bessemer Avenue from another great little taco source, Taqueria Latinos. Unfortunately, this is a butt ugly stretch of Bessemer Avenue, similar to if not worse than, stretches of recently re-named Gate City Blvd, and apparently still in the political and financial blind spots of the governmental PTB - but perhaps bike lanes are just around the corner! The entire operation is typical as to menu, pricing, and service, resulting in some pretty darn good tacos - throw in a flavorful Burrito with Carne Azada, some very different, very tasty Rice & Beans, all "artfully" done. and you have yourself a really nice lunch of authentic street food. The tacos I tried were the al pastor, carne azada, and chorizo, all nicely decorated & flavored with chopped, raw white onion & cilantro, and came with grilled onions, a giant, grilled jalapeno pepper, and a red, house hot sauce with some noticeable heat. Once the onions, sliced jalapeno, and hot sauce were added, this became an excellent taco - and all for $1.25 each! I hope on my next visit to get the verde sauce, as well. The burrito is quite nice once you're well into it, the outer edges are rather dry tortilla. Inside is a nice assortment of thinly sliced beef, tomatoes, and lettuce - throw in some of the hot sauce, and you are good to go. The rice is a very white version with peas, carrot, and corn, & when well salted, quite tasty. The beans are basically pintos, in a rather soupy liquid, also tasty. I recommend this taco truck for your consideration!

5 Stars! 10 if I could. I didn't expect a food truck, to turn into one of the most memorable…read moreexperiences I had during my 1st visit to North Carolina, But that's exactly what happened at Taco Bros in Greensboro, NC. First off, this isn't just a random food truck. There is such an incredible story behind it. It's run by Gary and his best friend Alex, who have been friends since grade school back in Mexico City, Mexico!! You can feel that deep history in the way they run their business. There's a level of trust, energy, and authenticity that you don't usually see, and it trickles down to the entire team!!!Every employee I interacted with was genuinely happy, welcoming, and proud to be there (which says a lot) especially during these times. They've also set themselves up in some of the best spots around. I visited : 1) Summerfield Farms. 2) Oden Brewing Company. At both locations, you're not just grabbing food, you're getting a whole experience! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Live music, dog friendly. The menu is simple, affordable, and done right. We got to try 4 different tacos, their queso dip, and their churros, and everything delicious! The meat was seasoned to perfection, super juicy, and full of flavor without being overcomplicated. But what really made this experience unforgettable? I got invited onto the truck to make my own churros!! let me tell you, that is not something you get to do every day. It was hands-on, fun, and honestly one of the most unique experiences I've had, collaborating with another business. By the end of it, it didn't even feel like a transaction anymore, we became friends! Taco Bros isn't just serving food, they're building up thier community. And that's something you don't come across often.

Overall the truck seemed very clean and hygienic for a food truck. The staff was incredibly friendly and organized. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The prices are a bit high which is common for food trucks. Guac and chips was $10 and the chicken quesadilla was $14. One thing that would have been a nice touch was Jarritos. The chicken quesadilla was good but could have used a bit more seasoning. It was good sized and stuffed full of chicken, onions, peppers, and cheese. Overall we enjoyed Taco Bros and would definitely try them again at another event.
