So before leaving, I decided to place an order for the boneless wings with a honey bbq sauce. It also came with fries, and he offered me a homemade hot ranch sauce, that was fantastic. The food took about 15 minutes, and I was on my way, with a container busting at the seams. They did not skimp, the the 10 pieces of boneless chicken were very large. Between the chicken and the fries, my wife and I were both able to get a dinner from this order. Based on that, I'll say the pricing was very fair compared to the portions! The owners are kindly California transplants, hence the truck's name, and the food is unlike much of what you can get around here. While the menu features flatbreads and quesadillas/burritos/tacos, you can also find fried artichoke hearts and cucumber borscht. The artichoke hearts are reliably tasty and make for a healthier and tangier alternative to many other fried apps. The Bussin (loaded spicy shrimp tacos) is a recurring favorite as well. During a recent visit, however, my wife and I decided to change things up a bit and went with a steak quesadilla and a steak and cheese wrap, respectively. Both boasted tender asada. While the former came with a delicious homemade salsa, the latter made for a refreshingly crisp bite thanks to the purple cabbage and avocado. Were it merely a taco truck, West Coast Wanderer would face stiff competition around these parts.
