The waitress didn't come out often and she did mess up orders on our table, so that was slightly frustrating. I definitely did not get refills on my drink. She was not rude, which is a plus, just not available and the place was pretty dead, which made it annoying. The place is old and in need of an upgrade of some sort, since old hole in the wall charm only works if the food is amazing. I think if you're starving and this is the last place on earth, fine you will survive. I just think that Refugio has to have better restaurants.

There was enough food on her plate to easily split and it was a shame that even with my assistance we could only finish about two-thirds of the serving. Service was on point as we never lacked water or coffee refills. I also liked that a variety of sauces were provided with our meal. If you find yourself in Kenedy go where the locals go-to Taqueria Los Potros de Jalisco for a marvelous breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The meals came out quickly, large portions and tasty beans/rice. The taco salad had a crisp shell with more beans/beef than lettuce, but guac and sour cream plus cheese. The enchiladas were good, not quite hot enough to melt all the cheese inside the tortillas but they had a good flavor. Service was very friendly and efficient. Total for two entrees, two sodas was $34.16 before tip. By the way they charge a 3% upcharge for using plastic, so be aware.
