It must be family owned because everyone was Indian,not that I have anything against people from India,but the hotel was filthy!Not pet friendly at all,made me sign a paper that my 2 dogs were not allowed on any of the furniture ! thank goodness I travel with my own blankets so I covered the bed so they could sleep with me! Awful hard beds,and then the people in the room next to us had music blasting and talking loud all night! I had to get up twice and go to front desk to complain! The bagels were old and hard and it was just overall really disappointing. The staff was okay, not super nice or anything, just simply did their job. The owner of the La Quinta in Covington kicked out me, my partner, and our two year old on Easter Sunday. My partner had asked him if she could use the gym. He told her to look it up online and made fun of her as she walked away. I politely asked him later why he did this and he kicked us out. I complained to him about loud music nextdoor in the middle of the night and he said that's not his problem. There was cigarette and marijuana smoke in our hallway. I'm a Wyndham Rewards member and have never been treated this way. Never stay here. read more

This hotel is not pet friendly even though they claim to be online. The staff are afraid of dogs and if your dog barks even a little they will ask you to leave and not refund your stay. Never had this problem at any other dog friendly hotel. They were incredibly rude when we were asked to leave and were not given any kind of warning that this might occur. We travel cross country several times a year and will never be staying here again. 0 stars, do not recommend! P.S. Most of their staff are not wearing masks properly, if at all. read more

This was the worst part of my travel to my good friend's wedding recently. My girlfriend's oldest daughter and I planned to share a room, so she booked it here. Since I was arriving a day earlier, she made prior arrangements and got approval for me to check into our double room a day earlier. However, there must not have been any notes in the computer, because the check in clerk refused to let me do so. He said since I arrived first, the reservation would have to change to my name and the entire reservation would go on my card! I told him that wouldn't work for me financially, but he couldn't grasp that the arrangements had already been approved. I ended up having to get a single room for the night. The problem was that check out was at 11am the next day and the wedding wasn't until 4pm. My roommate was due in sometime between 11am and 4pm, but we would need time to get ready. Check in was 3pm, which was way too late to make a 4pm wedding, even if it was nearby. I inquired with the same check in clerk and he said that my roommate could pay an early check in fee or I could keep my single room another night and we could get ready in my room. This totally defeated our plan to save money by sharing a double room. When my roommate called me from the road, I described the situation. She immediately called the hotel to speak with the person with whom she made the arrangements. Only then was I able to switch to her reserved double! A number of other things happened where we received poor customer service the rest of the weekend and it was aggravating and unnecessary. Apparently, this hotel is independently family owned and not really part of the larger chain. They would not own up to their mistakes, the deficiencies in their facility (lousy breakfast, lack of proper eating utensils, dysfunctional air conditioning, harassment of my roommate regarding check out on Sunday, etc.) and lied on our group when we lodged complaints with the owner...a miserable experience from the word GO! Sometimes an economical choice doesn't end up being worth the piss poor quality. read more

We arrived to a rude reception. We were locked out of our room each day when our keys randomly deactivated. If they performed housekeeping each day, they didn't clear the trash or replace towels. The printer didn't work for preparing our boarding passes. There were constant noises from above and next to the room. No warm breakfast was provided and the pool was closed :neither issue was advertised upon our booking. The cost of our stay was more than other guests and anytime we needed anything from the front desk we had to hear from the desk clerk about all her stories before she would hand over the needed item. read more

Yeah... not happy. I stay at La Quinta Inns often. This one, was by far, the worst! Half the parking lot roped off because of resurfacing. I'm not mad about that because I understand the need to upgrade. But putting me on the top floor and elevator isn't working? Room has a bad dingy smell. I saw a few small spiders. I will never stay at this hotel again! The pool is still not open and there is no breakfast even though their website states they are open for use. The hotel was okay but needed maintenance. There were rips in the carpet and a film of dust in several areas. Last, but certainly not least, they continued to access my account without my authorization causing me to have to cancel my card and file a claim to get my money back. Positives: The young woman who checked us in was very polite and friendly. I sincerely wish I remembered her name to give her credit as she was one of the reasons I'm giving more than 1 star. The location looked recently renovated, very well done and modern. Negatives: They gave us a room on the bottom floor which was awkwardly in between a large meeting room and what looked like a utility closet of some sort. At first it wasn't a huge deal. The room looked clean, a tad dark but overall spacious and well designed. HOWEVER, they did not inform us that on Sundays mornings they have a whole church service with drums and music LOUD AF. We were preparing to get up to drive 9 hours, to be rudely woken up and kept wake.. Will not be staying here again. read more

I purchased a room $175.00 2 hours before arriving through getaroom.com. The room had a door handle missing, hair and stains in the sheets, rust and mold in the refrigerator. I went to the front desk associate to advise of the poor conditions. She offered another room and apologized. The second room also had hair and stains in the linen, as well. At this point (we were there an hour at most), we decided to leave. The front desk associate advised me that i would receive a full refund and that I should expect it within a week. After a week I called back asking to speak to a manager. I was told he was in a meeting and would call me back (he did not), but if we did not stay we were due a refund per the associate. I called back and the call was disconnected three times. I reached out to getaroom.com. They advised they would issue a refund if the manager agreed as a courtesy. The get a room associate placed me on hold and saId the manager declined. I called the hotel on three way and demanded to speak to the manager right now as I had the third party on the line also. He came to the phone and told me he would not agree to it. The third party asked that I call back after it is resolved between us. After the third party rep hung up the manager proceeded to ask questions about my experience. He then agreed that I was due a refund and also provided a drafted email stating this. Yet months later I am still without the service that was agreed to nor my money. I've learned many lessons from this we live in a time where companies have no integrity or empathy. Pretty sure some of the folks here are sniffing glue from the way they act and treat people. They took my card for "incidentals" and then charged the room to it although it was directly paid by a municipality. After almost a month of phone calls and wack a do phone conversations I am now disputing the transaction with my credit card company in the hopes for resolution. i went to same hotel in Atlanta where there was coffee and store and the sheets. There is a difference. They knocked my door twice on a Sunday morning! We weren't welcomed there. The breakfast was closed and we wasn't told the time--like it was pour fault. Refused Room service, but they wanted our used towel before giving us new ones. I just told my wife to checkout. We drove up toward Atlanta. They offered the store options, late checkout and the beds sheets were really white and a lot nicer. Only reason to review that dump we left! read more

Stayed at this hotel and at first I loved it, the front desk lady Anita is so sweet. Love her. But then the second night i had been woken up and saw bed bugs legit crawling on me. I got up and pulled the sheets back and saw more bed bugs, so me and my sister ended up sleeping on the floor lol. I called the front desk in the morning (it wasn't Anita, it was some other lady) I told her there were bed bugs, showed her the bed bug I killed and she said she would send the manager up (this was at 10am). Flash forward 2 hours later, still no one came up so i called again and they said the manager definitely was coming up. 1 hour later, still no manager so i called AGAIN and said hello we want to go out and do things and move our stuff, we ended up getting switched to another room and it smelt like shit, so definitely would not stay there again although Anita was amazing s/o her, she's the only reason i'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1. read more

Bad experience. Called ahead of time to confirm that it was a new hotel and manager on duty said yes. Had this experience before and asked if they were another hotel and just changed names and she said no. Asked her if they were doing any renovation work and she said no. Took her at her word and made a reservation five nights bringing our little dog. When we arrived found out that they were previously a Holiday Inn Express and lost their franchise so they became a La Quinta. Be that as it may, we decided to stay. The next day we asked for towels around 9 am and were told that housekeeping would not be in till 10:30 so could not get towels until we got back later. Told the front end person, who was the GM that we did not want anybody going into the room, because we were leaving our dog locked up behind a gate in the bathroom. In addition, we had a do not disturb sign on the door handle. She said no problem. We came back and the towels were sitting by the TV and our dog was besides herself whimpering. She had thrown up. I guess the staff cannot read "do not disturb" on the door knob! Friday we came back around 6 and the hotel during the day had painted the elevators. The whole hotel smell of paint, paint thinner, and turpentine. The horrible smell was throughout the hotel. We went into our room and the smell was worse because the AC was just recirculating the smell. The front end person called the manager and she informed us that there was really nothing they could do but turn up the AC. Turning up the AC would make just make things worse. They did not want to change our room and even if they did move us to a higher floor there was no way to move our stuff because the elevators were out of commission. I asked why did they paint the elevators when people were in the hotel and the answer was that they were under continuing renovations which is opposite of what they told me before I made the reservation. The GM was going to call me Friday night to come to some kind of resolution but never did. I did call her but she was quite disturbed that I was bothering her on a Friday night. I was informed that she could not do anything till Monday. At that point my wife and I decided to leave. The only option since we had our dog was to drive 5 hours home. The lobby was full of people complaining but we do not know what happened to them because we had to leave - the smell was getting worse and worse as the front door opened and the air pushed the smell in our faces. As of now we have not hear back from the GM, owner of the hotel or La Quinta. read more

Stayed there when my power went out with Irma. Front desk people were very nice. Room was 2 double beds (with 3 pillows each!). Microwave, refrigerator, nice big screen color TV, marble countertop in bathroom. Free breakfast buffet (scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits with gravy, waffles). Very nice experience. read more

This hotel room was disgusting. Plane arrived late so we checked in late, went to our room and unpacked. Bathroom counter was sticky but we were exhausted so we overlooked it for the moment and went to bed. Pulled down the blankets on the bed, and there were food crumbs all over - they clearly didn't wash the linens. Then stepped on a piece of beef jerky on the rug. Also, though we were on the top (4th) floor, we could hear every word down in the courtyard - people were talking until 1am. It was a terrible hotel experience. We left feeling tired and filthy. The one good thing was that the lady at the front desk was nice. But it didn't make up for the gross condition of the hotel room. read more
