I don't even know we're to start, when we arrived there was people sitting smoking weed at every stair way. As soon as we walked into our room it smelled like weed every time we used the bathroom we can smell the weed. The room was dirty I felt disgusted! There are no curtains on the windows so the hallway lights shine bright into your room at 4am it looked like 9am in our room it was horrible! The ac was broken so was the shower the water went from hot to cold on it's own you couldn't use it for more than 5 min and than the water wouldn't shut off just an utterly mess! If I could give a "0" star review, I would!! I sent my daughter and son in law here for a quick, inexpensive place to rest and this place was worse than the hotel in Psycho!! First, my husband and SIL went to check in while running errands. They went by the room to make sure the keys worked. The blinds were so broken that no matter what you did, people could still see in. So they made the front desk change rooms. Well the second room was something from a horror movie. Within a few minutes of entering the room, they were surrounded by roaches, including ON THE BED!!! Later, while I was on the phone with my daughter, yet another roach ran out of the microwave!! Do you think I got my $$ back despite these terrible conditions?? Nah! They didn't report the roaches within 15 minutes of check in!! The girl at the front desk told us she didn't care if the room was infested, only that it was past 15 minutes??? The only I reason I am giving this place 1 star is because it provided a roof. My husband & I checked in 31 August 2019 around 10:40 pm after driving for 10 hours. We spent about 5 minutes trying to get the key card to work. We get in and the light switch did not work...because there was no bulb in the lamp....or a lampshade. Fine, whatever, I'm tired. There were 2 infant size pillows on the bed, 1 bath towel, 1 face towel, and a shower/tub with more black mold/mildew than my bottle of bleach spray (I take to each hotel I stay at) could tackle. No thank you. I go to the office to demand another room room, the doors are locked because they are about to close. The clerk let's me in & I tell her why I want a new room. It's her 1st night on the job so I kind of (just a little bit) felt bad for her. She gives me the very last room they have available. She tells me the towel situation is what it is & they have no extra to offer, nor any pillows. Say what? She tells me to take the pillows/towels from the old room to the new. But by then my husband has gathered our things & is waiting outside the old room. We cannot get the towels or pillows because once again the key card is not working. The new room was ok. We are wore out, hot, sticky, & hungry. This room had 2 infant sized pillows, 1 face towel & 1 hand towel cleverly wrapped in 1 towel for the floor when getting out of the shower. Really? I really didn't feel like spending more time trying to get a refund & looking for a new hotel. read more

Average. This motel does the trick if you're in a pinch but for what I paid I don't think it is worth it. The WiFi did not work in our room for half of our stay. It would kick on for a second and then instantly drop. I went to the desk two times and they tried to help me (low effort) but still no WiFi. Eventually on the end of night three I was able to get help, it took time over two hours but finally it worked for the short remainder of our trip. Our toilet was leaking water from the side. The deadbolt to our room did not work from the inside. Our phone in our room didn't work so anytime we needed something we had to walk to the desk. The rooms are renovated and clean. You can tell stuff is worn out though. Not a horrible experience but for what I paid I expected way better quality overall. Disappointed. Would not return. read more

This place was awful and scary to stay at with children! The room was dirty when I arrived. They refuse to let you check in until 3pm. I requested another room and they said no. Also couldn't give me a refund to find another place. Then they cancelled my reservation anyways and didn't say anything to me. Someone later tried to enter my room and the next morning I spoke to them about it and they said my reaervation was cancelled the day before that I needed to pay for the current night. The only "good" thing about this was the night before was free. The room hadn't been swept or moped. Hair in the bathtub. Dust on EVERYTHING! No lamp covers, no smoke detector, no ceiling tiles in bathroom. Sheets had stains on them. No cover on the ac machine. Chairs were gross and had dirt and stains and layered with dust. It looks like they have people who live in this hotel and gives off super creepy vibes. Their photos are NOTHING like what they actually offer. read more

I made reservations on May 6 and arrived on May 30 to a hotel that was completely gutted. The hotel was 100% closed and under construction. Three different representatives at Wyndham refused to help me or even acknowledge the fact that the hotel was not open for business. We did not get another reservation through Wyndham that evening. When I called after getting home, I received the same nasty service from "the person in charge" of the Baymount brand. Nothing has been resolved. Nothing refunded. I will never go to this Baymont Inn. I had two rooms one night because my air conditioner went out at home. I called and asked the next day to hold 2 rooms for me. The air conditioner came back on at home so I didn't need the rooms. They charged my credit card without my authorization for 2 rooms for another night. This hotel sucks. I checked in Wednesday the room i had was horrible. There was a hole in the wall and the lights didn't but next day found out the lights were unplugged. So i went downstairs to see if they could switch me but they were full so i waited till next day. The room they switched me to was better then i was was coming back to my room my key didn't work and they thought i checked out but my stuff is still in my room. So they gave me new key then I'm watching tv and the show i was watching goes blank. So i start flipping channels and there's only a couple channels that work instead of 50. This place needs to be torn down and redone definitely not worth $69 night The front night person doesn't know what to do and has to call the manager at home to figure out what to do. First our non-smoking room smelled like old cigarettes. The bathroom ceiling is rusty and chipping, the room appeared 1/2 clean, bedding had holes in it, had issues with room keys, saw a roach crawl across tv while watching it... I could go on. The gentleman that checked us in was extremely helpful and nice and went above and beyond. This was my second stay here and it will also be my last after this visit. Where do I even begin.... As soon as we walked into our room it smelled so bad and there was a bug on the wall, a bug smushed on the carpet, and it looked like the ceiling had shit all over it. We had to go to Walmart to by fabreeze cause it smelled like dead people and farts. The next morning we were packing up and there was a huge bug on the bed. Fleabag service for a four star price. Housekeeping comes so early they wake you up, then won't make your room up. The "breakfast", which only goes until 9am, includes witheresd apples, an assortment of shrink wrapped carbs, and the weakest coffee anywhere. Overall not an awful stay for just one night. We checked in late on Friday night and the guy working the desk was very friendly. Got to our room, seemed decent enough. We noticed right off that there was only 1 towel in the bathroom. So we decided to just get some in the morning when we got breakfast. Then laying in bed, we looked up to notice blue silly string on the ceiling. We got a laugh out of that and figured who looks at the ceiling when cleaning the rooms. I will say, the air conditioner was spot on. The room wasn't spotless but clean enough. Next morning we go eat breakfast, low key continental. The waffles were very good. After we ate we asked the desk attendant for towels. It's about 8:30 at this point. Check out is 11. Well, there are no towels. They are at full capacity & the housekeeper has not come in yet to was towels. We were given no time frame of when there would be towels ready nor was she friendly or concerned that there were no towels. Just made sure to tell us that check out is at 11. So you mean to tell me that no one else in that hotel can wash towels? You expect 2 people to dry off with the same towel? I could be over reacting but I feel like towels are a necessity. So right now our options are to share, wait or don't take a bath. Umm..nope. One of us got the towel and the other dried off with the bath towel rug & 2 hand towels. The Baymont is not the swankiest of places. But, it is clean, moderately priced and close enough to Emory University's Oxford College to meet the purposes of our travel to Covington, i.e. to visit our son at the school. It is also easy enough to get to downtown Covington, via Alcovy Rd., Oxford via picturesque back roads and the I-20 via on ramp at Alcovy. You can pay $20-30/night more to stay at the Holiday Inn Express and get a more updated facility. But, the Baymont WiFi has always worked and is the better value. read more

Southern Hospitality gone. Killed by 56 square feet of dirt,stains, and poor staffing. Along with no ability by some of the people ,who were on site ,to fix anything, respond to anything. Acknowledge anything, that was obviously wrong. A hotel so unkept , it made grime a popular choice for quality in order to avoid staying there. Demanded a reverse of my CC in total . I was told fine. Until I confirmed they didn't do so and knew waiting would guarentee my charge was put through. Which I verified . To me fraud. To Travelocity " Policy " Really ?? Then, no other rooms could be had in the area., and the reservation requirement to cancel was over. Free dirtier room offered for the inconvenience. While no credit was ever put in. Then , " no " one on staff remembered anything. And referred me to Travelocity. Then, a 2 day credit I was told i'd get by the hotel originally ,turned into a 1 day courtesy credit for my wife's inconvenience. While Travelocity informed me the hotel had no recollection of any issues ??? Seems another room ,with the same dirty conditions ,is the standard for acceptance by Travelocity as well .
