This is a nice hotel and it's conveniently located not too far from MSR Houston. It's right beside a very modest-size Buc-ee's that was built before the mega-Buc-ee's really got going. (Buc-ee's first store, and current headquarters, are in nearby Lake Jackson.) Our room was thoroughly decorated, but the interior designer forgot to equip the bathroom with a towel rack or at least a couple of hooks! Other than that, good stay, but not a great value at $180 for one night. On the same trip we stayed at just as good a hotel in College Station for less than $80 total. read more

My first time staying here and I'll definitely stay again. It was close to what I needed in Angleton and pet friendly. It has a good medium sized Buccees right next door which is a plus. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. The AC worked great and no strange room smells. Breakfast had the standard options but also had a waffle maker, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties. I checked in at 7pm on a Friday and they made fresh coffee for me. They have it all day/evening. It was an easy, comfortable, and enjoyable stay. This is where I'll stay when I come back to this area. The only negative thing I can say is that our room keycards stopped working at 9:50 am before we checked out. This was a minor inconvenience but not a biggie. read more

We had a good experience at this location. Staff were very friendly. The room was very nice and clean.

This place advertises that pets are allowed...that is a lie...their "pets Allowed" policy is that the pets cannot be left on the property when you leave, next, they cannot be on ANY furniture. If it is determined that your pet may have been on ANY furniture, you will be charged a DEEP cleaning fee, to be determined. I called this place multiple times to inquire about pets, and at no time was I provided this information. One clerk stated that I had not called, but upon further research, found that I had, indeed called several times. She tried ti blame it on a 3rd party service not knowing their policies, however determined that I spoke directly to a staff person and blamed him for not relaying policy. YOUR PETS ARE NOT WELCOME AT THIS PLACE...STAY AT A HOLIDAY INN INSTEAD. They attempted to make all kinds if excuses for their policy, but when pushed...they agreed that pets are not truly welcome...don't stay here if you have precious pets. If I could give zero stars I definitely would. read more

Everything was good besides the front desk clerk did not really know the surrounding area. I would assume that one would know the business establishment surrounding the area. I called ahead to see if they had any 18 wheeler parking. Of course they do not. So i asked about the truck stop that was across the street. She had no idea about it. Anyway we were able to find a spot and park our 18 wheeler across the street and walked over. I liked how the hotel was outside of the city. Customer service was friendly. They did not had anymore rooms available besides a suite. It was a pretty nice suite for $108. 00. I got there late and only spent like 8 hours in the suite? I thought it was a lot of money for only staying there for a small amount of time. The place was spacious and clean. There was a lot of towels and bar soap and all that. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel in the past 2 weeks. The first time was a wonderful experience. The lady at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. The room was nice. The breakfast could've been better. I stayed here lastnight and had to check out this afternoon. The maid knocked at my door around 11:50 and asked me if I was checking out today. I told her yes I was almost finished. By 12:00 another lady (I'm assuming it was a manager) came barging on my door yelling for me to check out. This is the first time in years of me staying at hotels has someone tried kicking me out right at check-out! That was unnecessary and uncalled for. Management and maids working here need a lesson in customer service skills! read more

I choose La Quinta because they are pet-friendly and conveniently located across Texas. Probably stay at 12 different La Quinta's each year for work and became an elite rewards member. The Angleton La Quinta on 2/14/19 was by far the WORST experience I've ever had at a hotel. The person at the front desk first gave me keys to an already occupied room. Then, when I did get a room, the sheets and blankets were so dirty and stained it reminded me of a $40 motel rather than the $129 I paid to stay here. Very outdated and pitiful/rude management. Finally, I made sure to request a late check out during when I arrived at the hotel. The following morning, management told me that I had to leave my room soon because they had a wedding party coming in. The cleaning person stood outside my door until I vacated the room. I'm never staying at any La Quinta's ever again after this disaster. Specifically, the Angleton La Quinta deserves 0 stars rather than 1. read more

Beware of La Quinta! Call to reserve a room at this facility where there were supposed to be a group rate available. The national desk immediately informed me there were no group rates remaining but that he would offer me the lowest price. He also took my various memberships all of which entitle me to the lowest price. In fact I've discovered that rather than booking direct, I should've booked through Expedia, Booking.com or probably any other reservation service to get a better rate. Furthermore, I was making a reservation that through these other booking sites I would not be required to pre-pay and have a nonrefundable reservation and this agent did not represent to me that my credit card was going to do anything other than guarantee the room. To my amazement, as soon as he confirmed the reservation my credit card was charged for the full stay and the email confirmation is the only notification I received that they consider it nonrefundable. I'm gonna do my best to get my money back and avoid staying here without forfeiting my money. However before I work on that I'm going to go to ftc.gov and the Texas Attorney General site, post up deceptive trade practices complaints and share them on social media so that other victims who are is surprised by the shady tactics as I am know how to seek redress. read more

The staff was so hospitable and incredibly nice. Front desk service was courteous & didn't take long to check in. Checking out was quick and seamless. Elizabeth, the breakfast attendant, was so polite & welcoming. She checked on every guest and cleaned up quite regularly. The housekeeping woke us up a bit earlier than necessary on check out day. It's a La Quinta...I don't know what more I could say. You get what you pay for! 8 mins down the road are nicer hotels. If you want a cheap stay in Angleton, but don't want a smoke-filled room downtown, then stay here. If you are expecting luxury, proper staff, and a spotless room...try somewhere else. Sad,sad, sad. I have stayed here multiple times over the last five years for business trips and this may be the LAST TIME. They say they are in the middle of remodeling, but there is certainly no sign of it. My room was more outdated than any I have ever had at this hotel. The previous comfortable lobby furniture has been replaced with a much smaller amount of uncomfortable and unwelcoming seating, and no newspaper was available. The a/c in the room hardly worked and certainly did not cool the space, was very noisy, and had visible mold and dirt build up in the vent. It stayed warm enough that I had to sleep without pulling even the sheet up. The room had no alarm clock, and the wakeup call that I left with the front desk never came. The WiFi was atleast functional enough for me to check my email. Breakfast was unacceptable, and the desk staff on duty either didn't speak enough English to assist or didn't seem to care. The waffle machine was broken, there was no fresh fruit, scrabbled egg or even "faux omlets", or sausage. and the really nice coffee machine they used to have has been replaced with a substandard model that didn't even seem willing to dispense plain hot water- which didn't matter as there were no tea bags available at breafast or with the coffee maker in the room- That is a mistake as not all of us drink coffee. As much as I hate to say it, it may be time to move my business visits on to somewhere a bit more up to date in Lake Jackson, whihc si a shame because otherwise I actually really like staying in Angleton. Oh for a Holiday Inn Express... Angleton really should have one!!! read more

My family were forced to evacuate our homes during the worst flood in this county's history. We were able to secure a room at this hotel. We were told that we could continually extend our reservation for as long as we needed it. Despite having told the staff members at the front desk that we need to extend our reservation further for the past few days, today we are told we need to leave the room because they have our reservation to someone else. My family now has no place to go. We are hoping other hotels will still have availability. This is not the only issue I have with this hotel. I was not going to focus on the minor issues, because I was just great full that we had a place to stay... but now I'm angry. So it's time to talk about the other issues. The only telephone in the hotel room works only half the time... despite my reports, it has not been replaced, the faucet in the sink looks like it is about to come off at any moment. The WiFi Is UNRELIABLE And DISCONNECTS every few minutes. Let's discuss another issue. The victims of this flood are being gouged!. While all other area hotels are doing what they can to help the flood victims, this one is not. Most other hotels in the area are giving weekly rates to help us stay afloat, this one is charging $150/night. Most of the people will be displaced from their homes for multiple weeks. I would really consider whether or not you want to do business with a place like this... no matter what the circumstances. I will do my best to denounce this hotel and it's staff to every single person that I can. read more

Stayed here for one night. The employees are exceptional. Extremely nice and caring. The breakfast was good with options like waffles, muffins, eggs and sausages. I stayed here for work. Facility seems nice- you are in a town of 20,000. However. The alarm clock didn't work. The phone didn't work. The coffee machine was broken two mornings for breakfast. They didn't even have peanut butter packets for the breakfast. My toilet backed up and there is no maintenance. I used a plunger to unstop, which is fine, but overall it's not great. I travel a lot for work and have stayed in hotels in towns this small. Skip it. Stay in a hotel in Lake Jackson, 10 miles away. There's more to do and I'm sure there are nicer hotels. read more
