The room that I was assigned was one providing safety & quiet comfort. The staff member knew that my mom was hospitalized and I was exhausted. The room was clean and I had no concerns staying there on my own. Breakfast was simple, but just fine for grabbing a bite & coffee before heading out again. I can tell that the manager/owner takes pride in the presentation of this location of Best Western. I'd definitely stay here again. (Remember that there's not an elevator, so request a first floor room, if needed.)

Once arriving at my room(in a rush) noticed I had no pillows. So when I returned to the room at 11:30 PM after volunteering all day I asked the young man at the desk for pillows, he said: "yeah hold up". So after "holding up" for 10 minutes he returns from the back with no pillows and ask if ill be up a while because he "gotta wash some new ones". So I then have the comforting thought of freshly USED pillows. -He comes to my room AND PEAKS HIS HEAD IN, because he doesn't believe I have no pillows...WOW! AND HE SHOWED UP WITH TWO PILLOWS for two queen size beds. ridiculous. 3. The hygiene, cleanliness was disgusting. Cigarette holes in the mattress, ash in the night-stand, long hairs all over the sheets, AND INTERCOURSE STAINS ***** D I S G U S T I N G *****!!!!!!!!!!! The room was previously a smoking room, so everything reeked of cigarette odor, with the stains, holes, and ash to accompany it. I was so disappointed, grossed out, and frankly pissed off I left in the middle of the night during my $247 stay. I entirely without a doubt demand a refund at the LEAST. 4. OH YEAH, there was the construction of the hotel room- so they conveniently placed all the old toilets, and shower tubs behind my hotel room in a small grassy area, next to a grease trap! Showered twice and washed all my clothes again upon returning to civilization.

They did bring us replacement comforters. The walls have drywall patches everywhere. The plumbing was leaking and falling out of the wall in some places. The towels were so thin and tiny. The toilets leaked. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall and obviously not working. The dust, dirt and grime were everywhere. The shower curtain in one of the 2 bedrooms we rented was so gross that we all chose to use the shower in the other bathroom. We had to let the water run for a while because it was brown and smelly. They shouldn't even be allowed to rent these out! One bedroom had no where to hang clothes and thw manager told us there was a closet in the living room are we could us. That closet did not have a light and had old furniture and other crap stocked up and no hanging rod. Unfortunately, everything I signed stated no refunds so we knew they would not give us our miney back. The day we checked in the lobby building didn't have electricity. They told my family member just stop back by tonight or in the morning. My family stopped by 3 times and sent the manager texts trying to meet up with her. After we returned from a funeral, the manager showed up yelling at my family member demanding payment. This was after she sent a text message with a photo of her credit card because the manager was not at the desk everytime we stopped by. She said we should have called to make arrangements to meet her. This was ludicrous! We also complained again about the gross accommodations and she said we should have spoke up earlier and she would have moved us. If they had something better why put us in that space to begin with? They seemed very apologetic about it and made it right. The breakfast was superb as the breakfast attendant America was so kind and greeted us. The breakfast was warm and fresh as it was constantly restocked. I was impressed because I usually eat breakfast a bit late and the breakfast items are usually out by the time I go eat but this time to my pleasant surprise it was all stocked in this hotel. The pool was green with algae and unsafe for swimming! I notified the desk and they told me it would be cleaned by the next day. The next morning it was still green but lighter. By that evening I asked if the pool was safe for swimming and was told yes. We went out to the pool and there were three people at a table that had been drinking. They had a dog running loose all over the fenced pool area and it charged the gate and started barking viciously. It had no leash evidently. One of them picked up the dog and held it. We went in the gate and went to the other end of the pool. They were loud and using cuss words, and they also put the dog back down! Needless to say, we were unable to stay at the pool. 3. At breakfast the morning we were leaving, I wanted to have a cup of strong coffee to help me with the 6 to 7 hr. drive home. The coffee dispenser was empty. There was an employee emptying the trash and I asked if there might be coffee soon. She responded that she was busy ... "having to clean up all of this mess" and that she would get coffee when she was done. I asked her three times during 10 minute intervals for 30 minutes if there was going to be any coffee. She replied that she was the only one there, she had to clean up all this mess, waving her hands around like the whole dining room as she was sitting in a chair doing nothing. I said that I really would have appreciated coffee with breakfast but she never made an attempt to go make any. I asked the front desk about it and she said it takes a while for the coffee to prove and I told her it had been 30+ minutes. Also, my bill was one amount, and I was charged nearly $60.00 more. When I called to inquire what the EXTRA UNKNOWN charge was for, I was told it was for "incidentals" which I had never heard of before. Nor was it discussed when I made the booking or when I checked in. It looks like I'm going to have to dispute the charge through my credit card in order to get my incidental charge back. I will not pay it! I DO NOT APPRECIATE BAIT AND SWITCH. There's no customer service at this location. I will never stay here or any other Marriott again. They evidently have a new policy... No guests or customer service... I have been online all day trying to clear this up and the website will completely wipe out everything I've typed and I have to start over. Seriously frustrated and unhappy.
