Thank you La Prima Catering for saving our holiday dinner. Ordering was a breeze and Karla was as nice as could be. She patiently answered all of my questions and made sure my order was correct. I have never ordered from a catering service and I was nervous! I was so impressed that I am doing the happy dance. The brisket was tasty and they even sent over extra gravy for the brisket. The sweet potato and carrot side dish was mouth watering. Even on zoom, my family and I were trying to figure out the ingredients. It was delicious. The chicken soup had large pieces of chicken and carrots. They gave us a large number of matzah balls for the soup too. The chocolate torte was fabulous. I couldn't help from licking the knife as I portioned it out for my family. The delivery was excellent and the delivery person was wearing gloves and a mask. We were missing one item and I called Karla, she had someone deliver it within minutes. The portions were plentiful for 10 people and the price was reasonable. Anyone who's made a proper Passover dinner knows that it isn't for the faint hearted. Ya gotta have brisket. I'm not exactly sure why you have to have brisket. I'd totally be fine with a nice prime rib one year... but you have to have brisket. Your meal also must include no leavaners... rising agents... yeast... anything like that. Then you have to have *Charoset (basically an apple and nut salad) *Horseradish *It'd be weird to not have gefilte fish *100 other things Basically it's a pain in the neck. So just the thought of trying to shop and get all of these things in the current climate was mind numbing. La Prima Catering to the rescue! Luckily I am part of a group where local restaurants and food services are posting info and I caught wind that La Prima was taking last minute orders for Passover. The price was right, the meal sounded delicious, and the woman Karla even reached out to me after I asked a question on the message board. It was clear she was responsive. Let me tell you! They really killed it, to be honest. Everything we got was fantastic. The brisket was super tender and they included a TON of extra gravy like my mother had asked for. The matzo ball soup was quite good with tons of fresh hand shredded chicken pieces. The tzimmes (which I had never had before) was indulgent with a rich depth of sweetness that in itself deserves 5 stars. The meal also included charoset (I prefer mine with a little more wine flavor). And the flourless chocolate cake which was chocolate decadence in every way shape and form. It was rich, and chocolatey, and it was honestly a mousse like consistency which I didn't mind one bit. It was the perfect finish. Me and my fam did our first virtual Passover like many of us around the nation and it went really well. I might honestly lobby for us to just order from La Prima next year to save one of us the hassle. I would be totally fine making like one thing (maybe a potato kugel) and getting the rest from La Prima. It was that good. Thank you La Prima. Thank you for saving our Passover. This catering was SO LOVELY. The food was phenomenal, and the team was absolutely fantastic. Everything was fresh and delicious. We used them for a corporate event and our attendees were extremely impressed. On-site, Juan and his team went out of his way to ensure everything was set up properly and checked in with me (as the POC) throughout the entire day. Their attention to detail and ability to keep everything so neat and tidy in that small space was so appreciated. Online, Leeanne from their sales and events team made sure we were well taken care of and had plenty of options for those with allergies or specific preferences. Loved it! Had it for our Ciao Italy meeting on 3/26/19. We had the arancini (stuffed rice cakes) or risotto cakes (parmesan cheese inside), stuffed rocaccia rounds (chicken and italian meats), basil shrimp artichoke picks, antipasto picks and caprese skewers. So delicious! Oh and dessert! We had the Dolce Americana platter. OMG! So good I went back for seconds. I was not a part of the ordering and did not see them set up (but heard that the water ordered did not come) or meet anyone from the company, but if their food is always this good, I will use them myself in the future. read more

Catering Review Is this a restaurant or just a caterer? Not sure... but I've had their catering two times now on two seperate occasions. One time lunch and one time breakfast. First the breakfast: Eggs were dry. Probably the most dry eggs I've ever had. The bacon was alright. If you are like my friend and likes her bacon burnt to a crisp then you wouldn't like this bacon though. I would say it's on the medium-rare side. Potatoes were awesome. I'm not sure what they were seasoned with... maybe paprika? But if I were go to get seconds of anything, it would have been the potatoes. Lunch items: Not so much... Meat balls tasted like rubber. The baked ziti I didn't even want to attempt to eat. I ended up just going with salad and salad is salad so it's hard to screw that up. Overall, not very good. La Prima catered our outdoor farm wedding last weekend (90+ guests)), and everything was phenomenal. The food quality was excellent - received many compliments from our guests (even the picky ones) - and the menu variety they were able to offer included high-quality meat, seafood, vegetarian, and even vegan options (we had a passed appetizers and a buffet dinner service). We provided our own alcohol, but La Prima did the bartending, and their front-facing customer service was fantastic. In fact, all of their servers were great, accommodating requests such as walking around the entire reception area pouring one-off champagne glasses for every guest for our toast, etc. The lead caterer, I believe his name was Jose, was super attentive to our Sweetheart Table bringing us food from the buffet when we didn't have time to get it ourselves, and making sure our wine was always refilled. I booked catering a couple weeks ago for an event we had here at USCRI we had booked for breakfast andand we were highly satisfied. The catering crew arrived early, set up the food trays and burners, and left the food setup looking very presentable. On top of that staff were very satisfied on the food. The food was well seasoned and did not taste bland. The biscuits were fresh and well toasted. The options for meats had turkey instead of pork which was great for our office. We also chose a bagel and pastry assortment choice that came with individual juices and it was a better combo than when bought at cosi. The entire delivery was great and utensils as well as silverware plates and napkins were included as well. We had a great experience and will be using their service again. Attended two catered lunches of sandwiches, cookies and salad. No mayo or mustard was provided and the sandwiches were ABSOLUTELY tasteless. But they sure looked great!! Salad was fresh and attractive but dressings SUCKED! Cheaply made & with NO love. La Prima - watch the food channel! Use Crazy Jane salt and real pepper and throw in some dipping sauces. Favorite caterer so far, as far as tastings go. And they grow their foods locally. Chef comes out and talks to you and most importantly the food. The food was so good I might possibly stab my fiancée or soon to be mother in law with the fork if I didn't have self control. Love them!!! A little on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for!!! Every time I have high-profile corporate guests coming into town, even a small number, I know I can count on them to take care of everything. I am continually impressed by the promptness of follow up emails I receive by the staff (specifically Erin) and others. I have called a bunch to request little additions, or changes to orders, and whoever answers the phone has always been courteous and taken care of the change with no problem. It's a huge deal to me that I can actually COUNT on them to not mess up my order (which is always on my mind and has happened countless times to me with my team.) The food is always great! I've never been disappointed by anything I have ordered. It looks nice, and is fresh, and always gets compliments. Each driver who has helped me has been very helpful (unlike some other places who drop the food off in cardboard boxes and let you set it up) the drivers help with the set up on site. They always offer to give me a copy of the final receipt, even if I already have one online, it's still nice to not have to worry about handing one to my manager while they are there in person at the meeting (since the one who is paying is not likely to me in my office and I don't have a lot of physical contact with most of them.) Their website is easy to use, especially if you have any dietary restrictions, and they are more than helpful if there is anything extra you need to order or add after you have placed the order. The catered my corporate Christmas party, and the food presentation was so good, food was so delicious, and the servant we so polite and friendly. It doesn't get better than LaPrima catering. The food is very good! I don't know were thay get their pineapples from? Hawaii I suppose:) but it's always sweet. I think that is a challenge in itself to get fruit that is out of season to taste sweet, the fruit salad always good. I mean all the food is great, but I am always impressed by the ability to serve good fruit during the winter months. I order breakfast for 10 people the amount we received was enough for lunch! The breakfast consisted of Home fried potatoes that were seasoned very well scrambled eggs French toast Belgian waffles assorted fruit and crispy bacon yum yum so good. Oh and instead of morning pastries I opted for the mini bourbon bundt cakes! OMgosh! So so good and the had a bit of a puch to them. You know the old adage you get what tou pay for? Well in rhis case I get more than I payed for. Starting with the first call I made, to the drop off if the food the service was excellent. La Prima was able to accommodate us with very short notice I ordered this meal for 10 the day before I needed it matter of fact the afternoon before I needed it and Ms. Coco what's the best. She work with me to get the price where I needed it and I was at the phone whenever I needed to make a change she was very patient. Also the delivery people were on time and they set up everything and we're very friendly, I need it breakfast by 9 a.m. and they were there at least 20 minutes early and or I work parking is an obstacle but they had no complaints they set up everything and were very cheerful and matter-of-fact they set up everything within a matter of minutes so they are truly an awesome company. Had their catering and a conference this weekend. While I didn't pay for the service I did get to enjoy the food. Dinner the first night was a chicken chili (or veggie alternative) with corn chips. Not too bad. Breakfast was continental so there was a wide spread of bagels, muffins and other carbs, as well as a spread if fruit and nantucket's own juice. Finally the lunch on the second day was full of wraps, sandwiches, and pasta salad. Their cookies were delicious as well. Overall a great experience. read more

I have never order hot food, so I can't comment on that but their sandwiches are excellent (fried eggplant and red pepper spread is my fav) and have always garnered favorable comments from my clients. La Prima is far and away my favorite catering company to use for work events. I have been ordering from them for at least the last 2-3 years and it never seems to matter to them if my event is a small lunch of 12 people or a large event with 75 people, they always deliver the same great food and great service each time!! The drivers are always extremely friendly. They help set up the meal and they bring all needed utensils, plates and napkins. We're a non-profit, so we do not get to order food often, but La Prima has always been there for us and always makes us feel like we are VIP customers to them. The food has always been delivered on time and exactly how we ordered it. 2 great examples of their great service: - in March we had a major event, on the first day I was made aware of a severe dietary restriction for one of our guests, so at the last minute I was calling/emailing La Prima to ask for adjustments for the rest of the week's meals, and not only did they help me, they were really nice about it. And when I had to call again the next day for more adjustments, they once again treated me kindly and took care of us. Supporting that week long event was quite stressful but thanks to La Prima, food was not one of my stressors!! - Today. we just got funding approved for a VIP lunch tomorrow, so at 3pm I'm sending a next day request for a small lunch order, which they are able to help with. I really appreciate being able to call the day before and get our special guests taken care of. I really can't say enough how much I love this place.
