    Nutella & banana crepe
    Kelli A.

We had a bread, cheese & meat plate that was very good. The Nutella & banana crepe was good & big enough to share. The medium size Coke was actually a decent size!

The food is OK, but the service can be slow. My wife ordered the French Onion Soup, which was rather tasty. I ordered the Tartiflette - potatoes, onions, and cheese in a casserole dish. It had decent flavor, but wasn't anything special. For dessert, we had the blueberry tart, which was disappointing. It was just.. plain. This seems to be what people refer to as a tourist trap. Probably most restaurants in this area of Chamonix are.

    Hamburger for 16 euros

You're here to eat on the main road outside. You are not here for good cuisine so choose classic dishes and drink draft beer. Great for tourists.

    Mold on bread

Do not eat here. We ordered the cheese fondue. The bread was moldy. How do you get moldy bread in France - in a restaurant? They did not offer to remove any cost, instead the brought a "fresh basket of bread." My appetite was already ruined because we had been eating the bread with the fondue. We didn't want more bread. Gross.

The steak tastes like a $10 steak you would buy from a crappy diner. Extremely over priced and terrible quality of meat!

It has a locals vibe and is always packed at dinner time. The restaurant isn't fancy -- plenty of people in mountain casual attire; but the food is outstanding! We came here 2x on our trip, after a couple fabulous meals in Chamonix. Pricing isn't cheap-- we spent €100 for two both nights, with one shared appetizer, bottle of wine, and two entrees. That said the food was excellent. We had (over two nights): 1. Fondue with Mushrooms: a dream come true. We ordered one serving, for both of us to share, both nights. Creamy, warming, and dreamy. A must. 2. Lamb Tenderloins: gamey with bone in. My husband loved it. 3. Filet with mushrooms: reasonable portion in a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. Savory and filling. 4. Salmon entree: omg. This dish is amazing. Best salmon with anchovy butter. Ever. Licked the plate clean both nights. Tender, crispy, and flavorful. Absolutely dreamy.

They have very reasonable pre fixe dinners. The food is not too fancy but still special and the serving portions are very generous. Dishes that we enjoyed include foie gras, steak pre fixe, onion soup and many excellent and fresh salads. The atmosphere is very nice and modern. Lighting is bright enough to read the menu. The service is very good. They also have English menus. House wine is good too

That being said, the burgers here are really good! We tried: The hash brown poco loco - this burger was so hefty! But also pretty decent. The hash brown made it stand out, so if you get the regular poco loco, I assume you get a pretty standard burger. Definitely not bad but nothing special in terms on ingredients. However, I really liked the bun! The outside was thicker and crispy without feeling stale. And the inside of the bun was still soft! Frenchie - this burger was my personal favorite of the two. Same compliments for the bun, but I loved the combination of the cheese and honey for the toppings. It was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The fries and onion rings were both really good as well. The fries were really crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and salted generously. And the onion rings were pretty typical. One thing I wasn't a big fan of was how long our order took just because we were waiting on the fries which took forever. But they ended up upgrading our fries to a medium for the trouble, so no complaints here!
