The spa is set amid a beautiful canyon and provides great scenery, but the real 5-star experience is in the small building- now the Canyon Spa- that used to be the home of the community's caretaker. This is far from an extravagant spa facility and they do not have extensive amenities such as sauna/steam/jacuzzi, but the building is very clean, relaxing, and well appointed with luxurious and comfortable pleasantries and the service is top notch. Our massage treatments were great (my wife's was a maternity massage which she was very satisfied with) and we felt relaxed and not rushed at all. This may not have the pomp and circumstance of Old Edwards, but I haven't had many, if any, better actual massage treatments. Thanks!

My mother in law didn't love hers as much as I did, but she enjoyed it overall (hers was a male masseuse), but our friend agreed her scrub was fantastic. If we are in the area again, I will be back for a massage! The only downside to this spa is it doesn't have your typical spa amenities, I wouldn't take off stars for it but it would be nice if it had a dipping pool, sauna room or something additional to set the mood. On property is the Canyon Kitchen, which was closed for an event but we really wanted to sit out back for an appetizer and enjoy the beautiful views from the property.

Alyssa is the owner and esthetician. She really knows skin, inside and out. We chatted about what was going on with my skin and agreed on the 75 minute "Clarifying Facial." I've suffered with hormonal /cystic acne since my early teens. Having been under the mag-lamp of many estheticians, I have undergone a variety of facials and experienced all kinds of estheticians - the ones that don't say anything, the ones that chat the whole time, the ones that try to upsell you on products/services throughout, and the ones that just go through the motions without really being present. Alyssa doesn't fall into any of these categories ; she is super personable and accommodating to ensure that you have a wonderful experience. She read me well, and understood that I wanted a tranquil, relaxing experience - not to chat. Alyssa was focused throughout the duration of the treatment - even tailored the facial to fit my skins needs. When I asked about the products - some smelled so delicious that my mouth watered - she was extremely knowledgable , explaining the ingredients and benefits. Overall: extractions were gentle, yet effective, products smelled incredible, toasty slippers instantly warmed my feet, and the scalp massage was out of this world. Alyssa is an effective waxer. She thoughtfully shaped and cleaned my bold brows without overwaxing. I was super impressed with her Brazilian technique - quick, clean, and MUCH less painful than other waxes I've endured.
