The owner's depth of knowledge in skincare is unlike anything I've encountered. Angel has studied all over the world from Japan to Italy to bring together the very best practices to create treatments that are completely tailored to each client. What amazed me most was how she immediately recognized exactly what my skin needed, as well as which areas of my body and organs could use attention. Her expertise in Chinese medicine and reflexology shined through in the most intuitive and personalized way. She only uses natural products, which not only felt nourishing but gave me peace of mind knowing everything was safe and beneficial for my skin. The entire space felt like a sanctuary--a place where I could fully relax, let go, and truly be cared for. Her intuition was spot on, from selecting the perfect products to focusing on the areas of my body that needed healing. It wasn't just a spa treatment; it was a holistic experience for both my skin and my spirit. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and deeply grateful. I can't recommend this spa highly enough--it's rare to find someone who combines such global knowledge, natural healing, and genuine intuition in their practice. DJ and Ashley are the principal therapists and owners of family run Somatic Healing. Both my…read morehusband and I booked sessions with DJ because of our schedules. As a former professional athlete I've had 100's of deep tissue massages and DJ ranks at the top! He is well versed in the structure and musculature of the body and his instincts and techniques addressed my issues perfectly. He can literally "see with his hands" noting where the tension is located and easing it without any guidance from me. I personally am always interested in how the muscles attach and fan out to joints in the body and DJ offered excellent explanations that helped me understand what was going on and why an area might be impacted even though it wasn't the location of my discomfort. He is a true asset in our town of Waynesville and I'm thrilled to have found truly effective treatment in massage and beyond. Their scope of services is broader than massage and definitely worth exploring. Don't hesitate to book an appointment here! Even my husband who is a massage newbie was impressed (and greatly improved) with the treatment he received for shoulder weakness and pain. We've already booked our next appointment and are putting visits to Somatic on our monthly calendar. Go! You're going to love it!
