If I could only recommend one restaurant in Paris, this would be that place! I think this might be…read moreone of my favorite meals ever, not just on vacation. After a very long day in Disney Paris, my friends and I were starving and not looking to go far so we found this place right around the corner from where we were staying. The owner is this sweetheart who suggested we order three dishes each and then share everything. Three of us decided to share and one of the girls in the group decided to get three things for herself. We also paired the meal with a bottle of white and a bottle of rosé that completed our meal perfectly! What we ordered: - 2 scallop carpaccio - 2 mushroom risotto - 3 gnocchi - mini burger - stuffed peppers - white fish (don't remember the actual fish) ceviche - veggie quesadillas - mozzarella sticks Not one plate that was sent to us wasn't devoured. Personally, our favorites were the Gnocchi, soft and pillowy in the most AMAZING cream sauce, and scallop carpaccio, fresh scallops seasoned to perfection in a light acidic sauce. Even the dishes that I probably would never order in Paris like the mozzarella sticks, quesadilla and mini burger. We're also completely delicious. Actually the mozzarella sticks had the most insane, you can tell that these were homemade. Even with no room left in our stomach, we ordered dessert. We ordered two crème brûlée and two chocolate cakes to split and then a apple tart for the table. Crème brûlée was insane, a must order! When my friends left and I was in Paris by myself, I actually came back alone twice! When I went, it was around the Olympics, so the owner was so nice to come and sit with me and show me how to get cheap tickets online that I never would've been able to find myself. Such a sweet soul! The place is pretty small, they pack as many tables as they could in here. Make a reservation if you want to sit outside or come later in the night if you just want to walk in.

Great French dining experience with a bit of a twist...."tapas" style! Got to taste & enjoy more…read morevariety of dishes. There's a good selection to choose from. I believe it's different every time. Had the mushroom risotto, beef kafta, salmon tartar, crispy chicken, squid, and ceviche. Must say right portions and assortment for me. You can always get more depending on your appetite . Place was a bit small but still cozy, there's more outside dining as well. Service was fast and very friendly.

Awesome albeit TINY bar! Did someone say cheap beer?!? Count me in :)…read moreThis bar, which called Charlie et sa bière à 2 balles, is known just for that - beer for 2 bucks. Before u get too excited, the 2€ beer is a Demi, or a half-pint. But still, not bad - half pints are 2€ all night. Happy hour, which lasts until 9, offers 3.50€ pints of basic blonde beer, and 5€ pints of maredsous, a stronger tasty Belgian beer. The regular 3.50 pints were actually pretty delicious compared to what you would get elsewhere. The ambiance here is super chill! You feel at home. The staff are super friendly. It's important to mention that this place is EXTRA SMALL! Like legit tiny. 2 people can not be standing in the tiny walkway in front of the bar, or else you can't get by. That being said, the small nature of this place really adds to its charm. It's intimate and cozy. And it being a small bar is really a plus when it comes to placing your order at the bar. A minute or so before happy hour ended, I was able to easily place my order without any line or stress or people pushing and score happy hour pricing :) When looking for the bar, don't blink or you will miss it haha. It's really a tiny and narrow space. There is a little bit of table space in the back of the bar with some stools, and there is a downstairs section with tables and chairs too which is also on the small side. Just try to get here early if you wanna snag a table! As for food (cuz we all get a little hungry when drinking), there's a full selection of tapas and sharing plates and such. You can also order burgers or whatever. the only hitch is that you have to go across the street to place your order (it's LITERALLY right across from the place, you walk like 2 meters to get across the street, max) and the server will bring it to you in the bar. Cool, right? So for a group of 5, we went with a big plate of cheese 10€, an entire sausage (huge) 7€, and 2 plates of nachos (4€ each), for a total of 25€ and we were stuffed! The cheese plate was good, but the nachos were very disappointing. They were cold!!! Like not even warm. And basically it was just a slice or 2 of cheese on top of some nacho chips (not even fully melted - refer to pics) and some creamy tomato sauce at the bottom. Nachos are honestly not really hard to make and are hard to screw up so that was a little sad. I hope they improve their nacho game cuz 4€ nachos would be a hit otherwise in a bar. Come check it out for yourself :)

la mangerie is a funky tapas restaurant with a hip ambiance and big tapas to share. upon arrival,…read morewe were given shots to take and then taken through a secret door to a tropical island themed room. the tables are very close together and it does get loud as the night goes on. service was efficient and explained how the menu works. the reviews are true about the portions: the tapa size is very generous (of course reflected in the price). the dishes/flavors also tend to lean on the heavier side. my friend and i shared 3 tapas and we were stuffed. so 2 per person is more than enough. tapas are a mix of cuisines so fun to mix and match. // braves patates (fried potatoes) 11.5 // fried potato cubes with a delicious garlic aoili and spicy red sauce. these were definitely heavy but i really enjoyed the two sauces and you can't go wrong with fried potatoes. // butternut grillee, yaourt grec aux herbes et noisettes (grilled butternut squash with greek yogurt) 15 // the warm grilled butternut squash went well with the cool greek yogurt. i enjoyed the herbs and toppings as well. // peanut fried chicken 17 // a very filling but yummy dish! this peanut is more like the thai satay styled, and is on the sweeter side. fried popcorn-like chicken bites. all tapas were good in their own ways and incorporated different flavors and cuisines. wish i had more stomach space to try more of them!
