Hi Debbie! Thank you for yesterday! I feel great today. When I woke up I felt a little nervous because my stomach was feeling funny like I had to poop (discouraged because I know that feeling all too well), but once I used the restroom, it was better and I still feel good today. I haven't felt this normal in decades. No bloating and I am loving it. read more

This was not a professionally conducted colonic. My sister was required to operate the colonic herself with no prior training or explanation that it would be self-administered. She was given a massager and told to turn the water on and off on her own during the session. This was extremely uncomfortable and distressing for her. There was no clear disclosure before the appointment that this was a self-service setup. A procedure this invasive should be handled by a trained professional with proper guidance and informed consent. If this is a self-operated service, it needs to be clearly stated before booking so people can decide if they are comfortable with that. This experience did not feel safe or professional. read more

La Paz Spa - Hydrotherapy Near Me - Seal Beach, California

I wasn't sure what to expect when going for my first hydrotherapy appointment. I've had gut issues for a while and extreme bloated. I like finding natural remedies and prevention for wellness issues. I looked at many reviews and liked positive reviews I saw for La Paz spa. Debbie was very knowledgeable and kind. She put me at ease during the process. My results started to come the days after my appointment. I felt lighter and had more energy. The bloating started going away day 2. I'll definitely be back soon for another appointment. read more

Though I received a session from Debbie months ago and forgot to give a review till now, I can honestly say her colon cleanse was top notch and has helped me in my everyday life. From my longer term effect perspective, after 5 months, I can say I am due for another session. After receiving a cleanse, I saw an immediate relief and lasted for about a month for me. With the proper consistency with receiving a cleanse, I am sure I would benefit even more. I love how Debbie's natural remedy has given me another supporting avenue of keeping my colon and gut clean and healthy. I will certainly be scheduling another session soon. read more

If you're looking for something super high end and fancy then this place ain't it. I've struggled with gut problems for years due to stress. My holistic doctor recommended I get a colonic years ago and my coworker told me about this place months ago. Last week I was feeling very bloated and disgusting so I decided to give this place a try. I called and there was no answer so I eventually got a text back from this place. I scheduled an appointment and later came in waddling and Debbie took me in. I was hella nervous and didn't know what to expect but she made me feel very comfortable. Debbie touched my stomach and immediately could tell I was very bloated and truthfully, any pressure on my belly was painful at first. Once the session started, Debbie helped me massage areas of my stomach and explained how the colonic works. After I got the hang of it, she exited to room and occasionally came to check on me. Within 10 minutes of the procedure, my stomach immediately started to feel better. At the end, I felt a lot cleaner internally. Debbie explained to me a lot of benefits of the procedure. I can't wait to return. Just a few tips for those of you reading my review: hydrate well before coming, I would also recommend to bring a small bag to place your clothes and phone into while you get a colonic and maybe an extra t-shirt. read more

This review is long overdue! Love that there's a place like this driving distance from me. I had been doing Colonics (Closed Systems) since 2012. It wasn't until the year that changed our lives: 2020; that I was "Forced" to try the dreaded Colonic on an Open System...DAMMMMM am I in love with it! I had avoided it because my previous Colon Hydrotherapist scared the "Shit out of me," literally while getting a colonic. How there was nothing better than the Closed System and it's the only sanitary kind.... Now let me tell you why that's far from the truth.... Why I love La Paz open system colonic: *My own privacy and comfort. -Unit is fully Sanitized (Disinfected) and Insertion tip is always a new one. -The water insertion tip is slightly bigger than about the thickness of a pencil. -I control when I want to release without having to depend on a Colon Hydrotherapist. -Oh and do I love Elsa .... you shall meet her there = ) read more

No one picks up the phone and I called 2 of their numbers. They do respond to text messages but that was useless. I sent a message asking if I could get information about their services. They responded with sending me their website or I could continue texting them. So I asked them what were the risks with doing a colonic and I was simply told to go do my research on the process. I asked if it was not a question they could answer and I was told again to research the issue for a better understanding. For a place that provides these services, they should be able to provide me an answer to my question since they have probably researched it themselves and/or done it many times. Not to mention as a business you can't pick up your phone and you'd rather text? Will not be spending my money here. read more

This place has saved me over and over, again. Literally, ER-worthy blockages were resolved thanks to La Paz Spa. I've been getting colonics for decades, and no one can beat this place/ Debbie's knowledge, nor the open system (not a fan of the closed system). I've seen an immense change in my mental and physical health since getting colonics. I love that there are two locations, and not too far apart from one another, in case one is busy. We also love and appreciate Kim! Everyone makes you feel so comfortable from start to finish. God bless La Paz Spa, and Debbie! read more

Can't recommend this place enough!! I've been going here once a month for the last 10 months. My physical and mental health was at the lowest it's ever been.... 10 months latter I'm feeling the best I've felt in years. I never thought I would get to this point. Debbie has been amazing with me too. She's gone out of her way to help me reach my goals and I can't thank her and La Paz enough. read more

I did colon hydrotherapy when I lived in Nashville a few years back but have not gone to one in California since moving here. However after several weeks of constipation, incomplete bowel movements, bloating, and chronic foul-smelling gas (my poor husband and dog!!!), I knew I had to find a colonics place and get all this junk out of my system! It was making me miserable, bloated, and I was struggling to lose any weight (due to the old crap weighing me down). I read the reviews on Yelp and thought they were pretty accurate. Also the location of the clinic was convenient for me. Beware of the loud bird on the other side of the door who has a human-like voice. That bird is very chatty.... Debbie was very nice and funny. She definitely helped things "flow" more easily, no pun intended. Lol. Debbie does a great job walking you through the process and helping you with the colon cleanse. If you've never had a colonic session before, you have to put your fears and pride aside and consider this a medical necessity! Due to the American diet and what most restaurants put in our food (even the "healthy foods"), we all have toxins in our system affecting us in different shapes and forms. For me, my sensitive stomach has a lot of physical side effects to not eating clean most of be time. For others, diseases and even mental side effects can result. Therefore it's important to take good care of your colon. Your future health depends on it! Yes, you have to stick a tiny tube inside you and as warm water fills you up, you also have to "release" multiple times. I won't lie - it gets really uncomfortable and sometimes the cramps are too much. But the cramps are all signs of gas being built up and wanting to be released. So you have to look at it as a necessary inconvenience for what we have done to our bodies over the recent days/months/years. The attendant won't be there the entire session, but she will check on you from time to time and assist as needed. You can also push the call button for her as well. I was done in about 45-50 minutes. I felt sooo much emptier and the bloating had gone away (you do have a lot of water in you but it'll go away on its own). Also I don't recommend eating spicy foods or doing anything strenuous afterwards. Use it to relax and rest your body. It's been through a lot :) I would definitely go back and may just go every quarter or so just to keep things in check. But if my IBS constipation comes back, I'm definitely going back to the clinic! read more

I went into my appointment super congested, Debbie let me stay in for a little longer and then BOOM!! I am definitely coming to this wonderful place again. read more

I went in yesterday for a colonic. I had one years ago but it was a different system where someone else controlled the flush. This system was way easier and comfortable, the tube is smaller and you're in control of the flush. Debbie was very comforting and informative. She explains everything as she doing it. It was a great experience I will be back . I felt so great after. Highly recommend. read more

What can sometimes be embarrassing, Debbie makes you feel so warm and welcome and at ease. She really talked me through it and helped with the massaging. First one I didn't know what to expect but I had great success and will be back. Also love the probiotics with enzymes, easy on my tummy and easy to swallow. Thank you Debbie :) read more

Amazing amazing amazing. I'm so happy my girlfriend recommended this place. I can't believe how full of shit I was literally. The owner Debbie really knows her shit (lol) gosh so many fun puns. But in all seriousness, I was very nervous, but Debbie really made me feel comfortable. It does not hurt at all and you will be amazed when you see all the stuff floating out of you. Also, her machine is awesome!!! I did one years ago using another system and it was painful and not as effective. read more

After a crappy first time Colonic at Hudavi Welness Spa (feel free to read the review I left for them), I was not going to give up and continued to research to find a place where I could experience a colonic. La Paz had good reviews here and everyone seemed to sing Debbie's praises so I made an appointment based off of the Yelp reviews alone. So I will say that after a horrific first time with a "closed system" colonic, which uses an insertion speculum that is the size of a DRY ERASE MARKER, I was thrilled to discover that the insertion tube for an "open-system" is as she stated on her website "the size of a pencil." I would reccomend that anyone who is doing a first time not only come here, but where ever you go, do the open system! That way if you get overstuffed with water, you don't risk suffering painful water bloat or having an "explosion!!" lol. The thing I learned if if there is a problem or emergency and you need to get up, it's going to be much easier to do with the open system, than the closed one. Debbie is just a down-to-earth, educated lady who knows her stuff. She used to be a nurse so she has an understanding about the digestion system that goes beyond your typical Colonic "tech". She was great with the abdominal massage and also has a hand held message tool that you can use on yourself when she is out of the room. So here are some tips when you go for your colonic: 1. Be prepared to meet her pet parrot or cute little dog that sometimes is there 2. She will offfer you an electrolite drink or a probiotic after your treatment 3. If you don't like traditional lubes, and prefer something organic bring your own (I use Super Salve, Angel Baby Bottom Balm or sometimes I will even make my own with a combo of sheabutter, cocobutter, coconut oil and essential oils--) I will never go anywhere else for my colonic needs and if you ever go here, I doubt you would either. read more

I usually do not take the time to write a 1 star review. But the with many egregious errors and problems I felt the general public should be aware. First I have been holistic for over 30 years and do acupuncture, and spa days regularly. My colonic guy moved out of the state so I was looking for a local place to get a colonic. When I called last week. I got the run around with whomever I talked to saying this was a cell and she was out of town and would get back with on scheduling. (Instead of most businesses have an organized booking system and a secretary). I never heard back. I did text and call 1 time over the weekend. No call back. On my Monday I got through I booked a colonic appt at the Seal Beach location for 12:30. When I arrived I was appalled by the set up. I heard a parrots or birds yapping so loud in the room behind the waiting room. The waiting room was also in disarray and disorganized. An Asian woman finally opened the door and didn't know who I was. (Serious unorganization). I gave my name 3 times. She then handed me an electronic fill out form which I could have easily printed out online and had done .. the the establishment would have been organized enough to inform me. The woman who greeted me was a bit gruff. I didn't get a good vibe and obviously she didn't look healthy. Not a good sign for a spa. As I sat there getting a head ache from the yapping bird. I was thinking. Who the hell would bring an animal into a colonic space? Feathers/dander is not conducive to a clean/quiet/healing detox environment. It was just craziness. I didn't comfortable being in the space. I left. Usually when someone advertises as a SPA.. Once expects a clean quiet healing environment. Sanitary.... Not a claustrophobic disorganized waiting room. No plants, no fountains or healing energy. Maybe this is fine for the average public.. It is completely unacceptable for me. And an attendant who can't even remember the appt. or name. Also unprofessional of the owner to text back .. that she is out of town, can't get reception on her cell. etc. Excuses.. excuses. Then hire a secretary or learn how to run a business. Way too much confusion and unprofessionalism. It's a big NO on LA PAZ read more

I had my first colonic treatment this morning, and very pleased with the results. I will definitely be going back. I left with flatter stomach, and more energetic. The parrot was an added bonus. My ESA French Bulldog really enjoyed the parrot as well. The initial contact with Debbie was professional and helpful. She's willing to answer any questions or concerns as well. The turnaround time to get an appointment was very fast. I chatted via text with Debbie, and received an appointment the following day. Appointment was made upon completing necessary documents to assure that I was a candidate for colonic therapy. Thanks again for a positive experience! read more

Of all the decisions I have made in my life this is by far the best ever!! I was so skeptical and reluctant to get a colonics treatment but I was desperate to lose weight and inches and the treatment did just that. Being in the military we have to maintain our weight and sadly I gained the COVID 15lbs. With the daily running, healthy eating and exercising the last couple pounds were stubborn and being mid 40's it is harder to lose the weight. The colonics gave my system the extra push it needed to lose what I needed to. Debbie and Kim are awesome and made me feel great about my decision and they do have a forever customer. Thank you so much La Paz for the wonderful experience and introducing me to something healthy and needed to incorporate into my lifestyle. Markeisha read more

I had the most unprofessional interaction with someone I am assuming is the owner or scheduler of La Paz Spa. First and foremost she refuses to conduct any conversation over the phone and requires you to text. Second, she is rude and lacks customer service or accountability. Kim, the employee, I encountered in person did tell me not to come to my appointment and to wait a week. I agreed. The owner, name unknown, text me stating she had a $60 no call no show fee and would not reschedule me. It is clear Kim and the owner did not communicate. The owners instinct was to lack customer service and make no accommodations without taking into consideration that her employee told me not to come. Owner then text me that "Kim will take blame" truly a red flag. She may not treat her employees well either. Kim does not need to take "blame" their was simply a lack of communication that needs to be worked on but not at the CLIENTS EXPENSE. read more

Feeling down in the dumps? Are the shits holding you back from normal daily activities? Is the bloating making you look like a hippo? Is your gas smelling lethal? If so, La Paz Spa might be the solution for you! La Paz Spa offers Hydro Colontherapy. For $77 and a 45 minute session you can have old waste and undigested food removed from your large intestine using the Libbe machine. So having a pencil size tube inserted up the anus is painful, right? Wrong. Although it sounds pretty shitty, it's uncomfortable at first but it's not so bad. Having it done so many times, I've become a pro at it. If you need help sticking the tube inside, the staff is great and will help you. Don't be shy as they are used to having the "shittiest" job. Once the session has begun and the tube has been placed up your anus, you can lay down, relax and watch the elimination ejected thru a clear viewing tube. WHAT GOES IN MUST COME OUT! Don't be surprised to see tiny pieces of those Ding Dongs, Twinkies, Cheetos, Del Taco, McDonalds, Street Hot Dogs make it's way thru the tube. It's definitely not a sight you'll want to see but keep in mind parasites, harmful toxins and trapped fecal also get removed in this ejection process. I would highly recommend La Paz Spa. I almost guarantee that you'll be feeling a lot less shitty by the time you leave. read more

Just finished my first visit with Debbie. I feel compelled to write a review. I had a very positive response to the colonic here. I was comfortable and Debbie is very knowledgeable. I love watching all of the crap come out of my colon I feel somewhat euphoric and cleansed now. I had only tried this once before at Hudavi and it was uncomfortable and awkward. I hopped on yelp to find a new place and am so glad that I found Debbie. I don't feel comfortable around people in general, but she made me feel at ease. She has a bird that talks and also a little puppy in the shop. For some reason, they distracted me and put me in a zen kinda place. Also, she has a tv above the bed that you can watch during your procedure, I chose not to because I wanted to see what was coming out of me. I had such a pleasant experience that I already booked a follow up appointment. I am generally healthy, but sometimes I get constipated when I travel and eat bad. I was having sharp sensations on my left side of my tummy, Debbie knew just what it was from and recommended stuff to help with this in the future. Bottom line, I will recommend her to all of my friends for colonics. read more

Whoever answers the phone for this place (I assume the owner) is super unprofessional. I called twice to schedule a session and both times the woman was very distracted- either talking to someone else, frantic about driving directions, confused, putting me on hold. I've had gastro problems since I was a little girl. The constipation, the bloating, the abdominal pain. I've also had 4 surgeries for endometriosis and finally a full abdominal hysterectomy. Did I mention I'm only 34? It's been 3 months since my (hopefully) final surgery. I was miserable. Completely bloated and in so much pain, I could hardly walk. I needed a change. I've had a colonic before that used the Libbe system and definitely wanted to find that again. The Libbe system uses a much smaller tube, which is about the size of a pencil, so you really don't feel it and it's comfortable. I found that La Paz spa uses that and made my appointment. I was greeted by Debbie and Natalie and let me tell you they both made me feel at ease. I could see the light at the end of the tunnel that I would feel better after this one session. My first session was hard, I didn't realize how backed up I was and how the surgery had wreaked havoc on my body. I bought a package of 3 and used them all in a row. What a difference. I left feeling light, the bloating diminished and the energy was incredible. It gave me hope. I love the fact that Debbie is also a nurse. Not only is she totally knowledgeable about everything colonics, but she also understand the scientific side of things. She answers any and all of my crazy questions, so don't be shy! It doesn't stop there, she explains and is there (if you're interested, never pushing) to help you to improve your health wholly. She cares, this is her passion and it shows. I still go about every week and combine my sessions with a wrap, use of the sauna, or a massage from Debbie. I've found that combining treatments helps me eliminate more during the colonic. It's also not expensive. Everything is very reasonable and the additions are not ridiculous in price, and to me, is totally worth it. You might be asking how to I afford this? Let me say, I'm definitely not rich. I live paycheck to paycheck like a lot of you out there. I've just made my health the priority. So instead of wanting the buy that cute dress, or splurging on that expensive dinner. I stop and think about it. I'd rather continue my colonics because nothing looks better on you than good health. Now, I have the energy to take that long walk to the park with my 2-year old and start living the life I've wanted to life for years. If you're on the fence about it...just try it. One session, and you'll notice a difference. AND with Debbie, you'll laugh and be full of knowledge when you leave. It's just like visiting with a great friend. Thanks Debbie and Natalie.
