Closest to authentic Mexican food you will get. They are very pricey but you cant find any better quesadilla honestly.

We drove out of our way to try this place and honestly it was a bit confusing to figure out where to order. There are two lines and it's not very clear which one we are supposed to get in for what. Especially because some of the items are duplicate on both menus. I noticed there was barely anyone in the "restaurant" line. Anyway, we sort of got a little bit of everything and wasn't completely brown away. I liked that they let you add your own toppings, and all of the sauces that have available were great. But the taco meats all sort of lacked a bit of flavor. Carnitas are my favorite but these were a bit inconsistent. Some pieces were very nice and juicy where others were hard to chew. I will say the place is very clean and spacious. They're pretty quick with your order as well. The food was lacking flavor for me personally. Overall, I don't think I would go back.

That combo is rare and I refuse to take it for granted. The food is just incredible across the board. And I mean ALL of it. I have yet to order something that didn't completely deliver. The flavors are bold, authentic, and made with what clearly feels like actual care and love going into every dish. It's the kind of food that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate what's happening. And the prices? Beyond reasonable. You are getting so much food and flavor for what you pay -- it never feels like a splurge even when you go all out on the order. I find myself coming back any chance I get and honestly the hardest part of the visit is just deciding what to get because everything is that good. It's become one of those non-negotiable spots for me -- the kind of place I'll drive for and never think twice about. If you're in the Manassas area and you haven't been to La Jarochita yet, fix that immediately. You will not regret it, you will not leave hungry, and your wallet will thank you.

La Jarochita Restaurant - They have an entire concha wall which is always an indication of good things to come. I had lunch here and their food was spot on.

And the mix of flavors and pickled onions was just delicious. Loved the presentation as well and my mom and aunt also loved it! Ambience: -really spacious and lovely. Has photos of Frida and also a spot that you can take photos so because it felt festive for us, we definitely did! Staff/service: -we got to meet Abigail who was friendly, prompt, and helpful as we navigated the menu and all. Overall: -love this spot!! It's a little hidden because it's in a lot with a gas station and hotel, but please consider it for your next fix! Will be back :)

Reviews were beaming, but I was immediately disappointed that the usual complimentary chips and salsa for the table was over $7.00 - hard pass. The tacos looked great, they photo very well. The server was very nice and allowed me to do a la carte on the tacos and get 3 kinds. These fell flat as the tortillas were rubbery and didn't taste fresh. The meat flavor needed love. I really enjoyed the included refried beans side, but the rice wasn't tender soft, but brittle. If I returned, I'd probably try an enchilada to sample the sauces. Overall, I left "full," but not satisfied.

I have tried carnitas in so many places and hands down this is the best around. I live in Alexandria and drive the hour when in the mood. However, the most recent visit showed how drastically you have changed - not sure if it's the recipe, cutting corners, new chefs... I ordered the carne asada and the al pastor tacos, with onions but opted out of cilantro. The filling was super generous; however, the carne asada were not the small little chunks of steak as they used to be - it was more ground beef-like? The al pastor, while the marinade was laid on super thick, I just wasn't a fan of the tangy flavor it had; plus, there were not slices of pineapples, which is my favorite part. The hot sauce seemed a bit watered down, but it still held a kick. Staff were friendly, as always; no complimentary chips due to the current pandemic, which is understandable. I was just super disappointed with the tacos... +changed recipe?! +friendly staff +plenty of parking in plaza lot
