The food as a Mexican was amazing especially when you know different regions from Mexico and you know each regions have their flavors and staples. It has been a pleasure for my palate to enjoy those flavor again. We always like asking about the background and origins of the restaurants we visit and we always note and comparare details. The flavors just to reiterate.... Awesome! Atmosphere and service totally outstanding, today was our second time and the person even apologized for us not getting the same booth, we were like what??? You remember that and us? Well we are sold and we found the new place for us to invite friend and have family celebrations! Maybe I can not give a Michelin Star but for sure a "Miguelin" star! Thank you all! Jeziel, Isri, Eli, Charlie , Rolando, we do not know all the names yet but we will acknowledge every one properly and please know that little things come a long way and make a difference!!!! Addendum- for some reason my original post did not post when intended but now that I can, still going there and love it still!!! We have had family gatherings, great moments to celebrate and even when lows, we still found this place an amazing place to be. In all honesty, we feel like they are family, almost like the show Cheers... "sometimes you want to go where every body knows your name". It has been for us a great balance of consistency all around, service, the food, the drinks, even if prices went up (given the economy right now), we know it will be great! Even during these times they have never tried to cut corners or even increase prices!! We love you guys and will continue supporting our local businesses!!

The coconut doesn't over power the drink and it's not too sweet. The pink color is perfectly pink just like a Malibu sunset. The food was amazing and the service was excellent.

If you're in McKinney Tx and looking for a Tex-Mex restaurant, look no further than…read more This family run operation is providing exceptional food and service. I judge tex- Mex restaurants by their enchiladas. My experience rating restaurants by this dish has proven reliable. You can't fake the most basic of Mexican food. These enchiladas were perfectly made, The con-carne and cheese toppings were delicious. The soft cheese taco offering shows they are authentic tex-mex recipes. The chips and salsa were fresh and savory. Make sure to order the at your table made fresh guacamole ( very entertaining). The cup of queso is a good appetizer too. The fajitas combo is off the chart . The MIA comes with two enchiladas two different toppings, crispy beef taco, rice , and beans. Good atmosphere inside and nice patio area outside. The bar is separate and attended by knowledgeable bar tender. The server, wait staff, chef, and manager are the best team I've had in years! Overall this establishment rates in the top 10 Percentile Don't wait too long to dine here yourself See you there soon .

We placed our order and then sat in the bar area while we waited for our food to be prepared and packaged up. The tables in the bar area were very comfortable and they even brought us some chips and hot sauce while we waited. Love the neon sign behind the bar "Pick Your Poison." I failed to take any photos of our food once we got to my son's house but several of us really enjoyed the Cowboy entree. It comes with a brisket taco, beef enchilada and a tamale, along with rice. It was huge enough to split. The grandkids ordered their typical chicken fingers and they liked them.

On my second visit, I tried a mix of birria de chivo (goat) and birria de res (beef) tacos. The beef was well seasoned and flavorful, but unfortunately the tortillas were a bit too burnt this time. I also decided to try the rice and beans, which ended up being a miss for me. The beans had a canned aftertaste and were very bland, while the rice was dry and also lacking flavor. I tried three of their salsas: salsa verde, salsa verde tatemada (served warm), and the habanero salsa. The two green salsas were decent, but the habanero stood out with great flavor and a nice kick of heat. The staff was super friendly, and service was quick on both visits. Overall, based on consistency and my experience across both trips, I'd rate this spot 3.5 stars.

I'm guessing it depends where you grew up in Mexico. The place is small and you can tell is packed. It's a great place I will say parking is confusing so just pay attention. I did have a breakfast taco with bacon but there literally was no bacon. I will return to try again they were busy ASF.
