Salsa, mild and spicy White sauce with a sweetness Bean dip
    Leah C.

Ok, I was pulling for this place, previously Pete's, in West Pelzer, in the right spot when you're hungry after the football game. But I have to agree with the only other reviewer, who I was hoping to prove wrong...not good. The service was very nice, welcoming us kindly through the door. Though the spicy salsa had a great flavor, and they also offered a mild version in addition to a bean dip and some white sauce, the serving of salsa was barely a taste for our table of 3. The cheese stuffed poblano tasted very leftover and reheated. The quesadilla Verde had nothing more than chicken (though white meat) and cheese...no onions, peppers, tomatoes or other innards, and for $7, not even a side of rice or beans. This was an additional $2 for each side. As we finished eating, the waiter was so kind to offer us each a fried sweet tortilla with whipped cream and a drizzle of *thinned out* chocolate sauce, but unfortunately it didn't redeem the meal.

However, today they had a presumably new employee who did not understand what "a la carte" meant when they have an entire "a la carte" section on their menu. This was able to be cleared up after some explaining. We also ordered sopapillas (advertised with honey, butter, and cinnamon) and received some other dessert that, by the time it was opened at home, was covered in melted ice cream and chocolate. I called the restaurant to inform them that their employee may need further training and their response was to first ask if I had the correct restaurant (I did, they repeated the name back to me over the phone while asking this) and then to ask when this happened. When I responded with the approximate time the order was taken, the response was literally "nuh uh." I will not be back, regardless of how much I enjoy their food. That sort of response to someone attempting to alert you to a problem with your staff is unacceptable.

That being said, we decided to try this place on our way home based off the reviews. Both "servers" had a 'I don't want to be here attitude'. There was a hair in our cheese dip, no "sorry about that". When the food came, the sever basically threw the plates at us, again not a word. Everything was bland. No flavor whatsoever! As for ambiance, ha the fast food booths were super uncomfortable. Oh and when the server cleaned the table across from us, she flung food towards us. Try it at your own risk.

Her son had just made it and tried it, and it was the best thing ever. So I said sure let's do it. It was probably the most amazing recommendation she has ever given me. That dish makes me suck my fingers lol. Everything about Mr. Habanero is amazing. The food is delicious. The staff is very quick and courteous. The space even though it's on the smaller side it is beautiful beautifully decorated. And always clean. I have zero bad words to say about this place. You will probably see me there at least twice a week ordering Birria Noodle Tacos!( what I called them because she hasn't come up with a name for them yet)

Most memorable thing about it was their salsa bar! Over 12 or so dip options two different tomatillo salsas, as well pickled jalapenos with lime! All the salsas that I tried were all very good! Service was quick and food came out relatively fast. I got their enchiladas verdes with shredded chicken, sauce was very good, the shredded chicken was a bit dry, but overall I would definitely suggest this place!
