I was visiting from WA state and wanted a quick manicure. I was disappointed in this experience. First the gentleman made a finger bleed because he was too rough doing my cuticles. Then the paint on my nails were sloppy. I had to go back and remove the extra polish on my skin. And last but not least the prices in the store are different than the prices on the outside board. One is $3 to $5 higher price for the service. Although my first and last time, I was challenged when I inquired about the cost and was told they use the outside sign. Really. Truly disappointed so did not leave a tip (and I usually do even when the service is poor but when you charge me incorrectly, I have a problem). Would not recommend this place. read more

I got my nails done here for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. I was worried that I wouldn't like my nails because I know that I can be pretty picky and particular. I told my nails person how I wanted them done and he did them accordingly. Now I love my nails and can't stop looking at them! Definitely will come back again. Everyone is so nice too. read more

I have been getting my nails done for years and this is by far the most unprofessional salon I have been to! They overcharge and then won't correct mistakes when I returned and asked to have nails fixed. The old polish was still showing through and a broken nail that I paid to have fixed was broken after one day. Very rude and unprofessional. Will not be back and will spread the word to others. This salon was fabulous years ago when Andy and Phoenix we're managing, and even better with Ivy and Darlene. This new ownership doesn't care about customers whatsoever. read more

I would definitely get my nails done here again! My nail technician Tran did a really great job with my gel manicure, it lasted for almost a month and didn't chip at all. I also got my eyebrows waxed by her and the shape was perfect and she didn't wax them too thin. She was also very friendly with impeccable customer service. Not happy with the current customer service. It appears from time to time some managers change at this store and employees. So my last experience did not go good at all. In my opinion this man does not like people of color. This employee spoke to me very harshly and when I told him not to he tells me not to come back. I have no plans to. Customers are important to a business so if you don't like certain people you may not be able to work with the public. Paying customers come in all colors! I've went here a few times and had mixed experiences at first. I usually make the drive to a further salon, but was not able to yesterday and went here instead. HUGE MISTAKE. My nails were lifting and had asked a full set. I have been getting my nails done for years and never have I had someone rip full chunks of my nails out in the center of my nail bed removing old acrylic. Three of my fingers were bleeding. As painful as it was, I passed it off as nothing and let him keep going. My nails are all different lengths, my thumbs easily a centimeter difference in length. They are thick and bumps and all shaped differently. When he used the Dremel tool, he was not even hitting the nail. He was sanding my skin and caused me to bleed even more on my cuticles. He passed me off to someone else to paint them and she immediately got a look of horror when she saw them but did nothing to correct it. She didn't turn the dryer on until I pointed out that it wasn't on and she rolled her eyes at me. She wasn't even letting my hands run the full cycle in the dryer, she kept pulling them out halfway through and was getting irritated that they weren't drying. The paint ended up being spotty and uneven. I work in customer service and have a hard time addressing issues with services I receive so I kept my mouth shut, paid the $50 plus a tip and left. Today my hands STILL hurt. My right ring finger is swollen all around the nail and the my left thumb has the skin peeling off all around the nail. Please do NOT go here. I'm going back to regular place to have them fixed when my fingers heal and I would recommend everyone else do that same. read more

Very unprofessional establishment! My daughter went there to get a fill and was charged $45 when before she went another time it was $30. The man that did her nails, did a horrible job. After she got in the car, she noticed her nails had clumps of polish on it So she called to tell them that her nails were messed up, he told her she could come back up. She was not able to and said how about tomorrow, he said, no I have appointments all day. She decided to go up there first thing when they opened Sunday morning, hoping not to encounter the same guy that did her nails, as she didn't want him to do them again. It so happens, it was him that was there when they opened. She stated she wanted them fixed but not by him. He said he didn't know when someone else would be in to do that. She then stated she wanted her money, he said NO, No refunds! She said there is no sign that says, No refunds, he said because I said that, I'm the manager! After continuously stating there is no refunds, and telling her there is no sign stating that, his exact word, I will make one as he proceeds to the back and literally hand writes one. Instead of displaying professional customer service and taking care of your customers, you want to argue about $45??? I personally will never give you a penny and neither will my daughter... Avoid this place if you can!!! All they care about is taking your money. read more

I searched Yelp for reviews and decided to go to LA Nail & Spa in Hermitage, PA. I was needed a pedicure and thought I'd get a basic manicure to go along with it. I was in for a shock...my pedicure began soon after my arrival, however, I was "prepped" by an older woman who clearly did not speak English and struggled to keep her eyes from roaming all over the room which created her distraction from me as the paying customer. I didn't get the full "spa pedicure" treatment because there was no massage or "treatment" in this experience. Once she was done with whatever she was doing with me another person came to paint my nails. I had to request for my cuticles to be tended to and to be checked for ingrown nails, etc. In the process my toe was cut/injured and I am still nursing the wound days later. Then I had requested a basic manicure and once again found the person working with me busy with their eyes searching the room for activity and as a result my finger at my cuticle was nicked and bleeding (I'm still nursing that wound as well). In addition to my experiences I discovered that although the polish is in OPI bottles it is not OPI polish. The employees "refill" the OPI bottles from another brand of polish. This is deceptive and false advertising in my opinion. If you don't want to use OPI polish put out the brand of the bottles that you do use. My experience cost me about $50 (for the pedi, mani and tip), 2 wounds, and my time. I would not recommend this salon for routine manis / pedis. However, the customers who were getting nails and tips put on seemed to be having a different experience than the one that I had so perhaps my requests and needs were just too minimal to earn the expected attention. To say the least, I'll be looking around when I decide on a nail salon in the Hermitage area in the future. read more
