please stop using the tongs out the pork containers to get beef or chicken with. I don't eat pork and that's cross contamination

The meat is good but the cashiers are always rude. Bad attitudes to women, they are only nice to men.

Came in one day to try the sausage sandwich deal they had posted up on a sign right outside as you…read morewalk in. The sausage seemed dry, old and not as good as it is when I make it at home. It did come with a tiny foam cup of banana pudding, potato salad some beans. They put a side of onions and pickles for the sandwich in a baggie. I was kind of excited to try the banana pudding, I was alright, was kind of stressed about my sandwich falling out of the bag earlier but I still liked it, I wasn't able to enjoy it like i would have if that didn't happen. The paper bag the guy put it in was wet for some reason, the BBQ sauce on the sandwich somehow leaked or it might of been the beans busted in the bag not sure what one was the issue but the sandwich meat n BBQ sauce fell out onto the floor and he replaced it without hesitation. His boss. I'm assuming ? She came over to make sure he was doing a good job as he was remaking the sandwich or was just curious what was wrong? No idea but she whispered something n he handed me back my food all fixed. Won't be getting the sandwich again. Really liked the jalapeno sausage from the case, they wrapped it up in half pound packages for me, chorizo was good. The venison jerky was vacuumed sealed. I keep a pack in my car for emergency traffic munchies, lol. They sell Divinity candy here and pecan pralines, cotton candy. I plan on coming here for my turkey this year for thanksgiving. "Cajun fried turkey" I never had a fried turkey before I'm going to trust this to them. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I mean you can't make this stuff up! This is really the beginning of an American success story that you want to be a part off. Everybody welcomes you as you go through the store. On the right is a small seating area where you enjoy a hot meal. You can order some of the best Mexican food and tacos right in this store. On the right side you will package deals for meat packages. The prices are great for the cuts and amount of food. You continue through a packed grocery store section but not before you pass by the freshly cut meat section. A very large selection of meats here! Then what I found the most interesting part of my visit was to meet the young owner- Mahdi! It was refreshing to hear his story. Here is a former NYC banker with a Master degree in statistics. WHAT!!??!! Having a conversation over cultures, business, politics and the future is worth coming and supporting Mahdi not to mention the good food.

Herbert's Specialty Meats on Richmond near the Galleria instantly took me back home. The moment you walk in, the number of items from Louisiana is delightful Their boudin, seasonings, and prepared items reminded me so much of my grandmother's gumbo, boudin, and rich, slow-cooked stews--comfort food that warms your soul. You can taste the authenticity and love in everything they make. This is the kind of place that understands balance, spice, and tradition. Customer service was excellent--friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to help you find exactly what you're craving. There are tons of choices, whether you're stocking up for a cookout or just grabbing something to satisfy that Cajun craving. For anyone missing Louisiana flavors or wanting the real deal in Houston, Herbert's is a must-stop. It feels like a little piece of "The Boot"
